III . Extracurricular activities


1. Worked as a visiting Lecturer for the subjects like General studies, Science and Technology and Life science during the year 2008-09 and 2009-10 at Govt. Pre IAS Coaching centre, Aurangabad. 2. Worked as a programme officer in N.S.S.for 3 years from 2006 to 2009 at Govt. Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati. 3. Pioneer in organizing 100 marks objective type Intercollegiate competition BIOGENIUS for UG and PG students at Govt. Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanites, Amravati. Since 2006 this competition is designed to give exposure to our students for competitive exams like SET,NET and UPSC Prelims.(Recently three BIOGENIUS competition winners have passed NET) 4. Organized trekking camps at Melghat and participated in Environment awareness campaign during Ganpati festival as a Joint Secretary of Wild life and Nature conservation Society, Amravati.

Setting up a Digital Library in the Zoology Department based on New curriculum. Setting up Pharmaceutical evaluation Laboratory by animal experimentation for efficacy study of indigenous medicinal plants.

Adopting a Village from nearby Panchayat for biodiversity education and awareness. Arranging workshops on recent trends in economic Zoology for public and students.
