Topic : Read Me A Story Learning Standard : 2.3.1 Able to read for information and enjoyment with guidance: (a) fiction Objectives: 1. Pupils can answer 5 comprehension questions correctly. 2. Pupils can answer five true false questions correctly.
Activities: Pre: 1.teacher shows set of pictures involving characters in a story. 2. Teacher gives a picture of different animals and ask the pupils verbally to identify the animals and then later on to label them accordingly. While: 1. Teacher gives pupils a set of story puzzles for them to form a passage. 2. When they are done, teachers ask them to read silently and after that to read it aloud with guidance. 3. Teacher asks questions about the story. Pupils need to tell the answer can be found from which paragraph and line. 4. teacher gives pupils reading worksheet involving true false questions. 5. pupils attempt comprehension questions about the story read earlier. Post: 1. Teacher gives pupils a worksheet with matching activity involving pictures and words about the story. EMK: 1. Multiple intelligence.
The White Radish A sheep and a goat lived on a farm. They liked planting vegetables. They planted white radishes on their farm. One morning, the sheep tried to pull out the white radish. It could not do it. Both the sheep and the goat tugged and pulled it. They still could not pulled it out. Along came a horse. The three animals tugged at the white radish. They still could not pull it out. Just then, a rabbit came by. The White Radish Theme : World of stories Topic : Read Me A Story Learning Standard : 3.3.2 Able to write with guidance: (a) Simple sentences Objectives: 1. Pupils should be able to join 5 phrases to form 5 simple sentences. 2. Pupils should be able to write 5 simple sentences about a picture given.
Activities: Pre: 1. Teacher shows pupils a picture with numbers. 2. Pupils tell the class once asked about the picture with numbers given earlier. While: 1. Pupils are divided into a group of five. 2. Teacher explains the rule of the game. 3. Teacher paste sentences cut around the class and ask a representative from each group to take the sentence parts and bring it back to their group to form a simple sentences. 4. Once completed, they need to paste the sentences on the blackboard. Groups with the most complete sentences will be the winner. 5. Once the winner is announced, pupils need to copy the completed sentences in their exercise book. Post: 1. Pupils are given exercises involving rebus writing.
