Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

1. MedTech Mitra
 The Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare in India have launched the "MedTech
Mitra" initiative to empower innovators and advance health care solution in the country.
 Objective: - to support and collaborate with technology innovator and startup in the
Medical Technology Sector.
 Goal: - to harness innovation to enhance Healthcare delivery and address Health Care
challenges.
 It will facilitate indigenous development of affordable quality meditate devices and
Diagnostic leading to reduction in import dependency (presently around 80%) in
Medtech.
 Medtech refers to Medical Technology which encompasses a wide range of Technology
innovations, devices, equipment, and Solutions used in the field of Healthcare.
 Example: - MRI machine, pacemaker, insulin pumps, surgical instruments etc.

2. Tele- MANAS
 India's Tele- Manas, a round the clock mental health helpline launched in October on
world Mental Health Day in 2022.
 Objective:- to increased mental health challenges brought about by the covid -
19 pandemic, & providing essential mental health first aid support.
 Ministry:- Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
 Teli Manas offers 24/7 mental health care services in every Indian state, in regional
languages.

3. Ayushman Arogya Mandir


 The Aayushman Bharat -Health and Wellness centres (AB-HWC) in India will now be
known as "Ayushman Arogya Mandir" following a decision by the government.
 New tagline:- Arogyam Paramam Dhanam
 About AB-HWC:
 Introduced in 2018 under the Ayushman Bharat program.
 Currently more than 1.6 lakh centers across India.
 Centre extends their services to non-communicable diseases.
 They also offer free essential drugs and Diagnostic services.

4. Ayushman Bharat PM Jan Arogya Yojana and digital Mission (ABDM)


 About ABPM-JAY
 World's largest health Assurance scheme launched in 2018
 Medical insurance: Rs 5 lakh to over 10 crore marginalized families (identified through
SECC 2011 data)

 About Ayushman Bharat digital mission (ABDM)
 Aim: to develop the digital backbone for Integrated digital health infrastructure
 Central sector scheme for 5 years.
 Launch in 2021 from Varanasi.
 It contains: ABHA health account numbers which contain 14-digit identification
number, ABHA App, health facility registry and unified health interface.
 Implementation: National Health authority

5. Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission


 Aim: Strengthening Health Care infrastructure across the country
 Objective: to fill gaps in public health infrastructure especially in Critical Care facilities
and primary care in both Urban and rural areas.
 Through this critical care services will be available in all the district of the country with
more than 5 lakh population through exclusive Critical Care Hospital blocks.
 Integrated Public Health labs will also be set up in all districts
 And It-enabled disease surveillance system will be established
 All the public health labs will be connected through the integrated health information
portal.

6. NIKSHAY Poshan Yojana


 The NIKSHAY - TB Notification incentive for Private Sector scheme is a Government of
India initiative to incentivize private sector healthcare providers for notifying tuberculosis
(TB) cases to the government.
 All notified TB patients are beneficiaries of the scheme.
 All patients with tuberculosis (TB) who are notified to the government on or after April
1, 2018, including those who are already being treated for TB, are eligible for financial
incentives.
 To be eligible for the incentives, patients must be registered or notified on the NIKSHAY
portal.

7. Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan Yojana (SUMAN)


 SUMAN Yojana is a maternity benefit initiative launched by the Ministry of Union
Health and Family Welfare. This program provides affordable and quality healthcare
solutions to pregnant women and newborns. Under this scheme, pregnant women, sick
newborns, and mothers receive zero expense access up to six months after delivery. They
receive treatment from quality hospitals and professionals. The PMSMA program allows
four antenatal check-ups during the 1st trimester and check-ups under Pradhan Mantri
Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan.

 Objective: This scheme offers zero expenses and access to detection and management of
complications during and after pregnancy.
 Pregnant women can avail a zero-expense delivery and C-section facility at public health
facilities.
 SUMAN scheme ensures zero-tolerance for denial of services to children and pregnant
women.
 Pregnant women also receive free transport from home to the health facility and drop
back after discharge.
 This initiative facilitates respectful care with privacy and support for breastfeeding.
 Facilities such as services for sick newborns and neonates and vaccination are offered for
zero cost.

