    The Counseling and Advising


    Center (CAAC):
    The main objective of the CAAC is to provide KFUPM
    students with social counseling as well as academic
    advising. The CAAC has many objectives, among which
    are the following:
    1. Assisting the students to achieve psychological,
    social and academic adjustment.
    2. Help the students throughout their university life.
    3. Preparing new students for university life.

    The Counseling and Advising


    Center (CAAC):
    Counseling is a collaborative process, which involves the
    development of a unique, confidential, helping relationship. The
    main services provided by CAAC include counseling in one of the
    following forms:
    1. Individual Counseling: A student meets with a counselor on
    a onetoone basis to work through personal concerns.
    2. Group Counseling: Counseling in groups offers a broad
    range of insight and support from peers and professional
    counselors.
    3. Student/Guardian Counseling: Couples counseling works
    toward alleviating the strains in a close relationship. In such
    cases, one of the relatives, usually the father or a brother, are
    contacted and asked to visit the center.

    Student Activities
    Provide an appropriate educational environment to the
    students during the course of study and to develop
    their personality by involving them in numerous Cocurricular activities.
    For this purpose, there are a large number of student
    clubs that give the student a chance to participate in
    scientific, cultural, social, art or sports activities.

    The Student Fund performs various tasks including:

    StudentHousing Department
    The department responsible for providing services and
    complete facilities for university students on the
    university Campus. KFUPM aims to provide
    accommodation environment that motivates and
    helps students concentrating on their studies and
    social communication.
    Fully furnished rooms with all the required services. In
    addition to the on-campus transportation services,
    maintenance and hygiene services are closely
    monitored. Also, the university provides recreation
    facilities distributed on the campus, in addition to the
    general services (food supplies, student services,
    restaurants, cafes)

    Affairs Student Services
    Responsible for taking care of all students since the
    day they join the university until the day of graduation.
    The General Directorate of Student Affairs plays a vital
    and continuous role to facilitate the tasks of students
    in the university.

    Issuance of necessary cards and papers.
    Issuance of student certification letters, final clearance
    letters, exit re-entry visa, air tickets,
    Monthly stipend, honors students allowance (UG).
    Issuance of official and medical excuses.
    Answering student inquiries and referring them to
    appropriate department.

    This office is concerned with everything related
    to training university students and their employment
    before graduation or even after they graduate.

    certificates, and introduction letters,
    Updating the addresses and contacts of the alumni
    and maintaining a computerized database for their
    information.

    Responsible for facilitating job search, and the
    relationship with students after graduation
    Organizing job fairs
    Providing alumni information to employers for the
    purpose of recruitment

    Scholarship/Sponsorship unit
    Coordinates with different divisions of the university.
    Provides all the benefits to the International Students
    as per the Scholarship rules and regulations.
    Provides the necessary help and support to the
    International Students with Scholarship as per the rules
    and regulations.

    announce scholarship opportunities to all university
    students.

    Part Time unit


    . It coordinates the part-time job assignment inside the
    university through which it addresses students needs as
    well as the needs of the various University departments.
    . The nomination and assignment of students to work
    are done through a well prepared on-line system.
