    Low Cost Carriers
    LEGACY CARRIER
    Legacy Carriers would usually have
    three classes of serviceEconomy,
    business and first class. The ticket price
    includes charges for baggage, meals,
    drinks etc. whether we avail them or
    not. This is not the case for a low cost
    carrier (LCC) or a budget carrier.
    LOW COST CARRIER
    Low cost carriers (LCCs) usually have
    economy class only. The ticket price
    does not include charges for food,
    baggage or other amenities. They
    instead give passengers the choice to
    avail these amenities on need to do so
    basis against charges.

    CABIN SERVICE
    Philippine Airlines currently offers two-
    class services on all aircraft, business
    (called Mabuhay Class) and economy
    (called Fiesta Class).
    MABUHAY CLASS
    Mabuhay Class seats, available on all
    aircraft, offer increased legroom, and
    personal screens.
    Currently, Philippine Airlines is the only
    Philippine carrier to offer business class
    on domestic flights.
    PREMIUM ECONOMY CLASS
    They are similar in design to
    standard/regular economy class seats
    but feature at least 45 inches more
    legroom providing a minimum of 3436
    inches of legroom. On some flights,
    passengers are also treated to
    complementary iPads.

    IN-FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
    Passengers can enjoy in-flight
    entertainment options such as movies,
    TV shows, music, games, and even
    magazines and newspapers.
    Philippine Airlines is the first carrier in
    the Philippines to offer Wi-Fi on board,
    which began on April 1, 2013.
    ECONOLIGHT AND BUDGET ECONOMY

    Econolight was phased out in 2010 but


    in 2013, PAL introduced a budget
    economy fare bucket. Compared to
    Econolight, meals are provided but
    baggage allowance is still restricted.
    Also, tickets are non-refundable and
    mileage accrual is not possible on most
    flights.
    MABUHAY MILES
    Mabuhay Miles is the Philippine
    Airlinesfrequent flyer program. It was
    established in 2002 by merging all
    existing PAL frequent flyer programs
    prior to the Asian financial crisis
    MABUHAY LOUNGE
    The Mabuhay Lounge is the airport
    lounge for Philippines Airlines. Mabuhay
    (Business) Class and Elite Members of
    Mabuhay Miles are eligible to use the
    lounge. The clubs all have open bars
    and food catering.
    2. SKYJET AIRLINES
    SkyJet Airlines is the countrys leisure
    airline. Entered in aviation industry on
    December 2012 launching charter
    flights to serve the growing numbers of
    tourists in Batanes Island. In 2013, it
    also served charter flights to the
    exclusive high-end and first-class resort
    Balesin Island.
