(it was renamed in late June 2007 as HUL).

Project Shakti
• Enabled Hindustan Lever to access 80,000 of India's 638,000
villages

• Project Shakti has already been extended to about 12 states.

• The model consists of groups of (15‐20) villagers below the


poverty line.

• Women from SHGs become direct‐to‐home distributors in rural


markets.

• Lifebuoy Swasthya Chetna has touched 12 crore people in more than
50676 villages across India since 2002.

• Pure it is available in more than 1500 towns nationally and already


covers over 3 million households across India.

• Exceeded the target of reducing CO2 emissions from
