1. Applications are invited from male candidates for recruitment as Havildar Education in Group X and Y in the Army Educational Corps of Indian Army. Educational Qualification:- (a) Group X B.A, B.Ed / B.Sc, B.Ed / BCA/BSc(IT), B.Ed/ M.A / M.Sc / MCA from any recognized university. MODE OF RECRUITMENT: 6. Screening Screening of candidates will be carried out as per programme issued by Recruiting Offices. 7. Physical Fitness Test Physical fitness test will be as follows :- (a) 1 mile run in maximum 6.20 minutes. (b) Pull ups (Beam) - minimum 6 pull ups. (c) Zig Zag balance - must pass. (d) 9 Feet ditch - must pass. 8. Medical Standards: A candidate should have robust physique and mental health, chest should be well developed with minimum 5 cm expansion, should have normal hearing in each ear. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gums and teeth, i.e 14 dental points. Should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins or piles. Should be in medical category SHAPE-1 in terms of Special Army Order 6/S/2005/Rtg dt 05 Aug 2005 as amended from time to time. 9. Written Examination: Only those candidates selected in the screening and declared medically fit will be permitted to appear in the written examination which will be conducted at HQ Recruiting Zone/ IRO Delhi Cantt on 29 Jul 2012 . The written examination will consist of one composite paper of 3 hours duration, composed of the following parts :- (a) Part I (Compulsory for all candidates) It will consist of Section A and Section B. Section A will have questions on General English of 10+2 level. Section B will have questions on General Knowledge of appropriate standard. (Max Marks for each section is 25, Pass Marks for each section is 10). (b) Part II (Science of B.Sc Standard) Compulsory for M.Sc/B.Sc/MCA/BCA candidates. This part is further sub-divided into five sections covering Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from any two sections. The candidate must pass in each section separately (Max Marks for each section is 25, pass Marks for each section is 10) (c) Part III (Humanities of B.A Standard) Compulsory for M.A/B.A candidates. This part is further sub-divided into four sections covering History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. Candidates will be required to attempt questions from any two sections. The candidate must pass in each section separately (Max Marks for each section is 25, pass marks for each section is 10) (d) MA/ BA candidates with Mathematics may attempt questions from Mathematics section of Part II and atleast one more section of Part III. (e) MCA candidates with Arts Subjects at graduation level may attempt questions from Computer Science Section of part II and atleast one more section of Part III. (f) Answers may be given in English or Hindi only. 10. Teaching Aptitude Test/Interview The candidates declared successful in the above written examination and placed in the merit list will appear for Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview to be conducted at AEC Training College & Centre Pachmarhi (MP). Candidates qualifying in the Written Test, Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview and placed in the merit list will be enrolled in the Army Educational Corps. 11. Conveyance The candidates will be issued with free railway warrants for their journey from recruiting offices (where they took the written examination) to Pipariya (MP) and road journey warrant from Pipariya to Pachmarhi. The candidates not found suitable for recruitment will be issued with a return journey warranssssst to their home station or recruiting office whichever is nearer, by the Commandant AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). 12. Messing & Accommodation The candidates will be provided with free messing and accommodation during their stay at Pachmarhi for the Teaching Aptitude Test and Interview. 13. Travelling Allowance / Daily Allowance. No travelling allowance / daily allowance will be given. 14. Training Selected candidates will undergo Military and Technical Training for approximately one year at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). 15. Pay & Allowances (a) Group X On completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (Rs 520020200) as per 6th Pay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (Rs 2800) + Military Service Pay (Rs 2000) + Group X Pay (Rs 1400) per month. (b) Group Y On completion of successful training you will be placed in the Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) as per the 6thPay Commission. You will also be entitled to Grade Pay (Rs 2800) + Military Service Pay (2000) per month. 16. In addition to the above, liberal pension, promotion prospects, Group Insurance, Army Welfare Housing Scheme, 60 days Annual leave and 30 days Casual Leave, free medical treatment for self, family and dependants, entitled ration and other allowances as admissible to the regular Army. 17. SELECTION CRITERIA: Selection of recruits is based on the order of merit on their performance in Musical Screening Test, Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and fitness in the Medical Examinations. 9. Screening Test - Eligible short listed candidates will be sent call-up letters, giving date, time and place for preliminary screening to select suitable candidates based on their musical aptitude, potential and aural ability. The screening is likely to be held from 02 July to 06 July 2012. Those who qualify the preliminary screening will be required to undergo a medical examination. Medically fit candidates will proceed to INS Kunjali, Colaba, Mumbai for final screening and selection on All India Basis scheduled from 10 to 13 September 2012. Candidates selected during final screening at INS Kunjali will undergo Final Enrolment Medicals at INHS Asvini. After final selection, selected candidates will be enrolled and sent to INS Chilka (Orissa) for initial training. 