Chapter 841 14.117 Last Violet Star – (Past) Xie Clan’s Captives
The abducted heirs were all assembled in the basement jail. Since the acupoints that permitted Yun
Huaxia and Bai Qiyin to circulate the qi are blocked, they are presently no different from ordinary people
since they are stuck to one another in the same situation without their qi. Someone from the Jin Tiangui
Sect, but not the heir, Jin Shiyan, was imprisoned among them.
It was one of the Jin Sect Master’s illegitimate offspring with the given name Jin Baihua and the courtesy
name of Jin Huayu. The Xie Clan did not want to annihilate the Jin Tiangui Sect as they did the Bai
Lengshui Sect when they attacked them. They never intended to capture the Sect’s heir because they
knew he had been seriously injured during their assault; instead, they just frightened them. They
eventually decided to use Jin Baihua as his replacement out of fear that the heir to the Jin Tiangui Sect
would die if they kept him in his current condition.
After finding that his brothers are missing, his parents have passed away, and his sect has perished, Yun
Huaxia cradled his lover in his arms as he slept off after grieving for days. As soon as he learned of their
awful fates, Bai Qiyin became extremely anxious.
“Mom... Dad... D-Don’t leave... Lili... Dage, help... me,” mumbled Bai Qiyin in his dream.
Yun Huaxia sighed as he watched over his beloved as he slept with his head on his shoulder, suffering
from a nightmare. “Yin’er...? Sigh I hope that A’Wuan, Xiao Jie, and Xiao Li are safe,” he said.
Yun Huaxia said to Jin Baihua, “You are from the Jin Tiangui Sect aren’t you? Your name is...”
“I see... Take these pills to ease your pain. Even if you don’t use qi it should be effective,” said Yun
Huaxia.
.....
“...” Jin Baihua still accepted the pills. He was a bit shocked that Yun Huaxia is willing to help him.
First Young Master Yun offered Jin Baihua some pills when he noticed him panting in agony. The Xie Clan
did not take away their weapons or the items on them; they just sealed their acupoints. After all, a
cultivator’s strength would be no greater than that of the average person.
The First Young Master of the Lan Zhuayun Sect genuinely values his Dao Companion as an important
person in his heart. His golden eyes were adorned with a lovely mixture of anxiety and regret. The Xie
Clan kept them in the loop about events outside even though they were being held captive. They all
heard the outcome of the Xie Clan’s assault against the four Great Sects.
This contains the demise of the Bai Lengshui Sect and the report that the Lan Zhuayun Sect’s Sect
Master has been put into a coma as a result of his wounds.
Jin Baihua’s covert envy was not visible to Yun Huaxia since he was only focused on his Dao Companion.
He was the only one of the three who received bad treatment since he wasn’t an heir. Jin Baihua’s torso
and face were covered with bruises, scrapes, and remnants of rope. Obviously, when he was brought
away, he was beaten up.
Following the sect leaders’ concealment of the Lu Brothers, the Xie Clan similarly failed to apprehend
any members of the Lu Clan. Instead, many of the Lu Weifeng Sect’s top members perished throughout
the procedure. Compared to the Bai Lengshui Sect, they weren’t as exclusive.
They would have to demolish the city in the south if they were to destroy them in the same manner as
the latter. But what they want is to conquer the whole mortal realm so the Lu Weifeng Sect wasn’t
completely destroyed.
After his vessel and spirit momentarily stabilized, Bai Wuan finally awoke. When he opened his eyes, he
was the only one in the space. Bai Wuan sat up with a touch of numbness and ache in his body. He
merely requires a little period of meditation to return to his prior condition.
Yun Xiajie entered the room with some food just as he was about to end his meditation. A tray of food,
including two bowls of porridge, pancakes for two, various meat dishes, and a plate of dried fruits, had
been brought over by him.
Yun Xiajie said, “You’re awake, Jing’er. I made breakfast. So let’s eat together.”
He helped his sweetheart stroll toward the breakfast, which was set on a little table near the bedroom.
They both took seats at the little table and got ready to eat. As they ate, Yun Xiajie was presenting food
to his Jing’er.
Bai Wuan asked, “Where are Father Yun and Uncle Yun?”
“The other two sects agreed and sent a representative to join us. Jin Shiyan represents the Jin Tiangui
Clan and he just arrived with your younger sister. The brothers also come from the Lu Weifeng Sect,”
said Yun Xiajie. “We are preparing to attack the Xie Clan and are asking the Jin Tiagui Sect and Lu
Weifeng Sect for support.”
“I would first see Uncle Yun and Father Yun before I met those who would help in battling the Xie Clan,”
Bai Wuan responds, “I see. We can discuss about Father Yun’s condition after eradicating the Xie Clan.”
“I will inform them. Let’s finish eating first,” said Yun Xiajie.
The two people conversely consume their dinners. Yun Xiajie left their peak after eating because he
wanted to see his father and uncle and tell them that he had finally woken up. Bai Wuan, meanwhile,
went to their hot spring in the backyard to take a bath.
Cough! Bai Wuan’s lip’s corner drips blood, and he casually wipes it off.
“They are advising me to complete my trial quickly and leave for the Upper Realm, but I don’t want to go
back just yet,” Bai Wuan murmured as he waved his hands and let his qi clear away all signs of blood,
even the aroma. He feared that his husband might find anything strange.
Behind Bai Wuan, a guy suddenly materialized and passed a recording orb while being completely
covered in a black robe. On the side of his neck was a strange snowflake, blood crimson. This snowflake
was created by Bai Wuan. The person who showed there was one of the covert spies Bai Wuan had left
with the Xie Clan to keep an eye on his younger brother, Bai Qiyin.
When Bai Wuan got the recording orb, he discovered that Yun Huaxia and his brother-in-law, Bai Qiyin,
are both doing OK. They were simply unable to flee because their acupoints were blocked.
“You can liberate anybody from there, but getting my brother and the heir of the Lan Zhuayan Sect to
safety comes first,” according to Bai Wuan, who sent a few people to carry them away covertly.
The guy bowed to Bai Wuan and obeyed his orders. “As you desire my lord,” he said, before vanishing
from view once more.
The Sect Master in his soul form and the Great Elder of the Lan Zhuayan Sect followed his husband
home as he left. The living room was filled with the four of them.
“Don’t worry, Father Yun. I have rested enough,” answered Bai Wuan.
“Is it truly alright for you to move around? You’ve been asleep for three entire days,” the Great Elder
Yun Xiayu said.
Bai Wuan smiled and added, “Please don’t worry, Uncle Yun, I’m already fine.”
“Okay. This old man will trust your statements for the time being. Then... Why did you wish to see us?”
Yun Xiayu sighed.
“I’ve already made arrangements to bring away Elder Brother Yun and Qiqi from the Xie Clan. They
might return while we are fighting. I hope you take care of them when they come back,” said Bai Wuan.
“We would be attacking the Xie Clan shortly after we talked to the other representatives of the sects,”
he added.
“You may leave them in our care, and you wouldn’t be taking your younger sister, would you? Leave her
here. We can look after her while you guys are gone.”
Then, Bai Wuan stated, “I will leave Lili over to Uncle Yun and Father Yun. Keep these amulets handy just
in case. Also, please, keep these with you. It would activate if you are in severe danger. Though it can
only prevent an immortal assault once and may be flung over the adversary to greatly hurt them, keep
these amulets handy just in case.”
The amulets had a white color and were designed like snowflakes. It was a consumable artifact of the
immortal class, which may not be utilized repeatedly. They were running out of time, so Bai Wuan had
no time to create actual amulets for them.
Each elder accepted an amulet and gave Bai Wuan a nod. They were aware that not everything can be
prevented. They knew Bai Wuan left them this in case of emergency, but there was no way they could
stop that demon if it attacked them once it fled. He offered to keep them safe even when he was
abroad, and these elders accepted his offer. nov𝑒𝓵𝑢𝑠𝑏/𝗰\o/𝓶
“Okay, we will save this for the time being. You, children, should concentrate on your next mission
instead. As for the sect, leave the rest to us old men,” remarked Sect Master Yun.
The Great Elder, Yun Xiayu, said, “Are you people departing as soon as the preparation is finished?”
The Sect Master responded, “Okay. Be cautious. We will leave the matter of the Xie Clan to you, lads.
Don’t overdo it!”
“We won’t!”
Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin were snuggling up together for warmth while they slept inside the jail.
Jin Baihua was restrained by steel bars not far from them and also asleep. In comparison to the true
successors of the Lan Zhuayan and Bai Lengshui Sects, his status is quite different. In reality, the Xie Clan
views Jin Baihua as nothing more than a prisoner. In contrast to the two who were with him, he wasn’t
even offered food. Thankfully, Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin have Bigu Pill with them. For a few days, it
prevents them from going famished.
Bigu Pill is a low-grade medicine that is only good for preventing hunger in cultivators who have not yet
attained Nascent Soul Stage. At the Qi Gathering and Establishment Foundation Stage, every disciple
possessed it. Some are kept by Yun Huaxia for his sweetheart. They were able to maintain their energy
levels while having qi seals that were identical to those of mortals because of this pill.
While the three inmates of the subterranean jail slept in one of the cells. A person wearing a completely
black robe covering his entire body, including his face, emerges from the darkness.
Even if the First Young Master’s qi was suppressed, he was still likely to sense someone approaching
him. He could already hear the coming quiet footsteps.
Yun Huaxia’s thoughts, ‘I didn’t hear the door opening. Where did this person come from?!’
