INTRODUCTION
The language laboratory is an audio or audio visual
installation used as an aid in modern language
teaching.

First lab was at the university of Grenoble in 1908 .

Found amongst other places, in schools, universities


and academies.

Student are managed to listen audio via a hard-wired


analogue tape deck based system with ‘sound booths’ in
fixed locations.
COMPONENTS
FURNITURE - There should be a specific and robust furniture,
that is capable of securely hold all the elements that are part of
that laboratory.

COMPUTER- The computer are a very important part in the


language lab.

TECHNOLOGY- There should be a specific technology that


enables the interconnection, interaction and communication
between the different positions that make up the lab.

HEADSET- It helps in communication between the people who


use the lab for the different activities that take place in it can be
carried out successfully .
USE OF LANGUAGE LAB
Creates a learning environment much more
effective then traditional class room.

It offer a number of advantages over traditional


teaching system ,allow several students to talk
and interact at the same time, you can record all
these interventions, send different exercises to
different groups of students, work with media etc.

Encourages the participation and integration of


the student in the different exercises.
BENEFITS AND ADVANTAGES
It promotes high motivation of students since
they work with special equipment for language
learning.

It offers great advantage to both teachers and


students both can access the new information and
communication technology quickly and easily.

It allows a high degree of attention to diversity


and of personalization of the processes of
teaching and learning.
THE RESULT
The final result achieved with language lab
is very positive for learning process of
students.

Learning speed significantly accelerates


because students are more interested in the
study by using latest technology & learn
quickly.