10. Physical Fitness Test (PFT) - Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test is mandatory for selection. PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk. 11. Medical Standards: Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry. (h) Merit List Merit lists in respect of each category will be drawn on the basis of combined marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and Interview. However, merit list for the post of CT/AT will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination. The candidates shall be short listed for detailed Medical Examination (DME) as per the category-wise vacancies on the basis of this merit. (j) Detailed Medical Examination (DME): Candidates selected in order of merit will be put through medical examination to assess their fitness as per the standards fixed for recruitment to the respective post. (k) Appeal against rejection in detailed medical examination: i) A candidate declared unfit in detailed medical examination, if not satisfied with the findings of the Medical Officer, can submit an appeal for his re-medical examination with duly filled Medical Fitness Certificate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure VI.) as a piece of evidence about possibility of error of judgment in the decision of the Medical Officer at the time of Recruitment. ii) The appeal for remedical examination will not be taken into consideration unless it contains duly filled medical fitness certificate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure VI.), a note by the medical practitioner concerned to the effect that it has been given in full knowledge of the fact that the candidate has already been rejected as unfit for appointment by a Medical Officer; iii) The appeal for re-medical examination will not be taken into consideration unless the original Rejection Slip issued by the Presiding Officer is enclosed and re-Examination Fee of Rs. 25/- is also enclosed in form of Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft in the name of Commandant, Base Hospital, ITB Police, New Delhi. (iv) The appeal should be submitted within 15 days from the date of rejection to the concerned authority at the address given in rejection slip. The appeals received after 15 days will not be entertained. ITBP will not be responsible delay in postal transit. (v) The decision of the Re-medical Board of ITBP shall be final and no 2nd appeal will be entertained as per Govt. instructions and also no reply of the correspondence/2nd appeal will be given/entertained. 12. As a gateway to the ever growing demand for qualified candidates for employment in the 19 Public Sector Banks, on whose behalf CWE is conducted by IBPS, here is the next opportunity for aspiring candidates. The 2nd Common Written Examination (CWE-PO/ MT-II) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts in the Public Sector Banks mentioned below. This system of Common Written Examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees has been approved by the Government of India, has the consent of the Boards of each of the participating Banks and the Managing Committee of the Indian Banks Association (IBA). IBPS, an autonomous body, has been authorised by IBA and has received a mandate from the 19 Public Sector Banks listed below to conduct the Common Written Examination. The CWE for Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee posts will be conducted twice a year by IBPS. A PARTICIPATING BANKS

The scores awarded to qualified candidates are also likely to be used by a few other Banks and Financial Institutions like IDBI, ECGC etc. for selection for entry level Officers posts. Candidates will however have to satisfy the eligibility criteria for these organizations as individually stipulated by them. As per the procedure for recruitment, all individuals who aspire to join any of the above Public Sector Banks as Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees will necessarily be required to take the CWE. Prospective candidates who wish to appear for the CWE will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement regarding eligibility criteria, online registration process, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters and score cards. Candidates who appear for the CWE will be able to check their qualifying status after the examination. Scorecards will be issued only to those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks and above in each test of the examination. Each participating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their vacancies and stipulating their respective eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each component test plus Total Weighted Standard Score (if any) etc. Successful candidates in the CWE who have been issued scorecards and who meet the stipulated eligibility criteria will then be required to apply to any of the participating banks they wish to, quoting their personal details and their CWE scores. Each bank will then individually shortlist candidates and carry out their own selection processes such as Group Discussions and/ or Interviews etc. for final selection. B. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (as on 01.01.2012) Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS before applying for the Common Written Examination (CWE): Please note that the eligibility criteria specified herein are the basic criteria for applying to various Public Sector Banks. However merely applying for CWE/ appearing for and qualifying in the examination does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be eligible for employment in all or any of the 19 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria. I. Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be a Citizen of India. II Age (As on 01.01.2012): Minimum: 20 Years Maximum: 30 Years The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates. Relaxation of Upper age limit: Category: 1. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Age relaxation: 5 years. 2. Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) - 3 years. 3. Persons With Disabilities - 10 years. 4. Ex-Servicemen, Commissioned Officers including Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs)/ Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the last date of receipt of application) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or physical disability attributable to military service or invalidment - 5 years. 6. Clerical Employees of Participating PSBs (relaxation is as applicable only to employees of those Banks where relaxation is available and to the extent of the respective Banks policy) - 6 years. Note: (i) In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories the age relaxation will be available on a cumulative basis with any one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above. (ii) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to submit copies of necessary certificate(s) at the time of Interview conducted by a particular Bank, if called by the Bank. (iii) Ex-Servicemen candidates who have already secured employment under the Central Government in Group C & D will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-Servicemen for securing another employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group C/ D under the Central Government. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Central Government jobs. (iv) An Ex-Servicemen who has once joined a Government job on civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-Servicemen for his reemployment, his Ex-Servicemen status for the purpose of the reemployment in Government ceases. DEFINITION OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: Under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995 only such persons would be eligible for reservation who suffer from not less than 40% of relevant disability and are certified by a Medical Board appointed by the Central/State Govt. Accordingly, candidates with the following disabilities are eligible to apply. Applicants claiming such benefits should produce certificate in original in support of their claim at the time of Interview conducted by a particular Bank, if called by the Bank. Visually Impaired (VI) - Blindness refers to condition where a person suffers from any of the following conditions namely (1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better eye with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the field of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or worse. Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard refractive connection but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning of execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Deaf & Hearing Impaired (HI): The deaf are those persons in whom the sense of hearing is non- functional for ordinary purposes of life i.e. total loss of hearing in both ears. They do not hear, understand sounds at all even with amplified speech. Hearing impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Orthopaedically Challenged (OC): Locomotor Disability means disability of bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions of person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged Persons would be covered under the category of Locomotor disability or cerebral palsy. Guidelines for Persons With Disabilities using a Scribe: The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply: The candidate will have to arrange his own scribe at his/her own cost. The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulated criteria. The scribe may be from any academic stream. Both the candidates as well as scribes will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further incase it later transpires that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written examination. Such candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. C. EDUCATIONAL

The above tests except the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition will be printed bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi. The Descriptive Papers of only those candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective tests will be evaluated. Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in an Information Handout, on IBPS website which will be made available for the candidates to download along with the call letter. E. PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS: There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Test. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If for any question a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as wrong even if one of the given answers happens to be right and there will be the same penalty of 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question deducted as penalty. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question. F. STANDARDIZED SCORES: The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates will further be converted into standardized scores following Linear Conversion Method. If the total for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer, i.e. if fraction exceeds by 0.50 or more, it will be rounded off to next higher integer. G. CUTOFF SCORE: Each candidate will have to secure a minimum standardized score in each of the tests to qualify in the written examination and to be considered for vacancies in the participating banks. The cut-off points will be decided based on the average (Average Standard Deviation for General category candidates and Average Standard Deviation for Reserved Category candidates). H. CWE SCORE CARD: IBPS will print the Score Cards for each of the qualifying candidates and will send the same by Registered/ Speed post to each candidate at the correspondence address specified in his/ her online application. I. VALIDITY OF CWE SCORE CARD: The scores awarded to candidates, who qualify in CWE-PO/MT-II, will be valid for one year from the date of issuance of the scorecard and will be considered for recruitment exercises during that period. Candidates who have been declared as qualified in the previous CWE (I) are also permitted to apply, if they wish to improve their scores and/or keep the scores valid for a further period of 1 year from the date of issuance of scorecards of this CWE (CWE-PO/MT-II). J. EXAMINATION CENTERS: (i) The written examination will be conducted in venues across many centres in India. The list of Written Examination centres is available in Annexure I. (ii) IBPS, however, reserves the right to delete any of the Examination Centres and/ or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. (iii) As far as possible candidates will be allotted to a centre of his/her choice however IBPS also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any of the Centre other than the one he/she has opted for. (iv) Candidate will appear in the written examination from a Examination Centre at his/her own risks and expenses and IBPS will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature. (v) No request for change of centre for Written Examination shall be entertained. K. (ii) Keep the necessary details/documents ready if desired to make online payment of the requisite application fee/ intimation charges (In case of Offline Payment i.e. CBS candidates have to apply online, obtain a fee payment challan and then remit the necessary application fees/ intimation charges). (iii) have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results of this round of CWE. IBPS may send call letters Written Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. Person with low vision: means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment of standard refractive correction, but who uses or is potentially capable of using vision for the planning or execution of a task with appropriate assistive device. Use of Scribe: The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use their own scribe at their cost during the written examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used the following rules will apply: i) The candidate will have to arrange his/her own scribe at his/her own cost ii) The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulated eligibility criteria. iii) The scribe can be from any academic discipline.