Once the individual arrived near them, he removed his blade from the hilt. But as soon as a white jade
with a Bai character appeared in front of him, Yun Huaxia’s activities came to a complete stop. Only a
member of the Bai Clan’s direct bloodline had this. Apart from his lover, only Bai Wuan and Bai Lili
would be possessed among Bai’s surviving offspring. The young princess of Bai lacks the resources to
have either of these types of individuals, leaving just one person to think of.
The guy in the black robes murmured in a low voice, “We are coming to safely escort Sir Yun and the
little lord away.”
“How?”
Before dusk, a fresh task was assigned to the covert agents’ Bai Wuan had left in the Xie Clan to monitor.
The heirs’ rescue from the Xie Clan’s underground prison is their final mission, and they were specifically
instructed to safeguard Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin’s lives as their main priority. In other words, they must
protect these two objectives even if it means sacrificing themselves.
These spies shared characteristics with death warriors who swore allegiance to Bai Wuan. Bai Wuan
established his own small team of spies at the same time as he allowed a few cultivators from the Bai
Lengshui Sect to train under him. These are cultivators who have lost contact with everyone on the
surface. They had lived forever in the dark as Bai Wuan’s extra limbs and eyes.
These cultivators, who were prepared to die for him at any time and would obey his instructions to the
bitter end, were even more powerful than the group of disciples Bai Wuan had cultivated for the Bai
Lengshui Sect. They are devoted to Bai Wuan alone. Only a handful of them exist, and the majority of
them were Golden Core Stages.
Additionally, he taught these guys how to manipulate space and dark elemental techniques from Bai
Wuan’s initial memories of Hei Anjing. However, unlike Bai Wuan who can teleport regardless of where
he is, they must first build two points of the array that they may utilize to link to a place and use it as the
path of their teleportation. They could teleport on their own but teleporting with someone needs to
fulfill these requirements.
The guy in the black robe whispered to the First Young Master of Lan Zhuayun Sect, “Please remain
quiet. We will make the teleportation array right now.”
Yun Huaxia questioned the first person who stood before him in pristine black clothes, “What is your
name?” His companions could scarcely be distinguished from one another because they were all dressed
in the same robes and had their faces totally covered.
“Please address me as “Zero” since that is the name I go by in our organization. I’m afraid I can’t tell Sir
my true name without the Lord’s consent.”
Zero answered, “Yes. It was his order to escort sir and the little lord safely back to Lan Zhuayan Sect.”
.....
“Then thank you for your hard work,” said First Young Master Yun.
“This humble one had basic medical skills as well. Please let me check on sir and the little master.” Zero
said, “Do not worry about your qi leaking; he has activated an array in this cell that not only blocks noise
but also blocks aura of all kinds of energy. These are some arrays the Lord had taught our group.”
Yun Huaxia agreed and initially extended a hand to the person going by the name of Zero. The latter
realized that Yun Huaxia’s acupoints were purposefully obstructed after running his qi through his body.
He began unblocking the First Young Master of the Lan Zhuayun Sect’s obstructed acupoints, enabling
him to reclaim his sealed power as a cultivator.
Only after receiving a go sign from the First Young Master of Yun can Zero check on Bai Qiyin’s pulse.
After running his qi in his little lord’s body, what he learned shocked him. Zero’s voice was shaking and
you could sense the tremble in his heart.
He made many attempts and examined Bai Qiyin’s status multiple times. Under his mask, the man’s face
became white, and even his eyes were trembling with shock. The man’s reply made Yun Huaxia nervous,
and he realized that something obviously went wrong.
The First Young Master Yun asked, “What’s wrong with Yin’er?”
Yun Huaxia said, “Abolished Cultivation? No, they’ve only sealed our acupoints, why is Yin’er’s...”
“I-If... If the Lord learned about this... The Xie Clan... I don’t think they would end well...” said Zero.
Frowning a bit, Jin Baihua asked, “Is the Ice Demon of the Bai Lengshui Sect that strong? Isn’t he only a
young disciple whose age is below 20?”
In shock, Yun Huaxia, Zero, and the other men in black robes eyed Jin Baihua. Although for different
causes, they both have astonishment painted on their faces. Jin Baihua did not trust the famed might of
Bai Wuan in the rumors, but Yun Huaxia, Zero, and the others knew more about Bai Wuan’s Identity.
That is a reincarnated immortal. Why would a simple Nascent Soul Cultivator frighten an immortal?
The Devil Race is far more powerful than a simple mortal who hasn’t even transcended, and Bai Wuan
has his own ordeal to think about. These are the sole reasons Bai Wuan didn’t become actively engaged
in the issues of the Mortal Realm. Furthermore, Bai Wuan was subjected to a lot of restrictions. He
wouldn’t violate these limitations imposed on him by the Immortal Emperor, his father unless he lost
control of his emotions.
Zero and the rest of his allies remained silent in response to Jin Baihua’s query. In the end, it was Yun
Huaxia, this gentle big brother who responded to him.
“The last time I met A’Wuan he was already in the Peak Golden Core Stage. Years had passed since then,
he must have reached the Nascent Soul Stage by now. The Ancestor of the Xie Clan had been stagnant in
the Mid-Nascent Soul Stage ever since he upgraded his cultivation. After suffering from mental demons,
his cultivation had degraded instead of increased, and is now in the Early Nascent Soul Stage. If A’Wuan
and my younger brother decided to attack them together then... The Xie Clan would no longer exist.
That is what frightened the Xie Clan and caused them to attack the Great Sects,” explained Yun Huaxia.
Jin Baihua asked, “Then why wasn’t he able to prevent the destruction of his own sect? Wasn’t he there
when they did so?”
“He wasn’t. A’Wuan was out on a journey with my younger brother removing the traces of the devil race
and demonic beings that sneak into our realm. They were both away when our sect was attacked,”
answered Yun Huaxia.
“No wonder. That demon’s younger brother was taken away,” said Jin Baihua as he stared at Bai Qiyin.
Jin Baihua had shackles around his neck, wrists, and ankles. Yun Huaxia used his sword qi to manipulate
them. He almost hit the ground but managed to catch himself in time. Even though Jin Baihua appears a
little frail for someone who grew up among the common people, he has more physical strength than a
young master like Bai Qiyin. Since he was a little child, he had been helping around the house.
Jin Baihua asked Zero, “Senior, can you unlock my acupoints as well?”
“No. I hadn’t reached any permission to do so. Our duty is only to escort Sir Yun and Little Lord, as for
the rest it wasn’t included in our task at all,” said Zero to Jin Baihua and then faced Yun Huaxia and
explained the reason for his actions. “Please pardon me for saying this to him. But the Lord says that
there might be other spies in the prison pretending to be one of the prisoners. Just in case, we choose
not to unsealed most of their acupoints except for those approved by the Lord.” nov𝑬𝗅𝓊𝓈𝑏/𝗰/o\𝓂
Zero disregarded the others as usual and cupped his hands to assist his allies in building the array.
While maintaining an understanding grin on the outside, Jin Baihua was enraged by this disrespectful
attitude.
Yun Huaxia pats his shoulder and says, “Please bear with it for now. I will unseal your acupoints when he
gets out of this territory.”
“Okay, Senior Brother Yun,” replied Jin Baihu as he gazed at this guy with eyes of amazement, adoration,
and tenderness. This man was the only one who didn’t look down on him regardless of his standing.
Unknown to him, Zero was observing from an adjacent corner and was not unaware of the situation, he
scowled when he noticed Jin Baihua’s reaction. Obviously, this man named Jin Baihua had some
disfavored emotions toward the Dao Companion of his little lord. As the little lord’s dao companion is
Yun Huaxia, seeing this scene made Zero determined to inform his master of this event after
accomplishing the mission at hand.
The teleportation array is finished after a while. Zero is one of at least five men wearing black robes. The
other four are spread out and seated at the four corners of the array, each clutching a Spacial crystal.
They are in this cell obviously to trigger the teleportation array and would probably be left behind to get
them all out.
Zero spoke, “All preparations had been made. Please step inside the array and will transfer you to
another location.”
The latter told him what had happened that his brother had dispatched his men to get him. Jin Baihua
followed them as they moved with Zero toward the direction of the array’s core. While staring at Bai
Qiyin with hidden dislike in his eyes, Jin Baihua stabbed his thumb with his nails and smeared blood on a
talisman that was concealed within his sleeves out of sight and secrecy.
This is a low-grade communication talisman that uses blood as the channel to send a distress signal.
Such a technique that involves blood is only known to Demonic cultivators.
He is, as was to be expected, one of the Xie Clan’s spies. In order to stop Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia from
escaping, one was specifically chosen by Xie Gui. Despite the fact that he moved entirely in secret, Bai
Qiyin was able to smell blood. However, upon seeing Jin Baihua covered in wounds that the pills
couldn’t completely treat, he didn’t give it any attention. But Jin Baihua flinched as a result of his gaze.
The Heir of the Bai Clan chose to ignore the scene but couldn’t help but scowl at it.
But while they were being transported, a disturbance in the underground jail caused all the barricades
that Zero and his colleagues had built to be destroyed. The subterranean passage resonates with the
sounds of shouts emanating from outside the cell.
“Argh! Fuck! Is that an array?! Destroy it!! They are trying to leave using it!!”
“Shit! Be careful! All of them are in the Golden Core Stage! Call the elders.”
Yun Huaxia and the others became anxious when they heard the ruckus outside, but Zero remained
unperturbed.
“Accelerate the Teleportation Array’s activation,” Zero commanded, “Ignore the chaos to finish the job.”
The other four guys, who were seated on the ground, said, “Yes, Leader,” and they continued to activate
the array.
