MISSION of 8th AIR RESERVE CENTER:


TO ADMINISTER, DEVELOP AND TRAIN PAF RESERVIST IN
ITS RESPECTIVE AOR.

NSTP OBJECTIVES:
PROMOTE CIVIC CONSCIOUSNESS AMONG THE YOUTH;
DEVELOP THE YOUTHS PHYSICAL, MORAL, SPIRITUAL,
INTELLECTUAL AND SOCIAL WELL-BEING;
INCULCATE IN THE YOUTH THE IDEALS OF PATRIOTISM AND
ADVANCE THEIR INVOLVEMENTIN PUBLIC AND CIVIC AFFAIRS;
AND
MOTIVATE, TRAIN, ORGANIZE AND INVOLVE THE YOUTH IN
MILITARY, LITERACY, CIVIC WELFARE PROGRAMS AND OTHER
RELATED ENDEAVORS IN THE SERVICE OF THE NATION.

SEC. 2. THE REGULAR FORCE - IT IS THE POLICY OF THE
STATE TO MAINTAIN A STANDING OR REGULAR MILITARY
FORCE IN TIMES OF PEACE CONSONANT TO ITS
ADEQUATE AND ACTUAL NEEDS FOR THE SECURITY OF
THE STATE BUT WHICH CAN BE RAPIDLY EXPANDED BY
THE WELL-DISCIPLINED CITIZEN ARMED FORCE IN THE
EVENT OF WAR, INVASION, REBELLION, DISASTER or
CALAMITIES.
SEC. 4. THE CALL TO PERSONAL MIL CIVIL SERVICE THE
CITIZEN ARMED FORCE SHALL BE ORGANIZED,
TRAINED, DEVELOPED AND MAINTAINED AS TO ENSURE
THEIR READINESS TO IMMEDIATELY RESPOND TO THE
CALL TO SERVICE.

Reserve Officers Training Corps
Is a program institutionalized under Sec.38 & 39 of RA 7077 designed
to provide military Training to tertiary level students in order to motivate, train,
organize and mobilize them for national preparedness.
The ROTC shall instill patriotism, moral virtues, respect for rights of
civilian, and adherence to the constitutional, among others.
Graduates of the ROTC shall form part of the Citizens Armed Force,
pursuant to RA 7077, subject to the requirements of DND.

SECTION 2. DECLARATION OF POLICY
a. AFFIRMED THE PRIME DUTY OF THE GOVERNMENT
TO SERVE AND PROTECT ITS CITIZENS.
b. RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL CITIZENS TO DEFEND THE
SECURITY OF THE STATE.
c. GOVERNMENT MAY REQUIRE EACH CITIZEN TO
RENDER PERSONAL, MILITARY OR CIVIL SERVICE.

Basic ROTC AS-1/NSTP 1


COQC graduate;
- Promotion to the next rank as Cadet 3 rd Class/1st Lieutenant (1LT).
- Qualified to undergo Summer Cadre Training (SCT).

Summer Cadre (AS-3) Graduate


- Mandatory requirement for Advance ROTC Course

- Reservist Officer (2LT, PAF)
- Or opted to join the Regular Force, AFP -

Mandatory requirement for promotion on the next higher
rank as Cdt Major.

Chance for Scholarship grant:


1)

Chief of Staff, AFP Scholarship (Php 50,000.00) every sem.

Academics grade w/ a general average of 95% and up.


2)

CG, PAF and ARCOM Scholarship (Php 3, 000.00) Criteria:

Academics grade w/ a general average of 90% to 94%.

AFRC SCHOLARSHIP
Academics grade w/ a general average of 85% to 89%.

3rd year students who completed the 2nd Class and is qualified for
1st Class Advance Cadet Officer and enrolled for 1st Sem of his/her
Academics.
Scholarship Grant privilege
Mandatory requirement for promotion to the next higher
rank/grade as 1st Class Cadet Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel.

RULES & REGULATIONS


Class A Offense
Punishable by discharge with a grade of FA
Gross disrespect to superior officers, abuse

of authority, illegal collection, and destruction


of military or school property.
Includes manhandling, cheating, ignoring
standing instructions, deliberate mutilation
of property including vandalism, and other
offenses as the commandant may direct.

Class B Offense
6 to 10 demerits grave misdemeanors
Talking to a superior officer in a begrudging or

hostile manner, disobeys legal orders,


deliberately says things known to be false,
making boisterous calls or remarks while in
rank, sleeping during classroom instruction,
reports late, or any act similar in nature.

Class C Offense
4 to 5 demerits less grave misdemeanors
Slouching in rank, spitting in rank, rolling

eyeballs at parade rest (Tikas Pahinga) or


does any act detrimental to discipline while in
rank, chewing gum, carelessly lays aside
his/her rifle, wears a dirty uniform, or any act
similar in nature.

Class D Offense
1 to 3 demerits minor misdemeanors and

omissions
Any
cadet
without
ID
or
insignias
corresponding to his/her rank, shoes wrongly
tied, unshined brass articles, unkempt or long
hair, mustache/beard, dirty face, malingering,
leaving without permission, standing on one
leg, sitting while in ranks, and any acts similar
in nature.

Class Card
Class card will serve as a cadets

record material. Personal information,


attendance throughout the duration of
instruction and merits and demerits
can be seen in the class card.
For every formation, cadets will sign
on the specified space on their class
card, which will be kept by the Training
Staff of the DAST.

Tardiness
Reporting

time and attendance


checking will be at 0730H.
According to the university student
handbook, students will be marked
LATE if they arrive 5-15 minutes
after the reporting time.
After 15 minutes, students who
arrive will be marked ABSENT.
3 consecutive tardiness
equals 1
absent.

Attendance
According

to

the university student


handbook,
a 3-unit subject that meets
once a week has only
4 allowable
absences.
Therefore, if a cadet already incurred 4
absences, EXCUSED (with excuse
letter) OR UNEXCUSED, he/she will be
given a mark of FA (Failure due to
Absences). That is non-negotiable.

Properly folded white handkerchief
Accessories/jewelry is not allowed during ROTC

instruction.
30 merit minus system/per day every demerit will
be deducted to your merit. Cadet who will incurred
30 or more demerits or 0 merit will be subject for
board deliberation.

OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO


REMEMBER
Know and familiarize the Commandant and Staff.
Be familiar with the Corps of Cadet and follow the chain

of command.
Render salute when reporting to the
Commandant/MTIs/Cadet Officer.
Follow the instructions when entering the ROTC Office.
In case of doubts, queries or other matters, do not
hesitate to approach your Cadet Officers or to the
Military Training Instructors. DO NOT ASK YOUR
QUERIES TO ANYBODY OR TO UNAUTHORIZED
PERSONNEL! IT MAY GIVE YOU A FALSE OR
WRONG INFORMATION!