Ministry of AYUSH

1. SMART 2.0
 Full form: Scope for Mainstreaming Ayurveda Research among Teaching Professionals
 The central Council for Research in ayurvedic science and the National Commission for
Indian system of medicine have jointly launched the SMART 2.0
 AIM: to Foster collaborative clinical studies in priority areas of Ayurveda with academic
Institution and Hospital across India.
 GOAL: to generate tangible evidence demonstrating the efficacy and safety of
Ayurvedic interventions through inter disciplinary research method translating the
finding into Public Health Care.
 SMART 1.0 covered around 10 diseases with active participation from teaching
professionals
 AYUSH is an acronym for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and
Homeopathy.

Ministry of EDUCATION

1. PRERANA Program
 PRERANA: An experimental learning program with the aim of providing a
meaningful unique and inspiring experience to selected students from class 9th to 12th.
 Features of the program
 It is a week-long residential initiative held at a Vernacular School where students will be
guided by mentors from prestigious institutions.
 The curriculum rooted in 9 value based themes includes activities such as Yoga,
mindfulness, meditation, experimental learning, thematic sessions and visit to ancient
Heritage site.
 Program embody the spirit of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam"

2. Digital study material in Indian languages


 The ministry of education has instructed schools and higher educational institutions like
UGC AICTE NCERT NIOS IGNOU to provide digital study material for all courses in
Indian languages within the next 3 year.
 The national education policy 2020 emphasizes multilingualism at all education levels.
 Article 350 A of the Constitution mandate education in mother tongue for children from
linguistic minority groups at primary stage.
 The right to Education Act 2009 recommends using the mother tongue as the medium
of instruction whenever possible.
 Initiatives in Education
 PM e-Vidya : A initiative under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan 2020 for Digital online
on air education.
 Anuvadini (AI based App) : translation of Engineering, Medical, Law, UG , PG and
skill books through an AI based App.
 e-KUMBH Portal : launched by AICTE to provide free access to technical education
books in various Indian languages.
 Diksha portal : offers study material for school education in over 30 Indian languages
 Bhasha Sagar project : aimed at developing a mobile application and a web based
platform for learning Indian languages.
 Natural language translation : A mission facilitating access to teaching and research
material across all regional languages.
 Sathee portal : developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur this portal assist student
preparing for competitive exam nationwide.

3. APAAR Card
 Full form : Automated Permanent Academy Account Registry
 Based on the concept of One Nation One student id referred to as Apaar ID in
alignment with the national education policy 2020.
Highlights:
 The APAAR ID is an education ecosystem registry system known as “Edulocker” for
student across all states in India.
 It will digitally store academic qualifications, credit scores, certificate and other
academic data for students from pre-primary to higher education.
 The unique 12 digit APAAR ID will be used for admissions and other academic
activities making it convenient for students.

4. Multiple Entry and Multiple Exit (MEME) system in NEP 2020


 Educational approach that allows students in higher education to enter and exit their
academic program at various points, not necessary leave following a traditional linear
progression.
Benefits
 It offers students greater flexibility by permitting them to live with certificate or diploma
at different stage rather than completing a full degree program which can suit their
individual needs and circumstances.
 This system is intended to provide diverse educational Pathways.

 Provision of national education policy (NEP) 2020 for higher education


 Increase GER to 50% by 2035: to increase the grass enrollment ratio in higher
education from about 26% (2018) to 50% by 2035.
 Holistic Multidisciplinary Education : The policy invisions broad based, multi-
disciplinary, Holistic undergraduate education (UG) with flexible curriculum.
 To promote creative combination of subjects.
 UG education can be three or four years with various exit options and certificate at
different stages.
 But 2025 at least 50% of learners through schools and higher education systems shall
have exposure to vocational education.
 Regulations: the Higher Education Commission of India will be established as a single
overarching umbrella body excluding Medical and Legal education.
 Rationalized institutional architecture: the definition of University will be expanded
ranging from research intensive University to teaching intensive universities and
autonomous degree granting colleges.