The door to their cell was forced open just before the array was fully triggered, but Zero froze the flying
door towards them and shattered it into innumerable little pieces of ice. These ice fragments flew
towards them. Since the transfer would fail the instant the four guys activating the array were halted,
Zero concentrated on keeping those four men safe and left the protection of the little lord to his Dao
Companion as for Jin Baihua, Zero doesn’t care about him at all.
Bai Qiyin was shielded by Yun Huaxia with his sword. He also made an effort to defend Jin Baihua, but
the flying ice shards’ range was just too wide. Jin Baihua was still scratched and wounded in some parts
of his body.
When the cultivators of the Xie Clan noticed them, they all opened fire simultaneously. They chose to
leap on them as if they had seen this event many times and knew the people were attempting to flee.
“Don’t let them escape!! Especially the one with silver hair!!!”
It appears that their Ancestor had given them the command to apprehend Bai Qiyin and prevent his
escape. Xie Gui, after learning that Bai Wuan possessed silver eyes, made him remembers the man who
gave him inner demons. Due to this, Xie Gui despised Bai Wuan the most, and the Bai Lengshui Sect also
suffered from his rage before being destroyed in his direction. Knowing that Bai Qiyin is related to him,
Xie Gui was determined to keep the former. He was aware that the silver-eyed young man would
undoubtedly enter his domain as long as Bai Qiyin remained in his territory.
Chapter 843 14.119 Last Violet Star – (Past) Bai Qiyin’s Tears
As though their lives depended on it, every member of the Xie Clan wanted to stop Bai Qiyin from
escaping. They even paid little attention to Zero and the rest of his team, concentrating only on
obtaining Bai Qiyin. But they wouldn’t be allowed to, of course, by Yun Huaxia and Bai Wuan’s servants.
To control the flying ice shards, Zero executed his strongest move while also using his qi. He made them
fly like flying daggers at the members of the Xie Clan by using them as weapons.
The members of the Xie Clan began to collapse one by one, either dead or injured. The group inside the
formation had vanished by the time the array’s last activation had occurred. The only ones still fighting
were the four men who activated the array. These guys, who worked for Bai Wuan, had no fear of dying.
They have the ability to travel independently using space elements, and they can manipulate shadows
using dark elements. They are Bai Wuan’s most skilled assassination and espionage squad.
The Xie Clan’s ordinary members even got engaged in the large combat that had taken place in the
underground jail until it caused so much commotion that even involved the elders of the clan. The Xie
Clan’s domain was once more engulfed in chaos.
On the other hand, Yun Huaxia, Bai Qiyin, Zero, and Jin Baihua emerged at the mountain region close to
the Xie Clan’s outside borders on the opposite side of the array. For the four of them, there is nowhere
safer than where they are right now, despite how frightening the forest seemed in the night.
There aren’t any other individuals in the area, as Zero observed as he turned to look around. In order to
ensure Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin’s position is both secure and secret, he and his companion divided the
other inmates into different routes. Looking at Jin Baihua and the other three, he commands them to
remove their robes and requests that Yun Huaxia perform cleansing incantations on them. Just in case
the Xie Clan left some imprints on them as trackers.
While Zero cast a critical eye over Jin Baihua, Yun Huaxia concentrated on his Dao Companion. He
continued to implore the First Young Master of Yun to keep the acupoints of Jin Baihua sealed.
Zero spoke, “Sir Yun, please don’t unlock this man’s acupoints. We aren’t out of danger completely yet.”
.....
“When the Xie Clansmen suddenly appeared,” Zero said, “It was strange. As if someone had told them
about our escape. Most of them had focused on the cell where you escaped from and... Their obvious
aim is the Little Lord. Why do they know that the Little Lord is escaping?”
Zero observes Jin Baihua’s response as he speaks, but the man’s acting is so skilled that Zero is unable to
detect any flaws in his facial expressions. But the lord had always claimed that the more cunning a
person is, the more they appear to have no involvement.
Jin Baihua said, “Senior Brother Yun, I didn’t do it! Those people beat me up, why would I help them!?”
“...” Yun Huaxia felt confused as well. Both Zero and Jin Baihua’s words had enough advantages.
Zero said, “I think it’s very simple. You... Like Sir Yun and... was jealous of the Little Lord.”
“What... are you trying to say? Of course! I admire Senior Brother Yun. His reputation is quite famous,”
said Jin Baihua as he avoids Yun Huaxia showing his shyness.
Jin Baihua currently has the appearance of a fan meeting his hero. He can’t help but sneak glances at the
person he admires because he wants to watch how he responds. However, he emerges as Zero and Bai
Qiyin as a cunning little fox who wants to woo the First Young Master of Yun instead.
With the exception of his older brother, whom he most respects, and his lover, whom he loves the most,
Bai Qiyin never manages his attitude toward other people.
Even the first young master Yun was stunned speechless and blushing as though he had never
anticipated his beloved to display such overt possessiveness. His sweetheart has always been reserved
with him and may occasionally turn away from him if he feels uncomfortable. He differs from Bai Wuan,
who would constantly and everywhere openly embrace and flirt with his younger brother. But it seems
he thought things wrong, open possessiveness runs in the blood of the Bai Family.
Bai Qiyin was embraced by Yun Huaxia, who was overcome with joy and had a bright smile on his face.
“W-W-Who likes you!? Let me go!” said Bai Qiyin with a red face as a ripe tomato.
As he saw their interactions, Jin Baihua couldn’t help but sulk and express his hate. While Zero rolled his
eyes and cautioned the adorable pair in front of him.
Zero said, “Please don’t forget we still have to escape. Sir Yun, please carry the little lord. We must run
as fast as we can. Those guys would definitely send people after us.”
Yun Huaxia nods his head and follows the instructions. They changed into new garments and applied
cleansing talismans to the trio. Jin Baihua was apprehensive about changing his robes since they are
covered in talismans that belonged to the demonic cultivators he is studying. What he didn’t even
anticipate was that Zero would rip his old robes into several pieces and carry him under his armpit like a
bag of grain.
From the Xie Clan’s territory, they all flee. All of Zero’s friends bought time for them with their lives.
The last mission their master had assigned them was this one. They may serve the Lord in this world for
all eternity once they finish it. An allegiance to someone even after they have passed away.
—-
Meanwhile, early in the morning, in front of the Lan Zhuayan Sect, Cultivators in white, dark green, blue,
and gold robes had congregated in a huge gathering. From the Lan Zhuayun Sect, Lu Weifeng Sect, Bai
Lengshui Sect, and Jin Tiangui Sect, there are practitioners and disciples. Every group has a leader.
The cultivators led by Bai Wuan are those who are dressed in robes that are a close match to his own
shade of blue. Those carrying sabers and donning dark green robes follow Lu Yi. In gold brocade
garments, Jin Shiyan appeared before the disciples and cultivators. Finally, Yun Huaxia takes the lead
among the men who were dressed in identical white robes.
It was determined that the Xie Clan issue will be resolved by the present generation. Although a few
elders from each sect have also made the decision to move, the majority of Peak Golden Core cultivators
with elder rank are still situated in the Lan Zhuayan Sect. Their top priorities are to safeguard the
formation core and stop the devil from escaping from his cell. After all, the devil would be free to flee if
the formation’s central structure were to be destroyed.
The Lan Zhuayun Sect’s Great Elder appeared to bid them farewell. The Yun Sect Master desired to do
so, but his surreal form would only terrify the kids and their allies. Instead, he decides to delegate this
responsibility to his younger brother.
Yun Xiayu warned, “Be careful. Think carefully before making a move. Always watch for ambushes and
traps. Plan for escape routes and don’t be foolish to sacrifice your lives just to exterminate the enemies.
Lastly... Come back alive!”
They eventually started walking in the direction of the Xie Clan after saying a brief goodbye to the elders
of each sect. Those with flying swords had flown, while those without them rode in carriages and on
horses. It was established that Jin Shiyan would lead the group after Lu Yi as commander. The goal of
Yun Xiajie and Bai Wuan is to overthrow Xie Gui, the clan leader of the Xie.
The expedition which usually took days only took a few hours to complete since each of them was given
an Acceleration Talisman made by Bai Wuan. As they stopped for a little rest, they passed several towns
and villages on their journey. No one had lost sight of their destination, even though they had seen the
sun rise above their heads and illuminate the sky. They want to eradicate the wicked Xie Clan, which has
linked itself with the devil race and the Demonic Cultivators, by destroying their strongholds only then
they would be able to return.
Walking on land while carrying Bai Qiyin and Jin Baihua, Yun Huaxia, and Zero traverse. Fortunately, they
have the strength to keep running for hours while being pursued by their attackers.
They lose their pursuits and hide in a cave on a cliff before the sun has fully risen. Both Zero and Yun
Huaxia had bruises and injuries all over their bodies and were gasping from utilizing their qi excessively.
Bai Qiyin and Jin Baihua, who were fully unharmed throughout the chase, were now tending to them.
Bai Qiyin spoke, “Brother Hua, unsealed my acupoints. I can help you fight!”
The other three gave him no response when Bai Qiyin brought up this subject. The Xie Clan had
abolished his cultivation, but only Bai Qiyun was unaware of this.
Bai Qiyin saw their peculiar behavior, especially when he saw that his Dao Companion was averting his
gaze.
He was indirectly ridiculed by Jin Baihua, who despises him intensely. “Why don’t you attempt to feel if
there is qi inside your body? Perhaps there isn’t anything like that in your body anymore. Hmp!”
The instant Jin Baihua brought up this subject, Zero moved. The Bai Lengshui Sect’s members are all
aware of Bai Qiyin’s obsession with cultivation. Bai Qiyin would undoubtedly not be able to handle it if
he suddenly lost it like this.
