THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND


1.1 INTRODUCTION

The researchers wanted to solve the problem in the


research entitled Factors Affecting
the Low Performance of Grade 12 Gomez Students on
Computer System Servicing NCII of Prosperidad National
High School. It is because the researchers wanted to
know how effective the teaching strategies need to the
students.
According to Carroll (2017), ICT strand is the new standards
for the students who replaces the basic skills or
competencies for their knowledge and expectation one of
the major reasons that students prefer the strands
because of its importance in the actual fields.
Research in the past decade has shown that
computer technology is an effective means for
widening educational opportunities, but most
teachers neither use technology as an
instructional delivery system nor integrate
technology into their curriculum, (Bauer and
Kenton 2005).
Further, according to Hotter (2006), she noted
that the aim of ICT centered to the develop and
implement an innovative learning and teaching
model that connect culture and ethics group
through while it is enhancing skills and their
creative application to teaching and learning.