5. Malviya Mission - Teachers Training Program


 The mission launched under University ground Commission (UGC).
 It is proposed by restructuring of existing scheme of capacity building of teachers under
the department of Higher Education.
Objectives
 To provide tailor training program for teachers and enhance the quality of education.
 The program will capacitate 15 lakh teachers across India through 111 Malviya mission
centers.
 It seeks to make educator future ready improving training quality.

6. Vidya Samiksha Kendras


 The ministry of education is urging States to established Vidya Samiksha Kendra which
are data repositories under the National Digital Education Architecture.
 These centers will collect data from various educational schemes run by Ministry of
Education including mid-day meal programs, teachers training, text book content, School
attendance, student learning outcomes and performance grading.

7. PM SHRI Schools (PM School for Rising India)


 Under the scheme 14,500 schools across Indian states and Union Territories will be
redeveloped to reflect the key feature of New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
 PM Shri School will be an upgrade of existing School run by Centre, state, UTs and
local bodies. This means a PM SHRI School can be an upgraded KV JNV, or even a
school run by State Government or Municipal Corporation.
 States and union territories interested in getting included under the scheme will have to
first agree to implement the NEP in its entirety.

8. NIPUN Bharat Program


 NIPUN stand for the National Initiative for Proficiency in Reading with
Understanding and Numeracy.
 Implemented by department of school education and literacy.
 Target: Every child in the country necessarily attains foundation literacy and numeracy
by the end of grade 3, by 2026-27.
 It will cover the learning needs of children in age group of 3 to 9 years.
 Implementation:
 Five tier implementation mechanisms will be set up at the National-State-District-
Block-School level in all state and UTs under the aegis of centrally sponsored scheme of
Samgra Shiksha.
 Focus area:
 Different domains of development like physical and mental development, socio-
emotional development, literacy and numeracy development, cognitive development, life
skill etc.
 To support in courage students, along with their schools, teachers, parents and
communities.
 Key components and expected outcomes of NIPUN Bharat Mission:
 Foundation skills, reducing the dropouts and improve transition rate
 Activity based learning
 Innovative pedagogies
 Intensive capacity building of teachers

9. Parakh initiative
 PARAKH has been set up as the organization under NCERT.
 It will work on bringing the school boards across the state and the union territories on
a common platform.
 PARAKH will act as a common platform for interaction of all concerned stakeholders in
order to develop a holistic approach that ensures a fair assessment system which
promotes equity in performance and equivalence in assessment of students.

10. Institutions of Eminence scheme


 The scheme Institutions of Eminence has been launched by the University Grants
Commission in 2017 to empower Higher Educational institutions to help them become
world class teaching and research institutions. The objective of the scheme is to provide
an enabling regulatory architecture to ten public and ten private Higher Educational
institutions to emerge as world-class Teaching and Research institutions.
 The present guidelines shall apply to Government institutions viz. Central Universities,
Government owned and controlled Deemed to be Universities, institutions of National
importance such as lndian lnstitutes of Technology, Indian lnstitutes of lnformation
Technology, National lnstitutes of Technology and Indian lnstitutes of Science Education
and Research, Government owned standalone lnstitutions working under individual
MoAs, such as lndian institutes of Management and State Universities set up under a law
made by Legislative

11. Margdarshan Scheme


 Margdarshan Initiative has been introduced by All India Council for Technical
Education in 2018 for facilitating the technical institutes in order to improve the quality
of technical education as a whole through accreditation by providing access to the
facilities available in host institute.
 A well-established AICTE approved institute/Centrally Funded Institutes such as IITs/
NITs /IIITS/IISc/ISERs/IIMs etc. referred to as Margdarshan Institute or Mentor
Institute (MI) is supported with an objective to mentor up to 10 nearby institutes in
achieving accreditation.