“You aren’t that lousy at appearing to be kind, but right now is not the correct moment for you to spout
things,” Zero says as he pushes Jin Baihua in rage. nov𝑬𝐥𝓤𝑠𝑩dot𝕔\o/𝑀
“Daoist Jin Baihua! Please shut up!” said Yun Huaxia as he lost a bit of his temper.
With a warning in his eyes, the First Young Master of the Yun Family turned to face Jin Baihua.
His eyes are filled with disappointment and a little bit of contempt. When he looked back, he noticed his
Dao Companion staring at him as if he had just heard something unbelievable. Bai Qiyin made an effort
to quickly comprehend what Jin Baihua had just spoken by trying to feel the qi in his body and as
expected it resulted in something worse. Then they overheard the Bai Lengshui Sect heir murmuring.
Bai Qiyin murmurs, “I can no longer cultivate. B-But why me? What... What did I do wrong? My family is
dead and my sect is destroyed. Without my cultivation can I still be the heir? Can I still be worthy of
being Brother Hua’s Dao Companion?”
He had tears streaming from his eyes and appeared to have given up all hope in the world. For Bai Qiyin,
his cultivation has been a source of support throughout his life. It is a link to his beloved and the sole
means by which he may get back what his family had lost. However, now that he had even lost his
cultivation, Bai Qiyin felt that nothing else was worth anything to him.
Yun Huaxua was frightened at seeing his sweetheart act in this manner. He was aware of his Yin’er’s
ardent enthusiasm for cultivation. The First Young Master Yun, however, disagrees. He likes his Yin’er
because he is himself, not because he is a cultivator.
Yun Huaxia speaks, “Yin’er! Listen to me, please. Don’t think like that. How can you say that you aren’t
worthy of me? I don’t like you because of the Bai Bloodline or because you are a cultivator. I love you
because you are Bai Qiyin. Please believe me. I will never abandon you. We can look for anyone who can
cure you. Maybe A’Wuan can cure you. He is a divine doctor after all. Believe in us. Believe in me. Yin’er
I will never abandon you.”
“No. That may be true for now. But if my cultivation can never return then... I myself cannot accept that
I am worthy of you. I can’t bear to drag you down with me...” said Bai Qiyin as his tears kept falling.
Just consider the fact that Yun Huaxia would never age and he would instead become a mortal, only
being able to live to the age of 100 and aging slowly. Just imagining how much different the two of them
are would prevent Bai Qiyin from being able to live that way with his Dao Companion. If he no longer
had a dao in him, would he, Bai Qiyin, still be worthy to be called as Yun Huaxia’s Dao Companion?
Chapter 844 14.120 Last Violet Star – (Past) A Vow between Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia
Despite being the Bai Lengshui Sect’s successor by birth, Bai Qiyin felt a little less confident than the
rest. This is due to the fact that he has already witnessed the best of the best. an ideal being. One who
was endowed by birth with exceptional talent, intelligence, and charm. His older brother, Bai Wuan, is
the only person who, in his opinion, is perfect.
His parents and other sect leaders treat his elder brother with the utmost reverence. It wasn’t because
of his extraordinary abilities; rather, it was because of his otherworldly temperament, which didn’t
match his mortal self. If his older brother ever revealed to him that he was immortal, he wouldn’t be
shocked.
Bai Qiyin was raised observing Bai Wuan up to the present timeline and was aware that his elder brother
could occasionally be enigmatic. He was extremely knowledgeable as if his wisdom did not even exist in
their realm. There is a solemn yet magnificent air about him that permeates the area. This is comparable
to encountering the most majestic monarch, which looks down upon the earth with aloofness and
indifference.
The older brother of Bai Qiyin serves as his role model. A being that wasn’t intended to exist in their
ordinary world. As a result, he was frequently compared to his older brother by others. Compared to Bai
Wuan, he has the appearance of someone who was born with all the imperfections in the world. He has
a very poor sense of self-worth as a result. However, despite having slower and lesser cultivation than
his older brother, he never encountered any obstacles or barriers during his training. This is because Bai
Wuan could always be counted on to stand by him and his sister.
People are unique individuals. No one would be the same as another, as his older brother used to
remark. That each individual has a unique set of skills and talents. You don’t need to be concerned with
what other people think of you. Never did they get to pick your fate or how things would turn out. The
end you would have is entirely up to you. He and Lili would frequently hear these from his older brother.
Considering that he was aware that, despite his warnings, he could never prevent people from speaking
behind his back. His older brother never showed those people any affection as a result. They weren’t his
loved ones or relatives.
For Bai Qiyin, cultivation is enjoyable. Every time he gains strength and feels himself becoming stronger,
he is happier. These are accomplishments that can make Bai Qiyin proud, in his opinion.
In addition, even if he felt powerless, his older brother would be there to mentor and assist him. It was a
means of communication between him and his older brother.
Bai Qiyin grew up hearing the tales Bai Wuan concocted based on his encounters in the alternate reality
he had previously lived in. Bai Qiyin had cherished hearing about his exploits. He really appreciates the
phrase “Other Half.” This is a being or somebody that is present just to make one feel whole. A person
who would show you a different kind of affection from what your parents and siblings have shown you.
More than your buddies do, support you. Giving that one individual access to everything. Coexisting and
actually dying with you. Someone unique was crafted only for you. An Other Half is a soulmate who
exists solely for the reason you live.
A cultivator who promised to follow the dao of immortality with you is referred to as a Dao Companion.
Fighting for the same cause and sticking together as a supporter who will be with you to your peak and
hardship.
.....
Bai Qiyin no longer understood what Dao Companion meant since he lost his cultivation. He isn’t even
Yun Huaxia’s official Dao Companion, much less his other half who will live with him through good times
and bad.
Although Bai Qiyin fights in Yun Huaxia’s embrace, there is just too much power between a common
person and a cultivator. Bai Qiyin became even more enraged by the fact that he was unable to even
shove the man aside as previously. He eventually gave up, his tears continuing to flow, this time landing
squarely on Yun Huaxia’s face, leaving the latter helpless as to what to do.
“Please let me go. I want to be alone right now,” said Bai Qiyin.
The unexpected rejection from his sweetheart saddened Yun Huaxia. Despite the fact that he was aware
of his intentions. He was still in bewilderment that his beloved had such poor self-esteem. But Yun
Huaxia may partially comprehend when he contemplates Bai Wuan’s childhood with Bai Qiyin. He also
saw his younger sibling gradually catch up to and exceed him. Although the birth differences in skill
seem unjust, there is nothing anybody can do about it but accept what they are born with.
Yun Xiajie, his younger brother, shared Bai Wuan’s lack of interest in the heirloom. Yun Xiajie, who was
born a few years later and matched his talent and fortitude, had the same right as himself to succeed as
the head of their Sect. Unluckily, Yun Xiajie was only interested in cultivating. The only anomaly in his life
was the existence of Bai Wuan. His aloofness and disinterest in this individual had already subsided after
just meeting him. As though his cultivation was far less significant than meeting Bai Wuan, which was
the only reason he was even alive.
He views Bai Qiyin’s existence as being similar to that of his younger brother and looks at Bai Wuan. his
beloved is the only one who has ever been able to totally penetrate and occupy his heart. He would in
no way abandon him due to the distinction between having a qi and not. He has nothing more to adore
about Bai Qiyin than how he is.
Bai Qiyin was permitted to leave by Yun Huaxia, but he held onto his hands the entire time,
contradicting his thoughts. Despite such reassurance, the former still felt uneasy about this and
attempted to draw his hands back. Yun Huaxia unexpectedly kneels before the Heir of the Bai Clan even
preventing the latter from finishing speaking. Even Zero and Jin Baihua, who were quietly observing
them from the corner, were startled in addition to Bai Qiyin.
With a trembling voice, Bai Qiyin says, “W-What are you... doing?! Stand up! Don’t kneel!!!”
This time, Yun Huaxia paid little attention to his lover’s remarks and instead simply fixed a serious
expression in Bai Qiyin’s eyes. Because of this, the latter refrained from saying the remainder of what he
had to say and turned away from the stubborn man.
The First Young Master Yun says, “If you can’t believe yourself. That’s okay with me. If you can’t
cultivate. I don’t care at all. But if you want to leave then... That I can never accept. Since you don’t
believe my feelings for you then I shall make a vow to the heavens!”
“Stop! What... What are you planning to do?!” remarked Bai Qiyin as he panicked that Yun Huaxia might
say something he could never take back. A pledge with the heavenly laws as a witness cannot be
revoked. Breaking it means getting punished by the heavens itself.
Bai Qiyin attempted to free his hands from his lover’s grip in order to stop Yun Huaxia but was unable to
do so. Jin Baihua tried to become involved, but Zero grabbed him and blocked him in his tracks. The Heir
of the Lan Zhuayun Sect made a vow to the gods that he would never be able to retract. It would be
better if he pledged to support his little lord through life and death. It’s all for the benefit of the family
of his Lord. His master would be happier the better their outcome was.
“I vow with the heavens as a witness. I will only love Bai Qiyin and no one else. He will be my companion
in dao and in life. His life shall be connected to mine. I shall stay by his side for better or for worse. Not
even death shall pull us apart. If I, Yun Huaxia, break this oath, let the heavenly lightning fall on me.
Destroy my body and burn my soul. Not being allowed to be reborn ever again!”
He completed his pledge, and the heavens had witnessed and acknowledged it. After making this vow, a
warning rumbling could be heard from the sky, and Yun Huaxia’s forehead was marked by divine
lightning. The shape of lightning was left behind as if it had left a physical mark on him.
