I am excited to extend my warmest greetings to all of you as we gear up for the much-
anticipated Inter-School Fest, "IGNITO 2023"! This event marks an opportunity for us to
showcase the brilliance and dynamism that resides within each of our participating schools.
"IGNITO 2023" is not just a festival; it is a celebration of knowledge, creativity, and
innovation. Our goal is to foster an environment where students can learn, collaborate, and
compete while embracing the diversity of ideas and talents that make each school unique.
This fest is an embodiment of our commitment to holistic education. It's an arena where

NIS, since its inception has always endeavoured to set new milestones in the academic
scenario of the city of Kanpur. NIS has always been far ahead of its times. Our motto “
Compete with Yourself” is now the catchline of 21st century education. Over the years it has
come to be recognised and acknowledged for its unique teaching and learning techniques.
We have always believed in kindling the innate qualities of each and every student
.Contemporary world and the future belongs to those who have the 6C’s - , critical thinking,
collaboration, communication, creativity, citizenship/ culture, and character education
/connectivity. Individuals in possession of such attributes are better disposed to take on the
challenges of the world and emerge successful both in professional and personal life.

I am delighted to welcome you to our Inter-School Fest 'IGNITO 2023'– a time of spirited
competition, creativity, and unity. This event stands as a testament to the power of
collaboration and the pursuit of excellence.
Our school takes immense pride in hosting this fest which brings together young minds from
various institutions. It is not just a showcase of talent, but a celebration of the diverse skills
and passions that drives our students.

About IGNITO
• The teams are requested to reach the school at 8:30 a.m. for registration on October
20,2023.
• A maximum of 14 participants from classes IX to XII are allowed per school.
• All teams are requested to bring their School Banner (4ft*2ft).
• All teams must report in White Uniform for the events where no dress code is
specified. They are not allowed to wear the school tie/belt/badge/monogram.
• All events will be conducted strictly according to the given schedule. The participants
are advised to reach the venue 10 minutes before the event.
• Any Information about the event will be mentioned on the official website.
• Students should refrain from abusive language and obscene displays during the
competitions, failing to comply will lead to disqualification.
• A participant can participate only in one event during the simultaneous timings for
events; a participant is not restricted to participation in any number of events as long as
the event timings do not clash.
• Any use of unfair means during the event will result in immediate disqualification of
the participant.
• The final results of all the Events will be declared on the last day. However, the results
of preliminary Rounds will be declared before the commencement of the next round.
• Other relevant information related to the event will be provided at the help desk.
• There will be some Friendly Events also, which won’t add up any points and are just
for fun, these events will be declared on the spot.
• All schools are requested to confirm their participation by email in the prescribed
format by Septmeber 16,2023 i.e. Saturday.
• Lunch will be provided to the participating teams.

The participants are required to draft a business summary of an innovative business idea.

business, and other relevant information.
The business summary should be between 12 and 20 pages. Any plan that does not
comply with this will be immediately disqualified.
Participants are advised to use graphs and smart art.
Kindly bring the PPT in the pen drive duly labelled and submit it to the host school at the
time of registration.

Guidelines:
All the members of the team will work together.
A pin board measuring 4 ft. by 4 ft. will be allotted to each team.
Participating teams will decorate the board according to the theme.
Participants must bring their paper, glue, pins, stapler, scissors ,colours or paints,
decorations, cutouts, etc.
The design must contain some drawings and paintings, which must be done at the venue
(Sketching).
One participant is to speak and explain the pin board concept and the message it
conveys.
Each team should give a caption to the board.

Guidelines:
It will be a 4-level event, which will be divided into [Prelims, quarter finals, semi finals,
and Final.
Games can be on platforms such as PlayStations, and PCs.
School will provide PCs and PlayStations for the event.
The rules for the particular games will be disclosed on the day of the event.

Guidelines:
Participants must complete 60–70% of their projects before the Event and assemble the
rest during the given time interval.
Students are advised to assemble their project one hour before the competition.
Participants are asked to carry their batteries.

Guidelines:
Each team will be provided with a one-panel board with a white base colour, measuring 2
feet by 3 feet.
All the other items used in the mural must be brought by the students themselves, e.g.,
ceramic, glue, old clothes, scissors, colours, etc.
All the participating teams will make a mural through freehand drawing. Measuring and
drawing tools are not allowed to be used for mural design. Pre-drawn objects are
prohibited.
Guidance by any other person than the officially registered contestant is not allowed.

Guidelines:
Theme: Any historical event between 1857 and 1947
The complete, edited final track is to be mailed by September 20,2023. Participants can
present any Indian or Western dance drama.
Small props are allowed, but messy props like coloured water, fire, etc. will not be
entertained.
Participants must wear appropriate costumes.
Kindly bring the track or music in a pen drive. (Kindly do not bring a CD.) The pen drive
must contain only the performance track.
Kindly check the pen drive and also bring one for backup. A pen drive of the selected track
must be given to the host school at the time of registration.
Kindly note that the use of offensive song’s lyrics is not allowed.PPT is not allowed.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Participants are requested not to
disclose the identity of their school.

Guidelines:
The maximum Dimensions of the robot should not exceed 40x40x40(cm), and the
weight limit is 5 kg. If your robot does not meet the required specifications, they will be
disqualified.
It is recommended that robots should be made heatproof as the event will be held in an
open area directly exposed to sunlight.
Use of fire, chemicals or other hazardous techniques is strictly prohibited.
Both wired and wireless robots are allowed.
The recommended wireless connection of frequency is 2.4Hz-5hz and in the case of
wired robots, the recommended wire length is 5-8 metres.
Competition patterns will be declared on the spot according to the number of teams.
Robots should not be pre-fitted with any kind of arms, cutters, flippers, saws, lifting
tools, spinning hammers etc. Everything will be fitted in the school premises only in
front of the event incharges before the competition.
Proper protection of battery is recommended to prevent any short circuits.
The use of any type of mechanical engine is not allowed.
It is recommended to bring extra batteries or chargers if your robot is qualified for
further rounds.
In case of any damage to the robot, team should bring their own spare parts. School will
not provide any spare parts and
will not be responsible for any
damage caused to the robot.