12. “Ishan Uday” Special Scholarship Scheme For North Eastern Region
 A scholarship scheme by the Ministry of Education and the University Grants
Commission.
 For improving the GER, promoting higher education, and encouraging children
belonging to the economically weaker sections of the NE region, the UGC has decided
to launch “Ishan Uday”
 The eligibility criteria are as follows - Students with the domicile of NER, whose
parental annual income does not exceed ₹4,50,000 from all sources. Passed XII or
equivalent in the preceding year of study i.e. 2021 for applications called for during the
year 2021-22, and secured admission in the first year of any degree course.

13. e-Shodh Sindhu Scheme (eSS)


 Launched by the All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE e-Shodh Sindhu
Scheme (eSS) provides subscriptions of e-Resources like Web of Science, Scopus, The
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society of Civil
Engineers (ASCE) and Bentham Science to institutions.
 Objective:
 Facilitating access to e-Resource to the students, faculty and researchers, a new to
augment the culture of research in the institution and overall quality of technical
education.

14. LILAVATI AWARD


 LILAVATI AWARD, launched by AICTE, the intends to recognize efforts being made
by AICTE approved institutions to treat women with „equality and fairness‟ in all
spheres of their lives. By means of this initiative, all the stakeholders (especially the girl
students) in AICTE approved institutions would get a unique opportunity to present a
solution to the prevalent issues of gender discrimination, such as illiteracy,
unemployment, economic and nutritional disparities, maternal mortality, human rights,
etc.

Ministry of Women and Child Development

1. Mission VATSALYA Scheme


 To achieve development and Child Protection priorities allied with the sustainable
development goals
 It lays emphasis on child rights advocacy and awareness along with strengthening of the
Juvenile justice care and protection system.
 Moto : live no child behind
 The Juvenile justice care and protection of children act 2015 provisions and the
protection of children from sexual offences act 2012 form the basic Framework for
implementation of the mission.
 It is a centrally sponsored scheme in partnership with State Government and UTs
 It support the children through non institutional care under private added sponsorship
wherein interested responses can provide assistant to children in difficult circumstances

2. PALNA Scheme
 Palna scheme is a Central sponsored initiative by the Ministry of women and child
development formerly known as the National Creche scheme.
 The scheme is a part of Samarthya which is a sub component under mission Shakti.
 Aim: 1) To address the urgent need for quality Day Care facility/Creche for the children
of working women
2) To improve nutrition and health status of children
 Maternity Benefit Act, 2017 requires every establishment having 50 or more employees
to have the facility within a prescribed distance.
 Focus of the scheme
Two types of Creches:
1) Anganwadi cum-Creches: these centers combine existing anganwadi services with
dedicated creche facilities
2) Stand-alone creches: which were running under the erstwhile National crèche
scheme has been included.
 Service included
 Early stimulation services for children under 3 years.
 For children Age 3 to 6 year it provide pre-school education
 Additionally health checkups and immunization with POSHAN 2.0 are part of the
initiative.
 Target group: Children of 6 months to 6 years, of working women in rural and urban
areas who are employed for a minimum period of 15 days in a month, are 6 month in a
year.

Ministry of Science and technology

1. National Geospatial Policy, 2022


 It‟s a Citizen centric policy that seeks to strengthen the geospatial sector to support
National Development, economic prosperity and thriving information economy.

 Aim: the 13-years guideline promotes the countries geospatial data industry and develops
a national framework.
 Themes: the policy has divided 14 geospatial data themes to support the development.
Example: disaster management, mining, forestry etc.
 Technology infrastructure:
 Geospatial knowledge infrastructure (GKI):
 The government will established and integrated data information Framework by 2030
 The government will also established National digital twin (for high resolution
topographical survey and mapping by 2035)
 Institutional infrastructure:
 Data promotion and development committee will be constituted
 It will put in place a legal framework (by 2025) that supports the liberalization of the
geospatial sector and democratization of data for enhanced commercialization with value-
added services.

