    • END POINT: At Km 138.360 of the existing road near Phulewadi (at the start point
    of Kolhapur Municipal limit)

    • CONNECTIVITY Connects Mumbai-Goa (NH-66) and Pune-Bangalore (NH-4)

    • EXISTING LENGTH 83.950 Km

    • EXISTING C/W WIDTH 5.5m to 7.0m

    • EN-ROUTE DISTRICTS Sindhudurg (30.150 Km) & Kolhapur (53.800 Km)

    • NO. OF BUILT-UP Connects 25 Nos. of roadside built-ups

    • MAJOR BUILT-UPS Vaibhavwadi, Gaganbawda, Aslaj, Salwan, Kale, Koparade, Balinge

    • TERRAIN Plain – 5.650 Km, Rolling – 68.900 Km & Steep – 9.400 Km

    • PROPOSED LANE: 2-lane Paved Shoulder (Paved Carriageway 10.0m)

    • PROPOSED PAVEMENT TYPE: Plain Jointed Rigid Pavement (CC)

    • PROPOSED CRUST THICKNESS: PQC-280mm, DLC-150mm, GSB-150mm, Subgrade-500mm

    • MAJOR REALIGNMENTS/ BYPASS: RUB realignment near Kokisare (LC-21, Rly Km 287/9) and
    Major Bridge Realignment over Bhogawati river near Balinge.

    • PROPOSED PACKAGES 3 Packages

    • TOTAL LAND TO BE ACQUIRED 27.50 Hectare

    The project section is proposed to be divided into 3 number of sub sections for
    improvement as given below -

    Package: I – Starting from Talere Junction at Km 53.600 (Design Ch. 0.000) to


    Ch. Km 85.450 (Design Ch. 30.670) before Gaganbawda, design length 30.670
    Km,

    Package: II –from Ch. Km 85.450 (Design Ch. 30.670) to road end near
    Phulewadi at Ch. Km 138.360 (Design Ch. 82.440), design length 51.770 Km,

    Package: III – Construction of RUB near Kokisare on new alignment from Ch.
    Km 64.850 (Design Ch. 10.830) to Ch. Km 67.000 (Design Ch. 12.900) of length
    1.670 Km and construction of major bridge over Bhogawati river near Balinge on
    new alignment from Ch. Km 135.200 (Design Ch. 79.300) to Ch. Km 135.700
    (Design Ch. 79.800), design length 0.530 Km, i.e. total design length 2.200 Km.