Stunned, Zero mumbled, “The Imprint of the Heavenly Laws. His oath was accepted and can never be
revoked. If he does not only his physical body would perish even his soul would be completely
obliterated. Not being able to reincarnate ever again.”
The conclusion and Yun Huaxia’s resolve stunned everyone. Even Bai Qiyin, who attempted to reject his
Dao Companionship with Yun Huaxia, collapsed and eventually took a seat on the ground as the latter
continued to assist him.
Astonished, Bai Qiyin says, “H-How...? Why?... I am just a mortal right now! How can you make a vow
like that!? If I decided to leave you and rejected you, what can you do? Leave for eternity and die with
him because of a pledge? What about your younger brother? Your sect? Your family?”
Bai Qiyin wants to keep berating his foolish sweetheart. Even though they weren’t yet a dao companion,
this fool made such an oath. Yun Huaxia is still not permitted to seek another dao partner even if he
decides not to be his. Even if he rejects him, Yun Huaxia can only love him and him alone in this world.
This is a result of the unilateral oath he took on his own.
His hand is held by Yun Huaxia, who then kisses it. The latter was able to detect his trembling as well as
his underlying anxiety. His lover genuinely didn’t want to part with Bai Qiyin.
“The oath is my decision. I will follow through with it regardless of your decision. Even so I... I wish you
would still choose to stay by my side. Yin’er, I’m begging you. Please do leave me. Let’s find a way to
make you able to cultivate again. Let A’Wuan check first. If he cannot treat it I am willing to go on a
journey to find a cure for you. If in the end we still failed then... I, Yun Huaxia, am willing to die with you
as a mortal. I will abolish my cultivation as well and live as a mortal with you. Staying only by your side
until the end. Yin’er, don’t leave me alone. I can’t live without you.”
Speechless, Bai Qiyin was unable to speak. What a sincere confession. He was unable to contest Yun
Huaxia’s affection and devotion for him. He was soothed and enraged by the oath alone. He was now
much more terrified that the fool in front of him would likewise give up cultivation and turn mortal with
him.
“With that plea, if I cannot regain my cultivation you can only live with at most 70 years. If I die you will
also die.”
“Accompany, my ass! You are stupid. Idiot! Moron! How can you make such an oath!? You can never
take it back!”
“I have no plans on taking it back. Though I am not afraid of death, I will never break my vow with you.
We shall live and die together.”
Hearing this, Bai Qiyin stared at Yun Huaxia with a serious expression on his face. He had completely
calmed down. Yun Huaxia noticed all his changes as well as he kept his eyes on his face.
nov𝐄𝓛𝑢𝓈𝐁dot𝐜/o\𝚖
Yun Huaxia briefly hesitated before complying with the request after noticing his lover’s serious
expression in the sapphire eyes that were staring back at him. As soon as he released his grip, Bai Qiyin
took hold of his hands. He made a promise to the heavens similar to Yun Huaxia.
“I, Bai Qiyin, make an oath with the heavens. In this world, I shall only love one person until the end of
my life. This life, his body and the soul in me, everything would be given to my chosen other half, Yun
Huaxia. In life, I shall accompany him and in death, we shall still be as one. If I ever break this oath there
is no need for me to ever exist. I wish for the heavens to be my witness as well.”
Analogous to what occurred to Yin Huaxia. On Bai Qiyin’s forehead, an impression appeared. Lightning
left its mark in the air. It resembled the one on Yun Huaxia’s forehead in form. Yun Huaxia, seeing this,
was unable to contain his happiness. He gave his partner a forehead kiss while grinning as if he had the
world in the palm of his hands. The two were smiling because the pledges they took were essentially the
same as those made during the Dao Companionship ritual, which was seen by heaven.
An eternal commitment oath. One that is unbreakable excluding one who actively seeks death.
Chapter 845 14.121 Last Violet Star – (Past) Return and Report
Zero and Jin Baihua responded differently after seeing Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia declare a Heavenly
Oath. While the latter, Jin Baihua was so overcome with astonishment and denial that his face grew
pale, the former, Zero believed that everything had turned out great. Even if Jin Baihua greatly admires
the person who chose to marry the person he despises the most, he was powerless to stop them.
“Though I should have stopped you,” Zero said, “You are both insane. The vows you made are not even
different from a real Dao Ceremony. But this is the only way for the little lord to calm down. Though let
me offer you a warning...”
Zero said, “Prepared to get scolded for a few days when Lord Bai learned about this. I mean as a Divine
Doctor do you believe he cannot cure abolished cultivation? When I first met the lord I only had hands
and both my legs were cut off. My cultivation was abolished and I was begging as a beggar in some alley
in my village. Lord Bai was the one who cured me.”
Snort!
“Little Lord’s carelessness really had no cure. Lord Yun had a lot of things to bear all his life,”
commented Zero.
Smiling, Yun Huaxia proudly said, “I am willing. So there shouldn’t be any problems.”
“Either way, you should still prepare. An enraged Lord Bai is terrifying. Little Lord should know...” said
Zero.
The things Zero had just said had been thoroughly absorbed by Bai Qiyin by the time he had calmed
down. He couldn’t help but tremble as he closely embraced Yun Huaxia as he pondered the day when he
had offended his older brother in the past and had been punished by being thrown at an array and
locked in there for a few days until his father finally got him out.
.....
Bai Qiyin says, “Brother Hua, don’t worry. Even if we were thrown off a cliff by my brother I will always
be with you!”
“... Okay?” said Yun Huaxia with slight confusion on his face. He hasn’t seen a fierce Bai Wuan in his life.
The four of them start their return trip to the Lan Zhuayan Sect after a little period of respite.
The elders of the group greeted them when they had safely arrived. After successfully completing his
task of escorting Bai Qiyin and Yun Huaxia to safety, Zero plans to part ways with them.
Yun Huaxia said to Zero, “Zero, don’t you want to rest inside for a while?”
“No need, Lord Yun. I must return to the Xie Clan’s Territory and support the Lord. Now that this servant
had safely escorted the two lords home my mission is finished,” said Zero.
After accomplishing the oath that involves his little lord, Zero had begun treating Yun Huaxia as one of
his lords. He and the little lord were officially dao companions because of the commitment they had
made together. As a son-in-law, Yun Huaxia is now regarded as a member of the Bai Clan as a half-
family.
“Of course. My life is for his life to remain safe. I shall do everything in my honor to keep the Lord alive.
This I promise to the Little Lord,” said Zero.
Bai Qiyin said, “Thank you very much.” He even bowed his head together with Yun Huaxia.
“Yes. It is easier for me to move on my own,” said Zero as he suddenly approached Yun Huaxia and
whispered something to him.
Yun Huaxia blinked for a second before nodding in the direction of Zero after hearing what the latter
had whispered. Only then did Zero get ready to depart and turn around without saying a few words to
the others. Zero walked a short distance under every one’s observation before abruptly dissipating into
thin air.
The Great Elder, Yun Xiayu said, “This person is very strong. He should be at least a Golden Core
Cultivator who is about to reach the threshold of Nascent Soul. Is he a person that serves A’Wuan?”
“Yes, Uncle. He is indeed strong. He and his friends were the ones who saved us and brought us out of
the prison,” said Yun Huaxia.
Yun Xiayu says, “This we know. A’Wuan informed us about this before. Forget it. You guys should go in
and take a rest, especially A’Ying.”
“Thank you, Uncle (Yun)!” said Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin.
Yun Huaxia smiled as he turned to face Jin Baihua, who appeared to be attempting to disappear into the
background. nov𝓮𝓵𝓊𝑠𝗯/𝓬/o\𝓂
The First Young Master Yun nodded as warmly as usual and asked, “How about you, Daoist Bai Huayu?
What are your future plans? Would you want to stay in the sect for a little while as a guest?”
But only Bai Qiyin and the Great Elder recognized that something is wrong with him, however, they
didn’t say anything about his behavior while giving him a scrutinizing gaze.
“There is no need for him. Since he had already gotten out thanks to us, maybe it was time for him to go
back to where he came from. Moreover, his acupoints had been unsealed already. He can handle
himself already. Hmp!” Bai Qiyin sneered while glancing at Jin Baihua whom he generally hates a lot.
Just because of the disgusting eyes he uses when looking at his lover.
“Yin’er...”
Yun Huaxia seems to have reprimanded Bai Qiyin while in reality indulging him. He then smiled broadly
as he turned to face Jin Baihua in an effort to terminate their argument.
“No need to regard the remarks of Yin’er. He doesn’t mean any harm. You could be a guest if you desire
to remain for a time,” remarked the First Young Master of Yun.
When Jin Baihua observed Bai Qiyin’s behavior toward him, he scowled secretly. The moment he
publicly declared his passion for Yun Huaxia, this guy began to make life difficult for himself.
“Yin’er!”
“Why are you still protecting him? Fine! Protect him all you want! I’m going to ignore you!” said Bai
Qiyin as he stepped away from his lover and took his strides towards the Sect ignoring his Dao
Companion.
In this scenario, the Great Elder could only shake his head hopelessly. He then accompanied Bai Qiyin
back into the Sect. When his fiancé departed in a rage, Yun Huaxia pretended to want to follow him but
still remembered Jin Baihua. In his storage, he dug up a visitor token and presented it to Jin Baihua.
The First Young Master Yun left behind his guest after explaining his words and ran off to chase after his
lover. On the other hand, Jin Baihua who received the token from Yun Huaxia himself was extremely
happy.
