    What is OCS NG
    The Open Computers and Software Inventory Next Generation is a tool for "discovery" of hardware and software on a network. It is an open source project based on tools of great acceptance by the market: Apache, MySQL, PHP and PERL. It has an architecture that allows great performance. It is capable of scanning 1,000,000 of computers a day using a server bi-Xeon 3 GHz with 4 GB RAM.     How does the integration work


    After importing the configuration item, it may be used in Work Orders and displayed in management Reports.

    The accumulated data by the OCS are imported periodically for a Supravizio routine.

    Processes for Configuration Management

    During the import of hardware and software of the OCS database Supravizio identifies events (new hardware, remove the memory, etc.) and notifies the process engine. The process analyst can then model a workflow for configuration management and handle these events.

    In the work order screen there is a button that makes the online query of the OCS Inventory. All data collected for the station are presented in this report including existing software installations.

    The Pivot Table structure allows the user to build his queries by dragging and dropping columns. The query is performed on the OCS database.
