DIGITAL WORKSPACE: A NEW DIMENSION IN HUMAN KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Executive Summary Over the last twenty years, the Internet has gone from being the shiniest, newest tool in the toolbox to being the toolbox, the tool shed, the store, the shop, the hangar. We have seen an incredible amount of change in the way we request, retrieve and process information; and a tremendous reduction in the amount of time in which we expect to see these things achieved. Yet as the sheer volume of information available has increased exponentially, and as people invite electronic information into their lives in increasingly varied ways, our interface with this data has struggled to keep pace. Trends in usage of mobile devices suggest that consumers have a near-limitless appetite for portable platforms, and are ever eager for the next generation. I propose that several generations, perhaps hundreds be skipped. The time has come to evolve the relationship between our physical reality and the universe of data available to us. Objective Currently, use of online resources is disparate, splintered, and contentious. With the introduction of a whole new component of online usage in handheld devices, this fragmentation has continued to worsen. The amount of information is tremendous, but difficult to wield. In addition, many aspects of everyday life could be aided by online resources of tremendous potential, but also poor execution. Our goal is to take all aspects of the current computing and online experiences and streamline them into one exceedingly friendly,

intuitive and strikingly useful interface. This new system will improve the productivity of businesses, increase the enjoyment of home computing and entertainment, and change the mobile/communications experience completely. We do not aim to change the Internet, but rather to reorganize, simplify and tie together the existing needs of consumers. Mission Our mission is to adeptly make the vast sum of human knowledge available as a natural extension of thought and curiosity; to make use of current technology in a bold new way; to change the Internet from being a place where we go to complete an action to a smoothly integrated extension of many normal activities. Keys to Success To be successful in achieving this transformation of knowledge, we will need to combine the convenience and adaptability of mobile platforms with the power and utility of desktop. Simultaneously, we will need to vastly overhaul the manner in which users experience technology in a more natural way. We will need to introduce new devices and a completely new operating system. Company Summary Ownership Latillum, Inc. is a privately held company invested in real-world change through technological innovation. Michael L******* Senior consultant; usability and products integration. Start-Up Plan Our company is new and we have done tremendous research on Internet trends and innovations in mobile platforms. We desire to take current technologies such as threedimensional imaging, cloud computing, gesture recognition software and 4G mobile bandwidth capabilities to create an entirely integrated new

set of devices and user interface to transition computing into the next century. Research of current points of interest and growth in both the private and business sectors call for a new level of computer-aided productivity and lifestyle assistance. We anticipate that within 10-15 years all computing, communications and mobile interaction will be performed from an integrated platform such as our 3D Workspace. To be the first to achieve this accomplishment and become a byword of innovation and achievement in this new technology is the goal of all our research and development thus far. Locations and Facilities Latillum, Inc. Michael ******* 87 ******* Ave *******, MA ***** Products and Services Our hardware will consist of Glasses, Handheld device, and Home or Cloud processing power. Our software will consist of the 3D Workspace. The Glasses will project a 3D image for the user to interact with, via gesture recognition lenses in the front face. Microphone and audio output will also be integrated into this device. The Handheld device will serve mainly to connect the Glasses to remote processing power, but will also serve much as a smartphone does today at times when it is inconvenient, inappropriate or impossible to use the 3D interface. The remote processing will be performed by units much like a desktop computer, but without the need for a separate user interface. These units could be personal, or allotted via a subscription service. The 3D Workspace is the innovate operating system that will integrate real life actions with the computing experience, while simultaneously reducing task-time and vastly increasing productivity. The gesture recognition technology will allow the user to complete

actions that would previously have taken minutes in mere seconds, increase the amount of data conveniently available, and simplify the process of computing into a more natural and fluid exercise. Competitive Description: We are the only company providing these innovations in computing. Our advantage lies in the fact that we are not trying to sell consumers on new concepts, but merely giving them the evolution of the services they currently know and love. By providing a vast upgrade to and greater connectivity between the familiar faces of mobile and social computing we stand to gain vast competitive advantage. Sales Literature: Our first goal will be to sell large businesses on the simple but vast increase in productivity our improved user interface can provide. With our technology solidly in place, we will be in a better place to give private customers the best price point possible on our products and focus on the vast possibilities of advertising revenue. Conferences: By giving demonstrations at technology conferences we can show the skeptical how helpful our products really are. Television, Print, Online: We can help the consumer envision themselves enjoying their current media through our more portable, versatile and powerful platform. Any and all current electronic entertainment could be consumed more readily through our interface. Technology Our focus is mainly on using currently available technologies and adapting them into a more cohesive platform. Having customers view a small 3D screen is easier when the eyes are separated, and more cost effective.

Gesture recognition software is currently used in gaming platforms to capture body movements to perform actions on a television. By changing the body to the first-person viewable arm, we can use the motions of the individual much like the cursor in a current twodimensional platform. Having a microphone in front of the mouth is irritating, inconvenient, and looks ridiculous. Building a small microphone directly into the frame of the glasses solves this problem easily. In-ear audio is simple and effective, as well as being small. By having the ear-buds connected to the Glasses with short retractable cords we can prevent loss and aid stability. Half of the current cell phone users in the United States already use smartphones. We do not aim to completely replace these devices, but to add capability to them. By using these devices to connect the Glasses to the cloud, we maintain the market in these devices while providing a superior experience.

Strategy and Implementation Computers are the tools that companies use to organize all of their data. Individuals also keep an increasing amount of their lives in electronic form, including an ever expanding digitalized social aspect of themselves. Our products represent the hardware and software that will define the next 30 years of digital evolution. Our interface will increase workforce productivity and the personal computing experience exponentially. We anticipate providing a business version of our products at higher cost but with a more robust GUI and business related software options for the desk-bound employee. In contrast, we would provide devices at lower cost to the public consumer and concentrate on the tremendous potential of advertising revenue generated by individuals with perpetual waking online interaction. The interface for the consumer version of the product would have a

more fluid and freeform appearance, customizable much in the way that mobile devices currently employ with open source applications. Value Proposition Our products consist of modified versions of two hardware devices currently employed by most people; the mobile phone and personal computer. The modifications to these devices will be largely based in software and thus do not pose significant difficulty for research and development. The more significant challenge in terms of hardware development will be the Glasses which present the GUI to the consumer. The research and development to make these Glasses cheaply, solidly, effectively and eventually fashionably will be a significant investment. The most important and cost-intensive part of development will be the software to present this new platform to the consumer in a simple but striking manner. The challenges of adding an entire new dimension to the visual presentation of computing while making the interface smooth and easy to use will be time-consuming and difficult. Competitive Edge It is a simple fact that a product that gives companies an edge on their competition will be heavily invested in. As the first to develop this technology capture this market and ensure that we are ahead of any other companies attempting to develop similar products. Marketing Strategy We are confident that a product of this nature of superlative quality will generate significant interest and demand simply by providing an improved alternative to current systems. Publicly demonstrating the product would be a highly effective manner by which to familiarize the public with a revolutionary new system. Latillum, Inc.

March 11, 2011 Marketing Programs We aim to market to different groups of people with an array of catered marketing strategies: To businesses, in showing them the savings they will incur due to higher productivity To young people for whom the integrated social aspects will have greater appeal To business people who are attracted to a seamless yet compartmentalized combination between work and personal life To consumers of various media and entertainment as a more expedient solution for their viewing and listening pleasure By demonstrating the basic usefulness of our product we can do more than any clever marketing programs can hope to achieve.
