ocated in the heart of Costa Mesa, Orange Coast College plays an active and enduring role in Orange Countys science literacy efforts. In fact, throughout
its 60-year history, Orange Coast College has remained a community leader in science education. Known widely as Orange Countys community college of choice, OCC has transferred more than 100,000 of the regions best and brightest to the University of California and California State University systems, as well as to private colleges and universities of distinction across the nation. OCC students are among the doctors, scientists, health care professionals, teachers, and engineers that make California a world leader. And thanks to the vision of local voters who passed the Measure C property tax initiative in 2002, nearly all of OCCs science laboratories and classrooms have been upgraded. The Planetarium is being seeded with $1 million in Measure C funds to prepare the architectural plans for the buildings. The members of the Orange Coast College Foundation Board of Directors have given generously to initiate a private fundraising campaign, and now we are seeking support from the Orange County community. Help students launch their dreams and explore new worlds of opportunities in science, technology, mathematics, and technology. Lets give them, and the residents of Orange County and beyond, space to discover.
