1. What’s the most popular place for tourists in Vietnam? I think NT city is the most popular place
for

tourists in Vietnam b/c it attracts thousands of tourists every year.

2. Which holiday do you prefer, a camping holiday or a sightseeing tour? I prefer a camping holiday

because it is fun and enjoyable/bc I can enjoy a wonderful time OUTDOORS.

3. Which holidays have you done in the past? I used to travel go to some beautiful spots places like
Da Nang, da lat,…

4. Where did you go on your last vacation? I went to Quang Nam Province to visit Hoi An Ancient
town. It is a very beautiful and friendly town.

5. How did you get there? I went to Da Lat/there by plane for 2 hours. it was comfortable

6. What did you do there? I visited some beautiful places such as night maket,thung lung vang,
duong
ham dieu khac….. and ate some delicious food like banh trang nuong, nuoc dau nanh nong…

7. Did you enjoy the trip? Yes, I really enjoyed my trip,it bc the food is really tasty and the local
people are so friendly.

8. Which holidays are you going to do in the future? I am going to travel Da Lat city in the future bc I
have

never been there. (my friends highly recommend me this city)

9. What do you usually do before your holiday? Before my holiday, I usually complete my job and
book
tickets for the trip/ book a hotel and pack my clothes.

1. What is an important day or festival in your town or city? When is it? It is + Tết Holiday.it happens

28 December to the Third (3) January according to Lunar Calendar.

2. What do people do on the day? We just stay at home, play cards, eat many Tet food or visit my
relatives

3. Do they eat special food? Yes, We do. We eat many special food like : Banh Chưng, Banh Tet, Jam
(mứt) and so on.

4. Do people wear special clothes or make-up? Actually, We often we new and beautiful clothes,
such as Ao Dai for women

5. What clothes do people often wear when attending a special event or festival? I think
Vietnamese

women often wear Ao Dai and Men wear formal clothes like Suit, Shirt and Trousers.

6. Can you tell me a festival you have been to? I think I have been to the Sea Festival in Nha Trang
City. It was + time ……

7. What did you do in that festival? I joined many activities like Team-building, concerts ….

8. When is your birthday? How do you usually celebrate it? My birthday is on ……..

1. What is your favorite form of entertainment?
My favorite form of entertainment is watching movie, especially CARTOON b/c it has a lot of
fun/ it helps me relax.

2. What kinds of TV programs are most popular in your country?

I think some most popular TV programs are Game shows, weather forcast, news and Sports..

3. What is your favorite kind of TV program or Movie?

My favorite kind of TV program is REALITY SHOW b/c it is funny and makes me relaxed after
school .

4. Do you have a favorite singer or movie star?

Yes, I do. My idol is Taylor b/c she sings so well/ she is so talented/ he acts so well.

5. Do you like spending a lot of time listening to songs on Youtube?

No, I don’t. I often listen to music on Spotify b/c it is more convenient

6. Can you tell me the name of some films that you have watched more than twice?
Some movies that I have watched many times are and b/c they bring me many
different emotions.

7. How often do you go to the cinema or theater?

I go to the cinema twice a month bc watching movies at the cinema is quite expensive for a
student like me.

8. Are you a fan of sports? NOT REALLY. But I love watching sports on TV,
football,tennis,volleyball….

9. Do you play video games? If so, what games have you played?

No, I don’t. bc it is harmful TO my eyes and my health if I play games for a long time.

Yes, I do. If I have a chance, I would like to try MOUNTAIN BIKING B/C I LOVE RIDING A BIKE ,

1. What is your major at NTU? At NTU, my major is ecnomic development I am a second-
year student.

2. Which course is the most interesting for you? The most interesting course is Maths ….b/c
it is useful for my major .

3. Have you ever failed a test? Yes, I have failed English test A2.1. Then, I have to enrol this
course again.
4. Have you ever learnt a musical instrument?

No I haven’t. but if I have a chance, I would like to learn piano ….

4. How old were you when you started learning English?

I started learning English when I was in grade 3. ( I just learned colors and numbers)

5. Is it important to learn different languages when you were a child?

Yes, It is. Because when I was a child, it is easier to learn a foreign language, such as
English.

6. What do you find difficult about learning English?

I think Listening is so difficult because I find it hard to express my ideas in English

because I can not hear the sounds or words. Then I do not understand what they are
saying.

7. When you hear or see a new word in English, how do you memorize it?
Let me see, I often take notes these words into my phone or notebook, then, I make
sentences with them

8. What is your advice for someone who wants to learn a new language?
I think I will advise someone to practise listening and speaking more and more.

9. What was your favourite subject in school? Why?

My favorite subject is math because it is interesting it helps me much in my major.

10. What was your most difficult subject?

I think the most difficult subject is English because I have failed it once/twice

11. Did you ever have a favourite teacher? Yes, I have. My favorite teacher …. b/c she/he is
so friendly and humorous.

13. What is your favourite way to practice speaking English?
For me, I ask my friends to practise speaking with me; you know, one asks and other
answers (usually, 1-2 hours a week)

Topic 3: Appearance
1. What kinds of clothes do you like to wear? I like to wear black and white T-shirt and
jeans.

2. What kinds of shoes do you like to wear? I am keen on wearing sandals. But, when I go to
school, I like wearing Slippers.

3. What are you wearing today?

I am wearing a white and blue T-shirt, with black skirt. I am also wearing sandals .

4. What clothes do you only wear in the summer?

In the summer, I only wear T-shirt and shorts b/c they make me feel cool.

5. What clothes do you only wear in the winter?

In winter, I only wear hoodie, T-shirt and jeans b/c they keep me warm. ( trousers =
pants: quần dài)

6. When do men wear a suit?

Men usually wear a suit in some occasions like wedding, important meetings and so on.

7. When do women wear a dress?

Women usually wear a dress in some occasions like wedding, parties, going to coffee
shops and so on …

8. What jobs have uniforms?

I think some jobs having uniforms are police, nurse, doctor and restaurant staff
( waitress).

9. Do you normally wear a uniform?

No, I don’t. I only wear uniform when learning PE ( Physical Education)

10. How tall are you? I am 1.65 meter TALL. ( and I weigh …. Kilos)

11. Are you happy with your appearance?

Yes, I am. But I am doing exercise to gain some weights b/c I think I am bit THIN. // Yes, I
am. But I am doing exercise to LOSE some weights b/c I think I am bit FAT.