2. Innovation In Science Pursuit For Inspired Research (INSPIRE)


 The "INSPIRE FACULTY FELLOWSHIP" component provides opportunities to 100
persons every year with Ph.D. qualifications in the age group of 27-32 years for 5 years
to carry out research in both basic and applied science areas including engineering,
medicine, agriculture, and veterinary sciences for establishing themselves as independent
researchers. It grants an attractive fellowship for duration of 5 years. The objective of the
scheme is to encourage young researchers to continue research in areas of S&T,
Medicine, Agriculture, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Sciences.
 INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship provides an opportunity to post-doctoral fellows for
carrying out independent research however does not guarantee a regular position after 5
years.
 Each selected INSPIRE Faculty Fellow will be eligible to receive a consolidated amount
of ₹1,25,000/- per month as a fellowship with an annual increment of ₹2,000/-

3. E-YUVA Scheme: E-YUVA Centers


 “Empowering Youth for Undertaking Value Added Innovative Translational Research
(E-YUVA)” scheme was started by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance
Council (BIRAC) to promote a culture of applied research and need-oriented (societal or
industry) entrepreneurial innovation among young students and researchers.
 The BIRAC‟s E-YUVA scheme is implemented through dedicated hubs called “E-
YUVA Centers (EYCs)” housed within the University/Institute set up and mentored by a
BIRAC BioNEST-supported bio-incubator.

4. Vigyan Dhara‟s Scheme


 To promote S & T capacity building as well as research, innovation and technology
development towards strengthening the Science, Technology and Innovation ecosystem
in the country.
 Budget allotted 10,000 Crore.
 Three previously sub-scheme related to research and innovation has been merged with
this scheme.

Ministry Of Earth Sciences

1. PRITHVI VIGYAN Scheme


 To be implemented between 2021-26, aims to study the atmosphere, ocean, weather,
and Earth system Sciences.
 Objective includes enhancing long-term observations of the earth system, developing
modeling systems for weather prediction, exploring polar and high seas regions, and
developing Technology for oceanic resource harnessing.
 It income passage 5 ongoing sub-schemes: ACROSS, O-SMART, PACER, SAGE and
REACHOUT
 ACROSS: Atmospheric and Climate Research Modeling Observing System and Services
 O-SMART: Ocean Services Modelling Application, Resources and Technology
 PACER: Polar Science and Cryosphere Research
 SAGE: Seismology and Geoscience
 REACHOUT: Research Education Training and Outreach

2. India's Deep Ocean Mission


 The mission aims to address scientific and economics challenges associated with ocean
exploration and resource utilization.
 In line with blue economy: aims to sustainably utilize ocean resources and health of
ocean ecosystem.
 The DOM is in line with the ministry of Earth sciences‟ blue economy initiative
including recently released the draft blue economy policy. DOM is one of nine
missions under the Prime Minister Science technology and innovation Advisory Council.

Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises

1. RAMP Program (Rejuvenation, Acceleration and Mitigation of Pandemic)


 Government had launched a world bank supported Central sector scheme called RAMP
 The scheme aim at strengthening Institutions and governance at the Centre and State
improving Centre-State linkage and partnership and improving access of MSME to
market and credit, technology up-gradation and addressing issue of delayed payment and
greening of MSMEs.
 Intervention under RAMP program
 This schemes focus on supporting MSME and addressing key challenges they face.
 About the schemes:
 The first scheme MSE GIFT, aims to encourage green investment and provide
financing for the transformation of MSMEs.
 The second scheme MSE SPICE, is designed to promote and invest in the circular
economy emphasizing sustainable practices.
 Lastly, the MSE scheme on online dispute resolution for delayed payment focuses on
resolving payment delays through online dispute resolution mechanism, facilitating
smoother financial transaction for MSMEs.

