Simple and Compound Sentences Writing Reading Students will be able to develop ability to construct simple and compound sentences with guidance and independently. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: 1) Writes 5 simple sentences on the board 2) Construct 3 simple sentences and combine to form compound sentences. 3) Write 5 compound sentences based on the pictures given. Students have been introduced to compound sentences during previous lesson. worksheet, LCD projector, whiteboard, pictures, mahjong paper Kind and cooperative.

Students are asked to get into pair. Teacher gives each pair a worksheet and pictures. Each pair has to write 5 compound sentences based on the pictures given. Then, the students need present their answers in front of the class. Each pair has to play their parts and teacher will give some rewards for the best answers. Each pair needs to discuss among them and they have to do the task on mah-jong paper. Teacher then gives feedback at the end of the session.

To ensure students are able to use the language item they learnt in the presentatio n stage.
