    It stands in a
    park called
    Champ de
    Mars near the
    Seine River.

    REASO N FO R IT
    The reason
    for it, was to
    be shown for
    the World
    Exhibition in
    1889. It was
    to show
    modern
    construction
    technology.

    On January 28, 1887
    the Eiffel Tower started being built.
    It was built by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.
    It took 2 years 2months
    and 5 days to complete.

    It is 984ft tall, made
    of 9,441 tons of
    metal, and has
    12,000 part of its.
    It has 4 base legs
    (80 meters apart
    from each other) and
    50 meters above the
    ground.

    I

    find this building really fascinating


    and how the people who helped built
    it, only took 2 years. Gustave was a
    really talented man and I give him
    credit for designing the Eiffel Tower.
    It is such an amazing design. One day
    I hope to travel France. Visit Paris,
    and say that Iive been to the Eiffel
    Tower and have experienced the
    view. There is so much more history
    that I would love to learn about.
    Especially the place that it is at.