2. Gramodyog Vikas Yojana


 It is a scheme under the Khadi and Village Industry Commission (KVIC) part of the
ministry of MSMEs and was launched in March 2020.
 Aim: to promote and develop village Industries through common facilities, technological
modernization, training etc.
 Included activities:
 Agro based and food processing industries
 Mineral based industries
 Wellness and cosmetics industry
 handmade paper, leather and plastic industry
 Rural engineering and new technology industry
 Service industry
 Components
 R & D and product innovation
 Capacity building
 Marketing and publicity

3. PM Vishwakarma Scheme
 PM launched the scheme for traditional artisans and craftspeople on occasion of
Vishwakarma Jayanti.
 Purpose: Holistic support to the traditional artisans and craftspeople
 It‟s a Central Sector Scheme, which will be conjointly implemented by the Union
Ministry of MSME, Skill Development and Finance.
 Objective: To enable recognition of artisans and craftspeople as Vishwakarmas and to
provide skill up-gradation.

 Eligibility: An Artisan who is working with hand and tools and engage in one of the
recognized family-based traditional trade in the unorganized sector on self-employemet
basis and at least 18 years old.

Ministry of External Affairs

1. Pravasi Bhartiya Divas


 Celebrated on January 9 every year to mark the contribution of overseas Indian
community to the development of India.
 January 9 as the date to celebrate the occasion because on this day in 1915 Mahatma
Gandhi return to India from South Africa.
 Since 2015 under a revised format, PBD convention has been organized once every 2
years.
 During the convention, selected Overseas Indians are Arnold with the prestigious Pravasi
Bhartiya Samman award (PSBA) to recognize their contributions to various fields both
in India and abroad.
 The PSBA in confirm by the President of India as part of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas
convention on NRI person of Indian Origin or organization stabilized and run by NRIs in
recognition of their outstanding achievements in India and abroad.
 Committee with the vice president and the chairman and external affairs minister as the
vice chairman and other distinguished member from various works of life.

Ministry of Rural Development

1. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA)


 This is a Rural Employment program in India that aims to provide guaranteed wage
employment to rural households. The scheme has been implemented in India since 2005
and has been credited with providing a safety net for rural households particularly during
the time of economic hardship.
 About MANREGA
 It provides a legal guarantee for 100 days of unskilled manual employment in every
financial year to adult members of any rural household.
 It is a demand-driven scheme.
 A 60:40 wage and material ratio have to be maintained.
 Employment will be given within 15 days of application for work then a daily
unemployment allowance has to be paid.
 Social audit has to be done by the Gram Sabha
 At least one third of beneficiaries shall be women
 Wages are to be paid according to the minimum wages act 1948 for agriculture
labourers in the state. It is pegged to CPI (Agriculture Labour)
 It has the provision for additional 50 days of unskilled wage employment in drought/
natural calamity notified rural areas.

 CPGRAMS is now available in 22 scheduled languages

1. Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY)


 Implementation: It is being implemented in all states and union territories for five years
from financial year 2020- 21 to financial in year 2024-25. It provides insurance coverage
and financial assistant to fishermen.
 Aim: rural development and boosting the ruler economy. Core and trunk infrastructure
development and modernization of Indian fisheries.
 Motto: Reform, Perform and Transform.
 Type of scheme: Umbrella scheme with Central sector scheme and centrally sponsored
scheme components.
 Target: Enhanced fish production of 22 million metric tons, increase sector GVA in
agriculture GVA to 9%, double export earnings to about Rs. 1 Lakh crore, reduction of
post-harvest losses to about 10% and doubling the income of fish farmers.

1. Dare to Dream (D2D) Scheme


 The Dare to dream scheme is a contest organized by Ministry of Defence in India
specifically by the Defence Researchers and Development Organization (DRDO).
 The contest aims to increase Innovation and creativity among individual innovators
and startups.
 D2D contest initiated in memory of former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, is an
annual initiative by the DRDO.

2. Veer Gatha Project 3.0


 The third edition of the Veer Gatha project saw active participation from over 1.36 crore
school students across all the states and union territories in India.
 About the project
 The project initiated under the gallantry awards portal in 2021, aims to highlight acts of
bravery by armed forces personal and instill values of Patriotism and Civic consciousness
among students. Students submitted poems, paintings, essays, videos and more to honour
these brave individuals.

