Parksides Most Popular Event Adds an Additional Night!

Kids Night Out has been an increasingly popular event at Anthem Parkside for over 3 years now! The event consistently sells out each month, so for April, we are having TWO Kids Night Out events! The first is on Saturday, April 14th and themed Leaping Ladybugs. If Saturdays are tough for you, try the second one on Friday, April 19th with a Flower Power theme. Each event also features 2 different crafts for appropriate age groups. Kids of all ages 3 - 14 are sure to have a GREAT time! Be sure to register by the day before Kids Night Out! After that, theres an additional $5 added to the event fee. See you there!

Tennis Court Hours & Usage Procedures

The Tennis Courts for all Merrill Ranch residents located at the Parkside Community Center are buzzing with activity. We have a very strong tennis program for all ages and our racket sport enthusiasts are taking advantage of our great weather. With the continued growth of our tennis programs and increased usage of the courts along with unfortunate vandalism of the equipment, the Management Team has reviewed the current procedures for using the courts and has deemed it necessary to update them. Starting April 1, 2012, the courts will be open

Community Center hours. You will no longer need to check out a key as the gates to the courts will be open in the mornings and closed down at night by staff. The lights for the courts will also be scheduled to operate during the center hours. The courts will continue to open on a first-come first-serve basis with a 2 hour limit per group using the court. If there is no one waiting to use the courts, then the 2 hour limit can be extended until another group needs the court. However, courts will continue to be reserved for Association sponsored events and programs. Please work with the front desk staff of Parkside if you have any specific questions about court availability and usage.

Red Cross Water Safety Course (WSI)

April 7 & 14 - 15; 8 am - 6 pm each day $125 paid to center; $50 check to American Red Cross Register by April 6 If youre at least 16 years old and a proficient swimmer, you can become an American Red Cross Water Safety instructor. Learn to teach children and adults to swim and give water safety presentations to kids and their parents. Its a fun and meaningful job thats in high demand. Plus, Red Cross certification is recognized nationwide so you can work anywhere in the US.