“A token from Senior Brother Yun. As expected he is different from the rest. I’ll clean up myself first in
some inn in the city before officially visiting the Lan Zhuayan Sect or it would embarrassing to enter
looking like this as Senior Brother Yun’s guest. I can’t embarrass him further.” mumbled Jin Baihua.
Jin Baihua didn’t go till after that and then he went to the town. Even what transpired after he went was
unknown to him. Bai Qiyin and Great Elder Yun Xiayu were waiting for Yun Huaxia to arrive at the Sect.
Apparently, Bai Qiyin, Yun Huaxia, and the other two were only acting at the time when they treated Jin
Baihua with open dislike.
The Great Elder asked, “Did you successfully give the token with an imprint in it?”
Bai Qiyin said, “Zero keeps mentioning him along the way. Obviously, he always reminds them to be
careful and wary of Jin Baihua. Zero doesn’t trust him at all. I don’t either!”
“Okay, darling. I will keep an eye on the tracker. Why don’t we take a bath and rest while waiting for the
news of others?” said Bai Qiyin.
Yun Xiayu the Great Elder says, “Don’t worry about the rest. With A’Wuan and Jieye leading them, there
is no way nothing would happen. Just focus on the devil imprisoned in our sect. Those things cannot be
let out no matter what.”
Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin nod in accord with the elder’s observations. Suddenly the heir of the Bai Clan
started paying attention to something, he recalled receiving the amulet from his older brother. But is
now an ordinary mortal, this amulet can only be activated by qi which is currently now usable by him. He
decided to lend to his beloved. This snowflake-shaped necklace amulet that had been dangling around
his neck.
“Keep this with you, Brother Hua. You already know how to use it. As for my current situation at the
moment, keeping it with me would make the amulet useless. It is better if you can use it to protect the
sect,” said Bai Qiyin with a smile.
The type of amulet Bai Qiyin had given his nephew was recognized by the Great Elder. He had seen it
several times and had even been gifted an identical artifact from the same creator of this amulet in front
of them. The necklace around Yun Huaxia, however, is unique in that it may be utilized several times,
making it valuable. Unlike the ones he received which can only be used one time.
“Huaye, don’t lose it. That amulet around your neck cannot be bought with money,” said Yun Xiayu.
The Great Elder pats the shoulders of these two young men with relief and joy in his eyes.
“Thank god, you both are safe. When we were helpless that time when they took you guys away, we
elders regret it so much. We should have bet everything to keep you safe that time,” said Yun Xiayu.
Bai Qiyin said, “Uncle Yun, we don’t mind. If doing so can keep the whole Lan Zhuayan Sect in exchange
for us, I and Brother Hua are willing. We are more worried about Father Yun. Is he alright?”
When the Sect Elder of the Yun Clan was named, the Great Elder fell quiet. Yun Xiayu is aware that if his
brother’s condition spreads, the Sect would be seen as the enemy of the entire species especially if that
creature got involved. Because of this reason, he can’t openly retell what happened in public.
A stern Yun Xiayu spoke, “Come with me if you wish to meet the Sect Master. But what you see must be
kept secret. We will tell you what happened before you got back. Follow me.”
The two gave the Great Elder a nod before following him to the Sect’s Main Peak. He presently resides
together with his brother because the Sect Master’s current courtyard is utilized to be a prison for that
evil thing. At the courtyard of the Great Elder, Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin immediately understood what
was happening when they saw the condition in which Sect Master Yun was in. They were astounded by
the scene before their eyes. This is a transparent shape devoid of a vessel. Just a simple spirit that exists
in the real world.
“Calm down you two. Come and sit with us inside the house. We need a lot of time for us to tell you
everything that happened,” said Sect Master Yun with a smile
The four of them had gathered in the Great Elder’s home. The two elders told everything about what
happened in the sect while held captive in the Xie Clan’s Territory.
However, the force led by the Sect Alliance made it to their destination in the end. They had just
completed planning their battle strategy and escape route as the sun was setting. While his Lord is
preoccupied, Zero who teleported independently arrived a while ago.
Zero was just able to provide an update on the rescue mission they had carried out this morning earlier
today. He told his lord everything without holding anything back, even the little lord’s current condition.
While listening to Zero’s report, Bai Wuan was eating supper with his lover. The sound of something
shattering can be heard in the midst of the report.
Crack!
Yun Xiajie turned to look at the source of the noise and discovered his beloved sitting there with a
broken chopstick in his hands and a grim expression on his gorgeous face. Even Zero jolted at the sound
out of the blue. In such a circumstance, only Yun Xiajie remained composed.
Sigh~ Yun Xiajie helps his lover open his gripped hand in a fight holding the bend and broken wooden
stick which used to be chopsticks used for eating.
The Second Young Master Yun assisted Bai Wuan to look for a substitute for the chopsticks or whether
there would be anything to use for dining after removing the broken sticks from his lover’s closed hand.
They are now having their dinner when the report from Zero was made.
The Second Young Master Yun said, “No talking as we eat. Do the rest of the business after eating,
Jing’er.”
Sigh~
Bai Wuan ordered Zero, “Wait at the side. Continue the report after we eat.” Instead of responding,
Zero saluted the two individuals in front of him, who then vanished into the dark.
Chapter 846 14.122 Last Violet Star – (Past) Before the War
The Xie Clan’s property is located in a secret valley between the south and west, not far from the capital
city. However, it is difficult to penetrate their land since it was full of traps and illusory pathways that
trapped and instantly killed outsiders. While optimizing the safe routes in their memories and creating
blueprints of them, the individuals who serve Bai Wuan gradually removed all of those traps and
formations.
It was Bai Wuan who made things simple for the alliance since he had been looking into the Xie Clan
ever since he heard that their ancestor had established a cultivation stage of a Nascent Soul, who was
rumored to be the Mortal Realm’s strongest cultivator. He only looked into this clan because of the
potential risk it posed to his desired outcome of carrying out a trial in this realm, and as Bai Wuan had
prophesied, this individual, Xie Gui, was truly a member of the Devil Race, which he had to exterminate
for the trial.
Unfortunately, this individual is nothing more than a scapegoat. The devil exploited Xie Gui as
camouflage and as bait for everyone else in the mortal realm, including Bai Wuan, so he wouldn’t be
caught. But no one anticipated that the Devil’s chosen vessel would be none other than Sect Master
Yun. Thankfully, the devil revealed itself when Xie Gui came into the Lan Zhuayan Sect.
They were fortunate in that the original soul of the vessel wasn’t fully consumed and that Bai Wuan was
able to save Sect Master Yun just in time. Since his soul was rescued, he should at the very least be able
to undergo reincarnation.
Currently, Bai Wuan and Yun Xiajie are in charge of the Sect Alliance cultivators, which consist of four
major sects. They ultimately came to the decision to besiege the Xie Clan with the goal of annihilating
them, with the assistance of Lu Yi and Jin Shiyan. They had set up camp near the Xie Clan’s boundaries in
anticipation of the attack’s arrival at the ideal moment.
After successfully completing his mission to escort Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin to safety, Zero, the head of
the covert espionage group under Bai Wuan’s command, arrived that evening. He immediately informed
his lord of all that occurred. Bai Wuan was given a detailed account of everything that took place
throughout the expedition. So when he eventually heard that the Xie Clan had barred Bai Qiyin, the
younger brother of Bai Wuan, from cultivating, he was finally incensed at the offender.
“The brothers in his group learned that Xie Gui was responsible after he had already gone insane and
begun to despise the shade of silver. He now wants to kill anybody with silver hair or eyes,” reported
Zero.
.....
Bai Wuan’s gorgeous beauty flashed an angelic charm. It gave him the appearance of a heavenly
creature who was radiating grace and holiness. However, Zero was so frightened by this look on him
that he couldn’t stop shaking in the presence of those argent eyes. They had known this lord of theirs
long enough to be familiar with his personality.
His anger increases in proportion to how dazzling his smile is. On the other hand, Yun Xiajie was
accustomed to it. He would always find his lover to be beautiful in his eyes, whether he was grinning out
of delight or rage. Upon seeing this, Yun Xiajie couldn’t help but want to indulge his lover even more.
“What would you want to do, Jing’er?” The Second Young Master Yun enquired.
Bai Wuan’s tone grew frigid, and Zero flinched in horror as he added, “I want his soul to suffer for all
eternity.”
Yun Xiajie kept his cool and stated, “I’ll beat him up and take his soul away, but I don’t have anything
that can seize someone’s soul.”
A white orb materialized in Bai Wuan’s palm as soon as he touched his snowflake earrings. He handed
Yun Xiajie this object, which has the appearance of a crystal ball with something within, and added,
“A’Xia, will you kindly pour Hellfire into this?”
“Um.”
Yun Xiajie managed his fire elements and poured black flames into the crystal ball. The Second Young
Master’s hell flames flood the interior of the crystal as if it were another dimension, it accepted the
flames without problems. Bai Wuan then put some eternal ice on the areas where the hellfire couldn’t
reach. The crystal ball created an interior image that was half ice and half fire in a matter of minutes.
When he saw this, Bai Wuan exclaimed, “It succeeded! Here, a portable soul prison. A’Xia. I will also lend
you Juedi.”
“Yes, Father Yun’s soul was taken away by me in the past. I had intended to take the devil’s soul first,
but Father Yun can no longer utilize the vessel since it has long been polluted by death qi. It is preferable
if he stays in the reincarnation pool and rebuilds his physical body.”
Yun Xiajie asked, “But before that, we must kill the devil first and bury father’s original vessel?”