3. Project Udbhav
 Project Udbhav has been launched by the Indian Defence Minister, aiming to integrate
ancient Indian strategic wisdom into modern military pedagogy.
 The project, in collaboration with the United service Institution of India, seeks to create
an Indigenous strategic vocabulary based on Indian philosophy and culture.
 The project will explore under-explored strategic thinking, statecraft, and warfare from
classical texts and enrich military training curricula like Chanakya‟s Arthashastra rtc.

4. ADITI Scheme
 Defence Minister Rajnath Singh unveiled the Active Development of Innovative
Technologies with iDEX (ADITI) scheme.
 Aim: The scheme aims to promote innovations in critical and strategic defence.
technologies, providing start-ups with significant grants for research and development.
 Purpose: To develop about 30 deep-tech critical and strategic technologies where the
country does not have existing capabilities.

1. Star Labeling of Solar Panels


 The Indian government has introduced as star labeling program for Solar panels to
enhance consumer awareness and promote the use of high quality and energy efficient
solar photovoltaic modules.
 Star Labeling Program is a voluntary program that rates the energy efficiency of the
appliances on a scale of 1-5. The program was formulated by the Bureau of Energy
Efficiency (BEE) under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001.
2. Mission On Advanced and High-Impact Research (MAHIR)
 Purpose: To facilitate indigenous research, development and demonstration of the latest
and emerging technologies in the Power/Energy Sector.
 The scheme is launched in the collaboration with the New and Renewable Energy
(MNRE)
 Objective: To identify emerging technologies/areas of the future relevance of the energy
sector and create a vibrant & innovative ecosystem and provide a common platform for
energy sector stakeholders for various tasks.

1. National Geo Science Data Repository Portal


 The ministry of Mines has launched the national Geo-science data repository portal.
 Spearheaded by the Geological Survey of India and Bhaskaracharya Institute of space
application and Geoinformatics. This online platform aims to provide comprehensive

 The portal has been created as a part of the National Mineral Exploration Policy

sharing and creating public geoscience data.
2. Scheme to Accelerate Exploration of Critical Minerals
 The ministry of mines has introduced the new scheme to expedite the exploration of
critical and deep-seated minerals.
 Under this initiative the ministry will directly sanction exploration projects to notified
private exploration agencies.
 Additionally these NPEAs, are now permitted to Bid for auctioning mineral blocks they
have explored, a privilege previously unavailable to them.

 Objective: Promote Innovation and entrepreneurship in India, develop programs and

ecosystem.
 Major initiative:

2. Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP)


 NITI Aayog released The first Delta ranking of the ABP.
 Program: the ABP is an initiative launched by Niti Aayog in January 2023

relatively underdeveloped blocks across India.
 Geographic Coverage: 500 blocks from 329 districts in 27 states and 4 UTs.

 SATH –E: full form „Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital in Education‟
 About: launched by Niti Aayog in 2017, aims to ensure quality school education and

 Key findings of recent reports: India with 5 times More School then China, despite

 Prasadam: India's first healthy and hygienic food street, Prasadam was inaugurated by
the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare.
 Prasadam aims to connect citizens across the country with pure and safe local and
traditional food promoting healthy eating habits.
 The food street includes facilities such as kids play area, drinking water, CCTV
surveillance, parking, public convenience and seating spaces.
 The event also features the launch of the “The DART book” by the Food Safety and

 The Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) advocates for the

 Surat diamond board claim to be “world‟s biggest workspace” with 4200 diamond

 Cell Broadcast Alert System
 The national disaster management authority cell broadcast alert system is a cutting-edge

 Regional Rapid Transit System
 The Prime Minister inaugurated the first League of the Regional Rapid Transit System,

 The RRTS is designed to operate at the speed of up to 180 km/hr and is expected to

 Operation Chakra-2
 The Central Bureau of Investigation carried out a wide spread crackdown on cyber
criminals in India in an operation known as Operation Chakra-2.

intelligence unit.
 Operation Chakra-1 was conducted nearly a year ago in collaboration with Interpol, the
