24-hour support
When you enrol you will be given a 24-hour emergency telephone number. This ensures that you can always get assistance from a member of staff in an emergency. Be sure to bring it with you when you arrive in London.
We can give students general advice about applying for a visa. For more detailed information speak to your travel agency or contact the British Embassy in your country. If you are an EU citizen you do not need a visa to study in the UK. Non EU students may apply for two different kinds of visas. A Student Visitor Visa and a General Student Visa (Tier 4).
Airport Transfer:
For personalised service, book an airport transfer that will take you, and your luggage, from the airport to your accommodation. Drivers will wait for 2 hours after the arrival of your flight. If you cannot see the driver, go to the Information Desk in the airport. Drivers will carry a sign with your name on it. If you cannot see them, go to the Information Desk in the airport. Do not go with a driver from another company. Some unlicensed companies charge large amounts of money to newly arrived foreigners at airports.

A job in the UK
Most of our students work at some point while studying in the UK. If you are in the UK for six months and have a student visa permitting work, you can take a part-time job for ten hours a week and full time during school holidays. You cannot work with a visitor visa or a student visitor visa. There are many jobs in London for overseas students in shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels and other areas. The minimum wage in the UK is 5.80 per hour if you are over 22. You may be able to earn about 50 a week. You should regard this as pocket money and not as a means of support in the UK.

Malvern House found me a host family and it was just amazing. The house was in a very quiet and safe area. My host family helped a lot with my adaptation and also with my English. Now Im sharing a house with 4 people from different countries and its being a great experience to learn about their countries. We have become a multinational family in the house and Im enjoying each second of this experience. Karine Porto Brazilian
TIP: Most students who study for more than a month find
that they can save money by sharing a private flat with friends. There are always places available in London, you can easily find them on the school notice boards.