Bai Wuan nodded in response to the Second Young Master Yun’s question and was no longer furious as
before. He is now engaging in their customary flirtation with his sweetheart. Zero felt forgotten the
entire time and was being fed unending dog food to bear on his own. He was about to start weeping.
Yun Xiajie began to shake the crystal ball that his beloved had placed in his hands while displaying an
indifferent facial expression.
Yun Xiajie questioned, “If you ascend this time... How long do you need to return back?” He understood
that when the devil is destroyed his beloved must return to where he came from.
Bai Wuan thought for a while and said, “Actually, I think you are supposed to come back with me. Hm~
we will only know when we got there I think.”
Sigh~
Yun Xiajie continued to flirt with Bai Wuan while concealing the crystal ball in his storage ring. “If I can
go with you, that’s better,” he replied.
Their romantic moment was abruptly interrupted when Lu Yi and Jin Shiyan walked in to discuss their
strategy, which would be put into action after a certain time had been invested in preparation.
As he waited for his next mission, Zero stood behind his lord and appeared to be a subordinate.
“You two are too devoted to one other,” Lu Yi bemoans. “Even Jin Shiyan wasn’t like that with his
fiancée when they were out in the open like this.”
Bai Wuan’s remark that Lu Yi was a lonely old dog infuriated the latter. It may be stated that he is the
sole member of his generation who hasn’t found a partner but that wasn’t his fault. He just didn’t have a
partner. Meanwhile, Yun Huaxia of the same generation had already fulfilled his vows to Bai Qiyin. Bai
Wuan and Yun Xiajie have always been a shameless couple, while Jin Shiyan and Bai Lili will soon be
wed. In their generation, only the Lu brothers continued to be single.
“Who said I’m lonely? This old man is busy taking care of the brat at home,” Lu Yi said indignantly.
Bai Wuan teased, “You wouldn’t... don’t tell me... you like Lu Tian? Dude, that’s incest!”
At this point, Lu Yi was keeping his rage inside while seeming like a fried shrimp. Even though he is
accustomed to Bai Wuan’s mocking, he still finds it bothersome.
“Incest, your ass!”
Jin Shiyan said, “Please don’t shout. We will get noticed by the enemies.”
Bai Wuan said, “I’ve placed a noise canceling effect in the illusion formation around the camp. No one
will notice us here unless the formation is broken.”
“Brat, you are still not used to A’Wuan’s preparations. He wouldn’t make a simple mistake such as that.
Either way, let’s talk about what to do first?” said Lu Yi.
Bai Wuan said as he leaned his head on Yun Xiajie’s shoulder and played with their intertwined fingers,
“No need for plans. I and A’Xia will focus on Xie Gui and the Xie Elders at Peak Golden Core. As for the
rest you two should handle it with my subordinates.”
Lu Yi, Jin Shiyan, and Bai Wuan did not object when they heard this idea. In the end, they lack the
strength to combat Peak Golden Core Cultivators. Jin Shiyan is in Early Golden Core Stage whereas Lu Yi
is only at Mid-Golden Core. At least five Peak Golden Core should be present on the side of the enemies
when Xie Gui, a Nascent Soul Cultivator, is leading. The only ones who can compete with them are Bai
Wuan and Yun Xiajie who also reached the Nascent Soul Stage.
When Lu Yi turned to look at Zero, he could see that he was at least on the same stage as him and was
standing behind Bei Wuan. He thought the man may be much more powerful.
Zero glanced at his lord who gestured that he is allowed to speak and responded to Lu Yi, “They are
hiding within the group of the Xie Clan. We can use them as a surprise attack against the Xie Clan.”
“Wow~ you guys are bold! Aren’t you afraid that you’ll get caught?” asked Lu Yi in wonder.
Zero shook his head and replied, “We are not afraid of death.”
“As might be anticipated of your people, This man himself is fantastic and insane,” stated Lu Yi.
“I didn’t train them much. I merely gave them the information they wanted and needed to know,” Bai
Wuan retorted casually.
Lu Yi questioned, “Did the Bai Clan even know you had individuals like this under your command?”
“Of course. That’s why I had to teach another group which would be delivered to Qiqi when he became
the Sect Master of the Bai Lengshui Sect.” Bai Wuan said, “By the way, Shilu. How’s Lili?” He asked Shilu.
Jin Shiyan replies, “Lili chose to remain in the Capital, claiming that it was safer for her to do so. In
addition, she has to learn how to manage the business connections I’ve developed and seek a few fresh
recruits to join the Bai Lengshui Sect once Brother Wuan has rebuilt it.”
“After this conflict, I can concentrate on rebuilding the Bai Lengshui Sect and leave the disciple recruiting
to Lili, while Qiqi should begin managing the Sect on his own. Talk about it with Big Brother Yun. He will
have his Dao Ceremony with Qiqi jointly with you and Lili,” stated Bai Wuan.
What Bai Wuan claimed stunned everyone else besides Yun Xiajie. His younger siblings will marry before
he does.
“You want your siblings to hold their Dao Ceremonies before yours and Jieye, does that sound right?” Lu
Yi wondered.
“We will schedule our Dao Ceremony when everything has been resolved,” Bai Wuan remarked. “I and
A’Xia discussed this together.”
The word “everything” was stressed by him. There’s little doubt that everything here had a different
connotation than the Xie Clan or the devil held captive in the Lan Zhuayan Sect. When Lu Yi and Jin
Shiyan learn this, they decide against asking any further questions. In any case, they couldn’t coerce Bai
Wuan and Yun Xiajie into speaking.
Lu Yi snorted and said, “Well as long as you made your own plans. Just don’t forget to invite my Lu
Weifeng Sect.”
“I hope I get invited to your Dao Ceremony as well, Brother Wuan, Yun Jieye,” said Jin Shiyan.
“Brat, I will make sure to prepare a nice gift for your Dao Ceremony. I am sure to attend if my sworn
brother, Huaxia, would have his Dao Ceremony with you,” said Lu Yi.
“I will also send invitations to Senior Brother Lu and Brother Tian, of course. Hahaha,” Jin Shiyan said
with a smile that seemed to contain all the happiness in the world.
Before the battle, Lu Yi and Jin Shiyan were having a pleasant chat. Bai Wuan smiled a little as he gazed
tenderly at Yun Xiajie.
Bai Wuan suddenly inquired, “So~ Brother Wang, when will you be married?” He then began to tease
this irritable older Lu once again.
“No one will take you as dumb if you don’t speak. Stop teasing me!” screamed Lu Yi.
Everyone chuckled at his response, and a general sense of joy pervaded the camp. Evidently, the others
had overheard Bai Wuan teasing Lu Yi once more. On their trip here, this sight had already occurred
several times, and they were accustomed to it. This is the calmness before the storm.
Chapter 847 14.123 Last Violet Star – (Past) How strong is he?
During the prison break orchestrated by Zero and his squad, the majority of their inmates had fled.
The most crucial individual they needed to bring back had vanished, albeit other invaders and hostages
were slain while trying to flee.
The Clan Leader, Xie Gui, was informed of this information, and when he heard it, he fell into a frenzy
and immediately slaughtered his men. His fits of insanity had started occurring increasingly regularly.
Within the Xie Clan, killing scenes like this one, where victims were poisoned to death, were already
commonplace.
“I’ve instructed you to bring that youngster back no matter what! He still escaped? That implies you
didn’t execute your job well enough,” exclaims Xie Gui in a rage.
All of the other members of the Xie Clan had bowed their heads. All of them were terrified, but some of
them were also suppressing their rage. It was precisely them who elected this insane tyrant to rule their
Clan. They are forced to undergo the humiliation of receiving such a reprimand in silence. Xie Gui would
actually behave like a lunatic after he had entirely fallen victim to his inner demons. His temper had
become worse, and he would sometimes murder out of petty annoyance or fury. Few people are willing
to stay close to him because of this.
“In response to the Clan Leader’s inquiry, they had returned to the Lan Zhuayun Sect.”
“Bring that child back then and simply totally demolish that useless place! Lan Zhuayun Sect? Just that
area... It still wasn’t destroyed! Do I even need to order anything that basic?”
.....
“B-But Clan Leader... We’ve lost two elders as a result of the array formation surrounding that Sect
having been mended and strengthened to the point that we could not destroy it no matter what we do.”
“Is that so...? Doesn’t that just mean you are weak?” Sneered Xie Gui.
Upon hearing this news, Xie Gui frowns momentarily, but he doesn’t appear to be affected in any way by
the deaths of the two elders. It appeared as though he had lost all interest in the welfare of his people.
“That’s all you wanted to say... Clan Leader, we’ve many too many enemies. If they all attack at once
then we...”
BOOOM!!!
Loud explosions could be heard coming from outside the hall, stopping the Clansmen of Xie in their
tracks before they could finish their sentences.
“What is happening!?”
“That direction is from the gates of the Clan. Are there intruders!?”
Xie Gui sat on his Clan Leader’s throne and watched them with an uninterested expression while
everyone else in the Xie Clan was in turmoil about this situation. All he can see is the figure of the man
with the silver eyes staring down at him, this is his inner demon, and becomes detached from the clan
that possessed his bloodline. Ever since then, he had entirely lost interest in his clan and this caused his
eyes to seem to be disoriented as he could hardly distinguish between reality and his inner demons’
illusions.
Only he can hear the various voices that continue to echo in his ears. The voice that is most frequently
heard has a young man’s mischievous, cheeky tone.
A guard who was keeping an eye on the clan rushed into the hall to report what was happening.
“R-Reporting!!! The Sect Alliance composed of Lan Zhuayun, Lu Weifeng, Jin Tiangui, and Bai Lengshui
Sects had gathered and all attacked our Xie Clan together!”
