which brought European painting and sculpture
historically forward toward 20th century Modern
art.
• Cubism in its various forms inspired related
movements in literature and architecture.
• Cubism has been considered to be among the
most influential art movements of the 20th

Pablo Picasso completed in June 1937, at his home on Rue des
Grands Augustins, in Paris. The dimension is 3.49 m x 7.77 m. It
was created on April 26 1937 and finished on June 1937.
A major 20th-century French
painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker
and sculptor. His most important contributions to
the history of art were in his alliance
with Fauvism from 1906, and the role he played in
the development of Cubism. Braque’s work
between 1908 and 1912 is closely associated with
that of his colleague Pablo Picasso.