The elders in the room were appalled and in a state of shock. They had finally experienced what they
had most feared. They intended to take over the capital and the royal family, gradually crush the major
sects one at a time, and then eventually reach out to the Upper Realms to become the most powerful
clan in the Mortal Realm.
However, their Clan Leader publicly attacked the four major sects and even exterminated the Bai
Lengshui Sect. They were able to quickly kill the Bai Lengshui Sect but were unable to do it with the
other three sects since it is an exclusive clan with few ties to the common people in the North
Territories. The other three Sects are different though.
The Lan Zhuayan Sect was known for being the most righteous. There are a lot of small clans or sects
who would willingly fight for them as they were known as upright cultivators who fought for the good of
everyone.
As for the Lu Clan, due to the fact that the majority of the members of the Lu Weifeng Sect were once
commoners, they enjoyed a strong relationship with the whole city.
The merchant clan was known as the Jin Tiangui Sect. It is extremely difficult to eliminate them because
they collaborated with renegade cultivators and had links to several mercenaries. Moreover, eliminating
them meant the downfall of the economy in this realm.
“There are four young men. The eldest lord of the Lu Clan, Lu Wang. The Heir of the Jin Tiangui Sect, Jin
Shiyan. The Second Young Master of Yun, Yun Jieye, and his Dao Companion, one of the few remnants of
the Bai Lengshui Sect. The Ice Demon, Bai Wuan!”
As the last name was pronounced, everyone in the corridor turned to face their clan head. This Bai
Wuan had grown to be one of their Lord’s obsessions ever since he had developed an inner demon
condition. The Ice Demon of the Bai Lengshui Sect, Bai Wuan, is said to have been born with dazzling
silver eyes that seem to be a physical incarnation of the moon and snow. Their Leader’s inner demons
were brought on by a man who also had silver eyes, thus Bai Wuan received his hatred rather than an
unidentified individual.
Hahaha~
The insane leader of the Xie Clan said, “Finally! You are here!” as he ran out of the hall to confront the
prey he had been waiting to see for so long. Only their Clan Leader could lead the others outdoors to
engage in war with the Sect Alliance.
Everyone had assembled in front of the Xie Clan’s entry gates once all war preparations were complete.
Before their own eyes, several of the Lu Yi-led troops carried out his orders and immediately smashed
the massive, ornate gate. Lu Yi was accompanied by Jin Shiyan and Zero. They decide to use the terrain
to attack. While they waited for the Great Ancestor of the Xie Clan to emerge, Bai Wuan and Yun Xiajie
flew all by themselves.
Lu Yi gave the order to kill everyone when the door was demolished. The suddenness of their onslaught
caught everyone in the Xie Clan off guard. There aren’t enough guards on duty, and the majority of them
were just hanging around and not doing their actual tasks. The guards who were the strongest were
merely at the foundation stage of peak establishment. Lu Yi and the others had no trouble killing their
way inside.
None of the others, even Lu Yi, showed pity. They spared no one, killing every Xie they encountered
along the route. similar to how these individuals had attacked their Sects at the time and harassed
them.
“Yes, Sir!”
Zero spoke, “I will move on my own here to contact my people. There is a group of Demonic Cultivators
that join the Xie Clan. Better make sure to burn all the corpses to ashes.”
“Leave it to me,” said Jin Shiyan as he took another group to clean up the corpses.
Zero vanished immediately after issuing a few more cautionary statements. On his own, he teleported
someplace.
They all decide to burn all the corpses to ashes listening to Zero’s warning. Half of the Xie Clan’s domain
was obliterated in a couple of minutes. They were under siege from all sides, and the majority of the
disciples and cultivators who had accompanied them had lost a friend, a relative, or a lover. As a result,
they were unable to contain their rage at this time and decided to get revenge on all of them.
They suddenly sensed an unidentified aura moving at them at a high rate of speed. Everyone knew Xie
Gui as soon as he made his arrival. He had a golden crown on his head and was dressed in a crimson and
black brocade robe. He used his sword to soar while looking down on the onlookers who had gathered
in front of his house. He watched as they destroyed his kin without showing any emotion and was
indifferent.
He scans his surroundings as though seeking someone or something. He lost his fury and started hearing
voices in his brain when he couldn’t find the person he wanted to visit.
“He is not here~”
“You didn’t have anything that could bring that person out. Why would he come and meet you?”
As a result of his inner demons, Xie Gui’s eyes gradually become bloodshot. In an effort to block out the
ringing in his ears, he shook his head. His mental state was most impacted by their voices, and he
eventually snapped.
Lu Yi and the others frowned as they all regarded him. They were under strain from his aura, which they
could sense. The coercion of Xie Gui impacted everyone who was a little weaker than Golden Core
Stage, but Lu Yi and Jin Shiyan worked together to repel the man’s aura. nov𝑬𝓵𝔲𝒮𝓑dot𝐜\o/𝑀
They all knew he was looking for Bai Wuan after hearing what the old monster of Xie Gui had stated. But
they also observed Xie Gui’s crimson eyes and the clear indications of Qi Deviation.
“Senior Brother Wang... His aura is strong but... why do I sense he is a bit lacking...?” Jin Shiyan said.
“His power has even dropped, at least to the early Nascent Soul Stage, and... His aura keeps growing
weaker, therefore the reports of him collapsing and being plagued by inner demons weren’t made up,”
stated Lu Yi.
Jin Shiyan asked, “Should we attack him with Brother Wuan and Yun Jieye?”
“No need. Our main focus was never his. In the first place. The Xie Clan’s elders are all coming up.
Prepare for battle,” said Lu Yi.
Xie Gui keeps scanning the skies in anticipation of the person who embodies his inner demons emerging.
But nobody came to greet him even after he yelled. He lost all control and lifted his blade, glaring at
everyone under him.
“Since you are not coming out then... These people that you’ve brought here must all perish beneath my
sword!” screamed a fully insane Xie Gui.
WHOOSHED!
KLANG!
As a Nascent Soul Cultivator, he circulated all of his qi while using his sword as a medium to channel
sword intent. Xie Gui’s target is none other than the Sect Alliance group under his foot. However, even
before his sword blow reached its intended target, the voice of Guqin reverberated over the whole
valley, nullifying it. He was met by Yun Xiajie, who was holding a pure black jade guqin in his left and a
sword in his right hand.
“The Second Child of Yun Huye! Stop interfering, where is your Dao Companion?!”
However, someone suddenly materialized from behind Xie Gui and kicked him away from the others
before he could even hear a response.
“I am here~” The owner of the voice is a young man in a white Taoist robe with long silver hair
streaming behind him and a set of silver eyes. He was grinning slyly from the corner of his mouth.
Directly teleporting behind Xie Gui and hurling him away from the main mansion where everyone is
fighting was Bai Wuan.
As he cursed Bai Wuan, Xie Gui was kicked away by the person he was looking for. The entire valley was
filled with the echo of his voice. Yun Xiajie nodded at his sweetheart and then pursued the man in
character. Although the image they saw startled everyone, Bai Wuan’s smiling persuaded them
differently.
Bai Wuan, “Brother Wang, we’ll leave things here for you and Shilu to handle.”
“Oh, before I forget,” said Bai Wuan as he scanned the surroundings and noticed a few elders at Peak
Golden Core from the Xie Clan. They were all staring at him while simultaneously being terrified. “You
old things ought to go, too.”
AHHH. AAAHHH...
An ice rain descended upon the Xie Clan elders with a wave of his hand taking their lives instantly.
Before leaving the area to chase after his husband, he hunts down those opponents that Lu Yi and Jin
Shiyan were unable to vanquish.
The others looked at one another after Bai Wuan had departed and could see the horror on their
features. They even found it hard to comprehend that Bai Wuan had just casually killed a few Elders of
the Xie Clan in front of them. Even minutes were needed to overcome them. He merely needs to wave
his hand to attack them once and finish them off.
“You can consider him and his Dao Companion the strongest in this realm... Continue the talk later.
Focus on the battle!” said Lu Yi.
.....
Chapter 848 14.124 Last Violet Star – (Past) Lao Hei and Xiao Bai.
After Zero snuck through the secret passages that connected to the hidden chamber under the Xie
Clan’s main mansion and his teammates’ auras can be felt coming from this direction. He moved away
from the battleground where Lu Yi and the others were engaged in combat and looked for the rest of his
men. He travels silently while avoiding making any noise in the dim passageway that connects to
somewhere.
Then Zero glanced at his own shadow where some of his teammates were hiding and said, “What is this
place? Why is our companions’ aura leading in this direction?” On his way here, he discovered them and
they followed him. “Are you certain this is where it was?”
“They definitely dragged our comrades’ bodies into this location. We didn’t dare to approach so closely
as we felt a strong aura of resentment coming from here.”
Zero says, “Then this might be the hidden hideout of the Demonic Cultivators that worked for the Xie
Clan. But how come they weren’t fighting above like the other Clansmen of Xie? They are so detached
from them...”
“Leader, actually I came here once. This place is weird and the strangest of all is the man that leads
them...”
.....
“Hm? What are you talking about?” asked Zero only to be surprised by the scene before him.
A red flower called Lycoris is in full bloom covering the whole area. Hidden within the cluster of red
flowers were corpses wearing full black robes. There was no smell of blood or decay on the corpses,
which were placed in a row in the garden of red spider lilies. Instead, they had the fragrant perfume of
lycoris. A man in white robes with white hair and blind eyes was standing in front of them.
He appears to be the living dead, although he is actually still alive. He exudes a deathly air despite not
being at all influenced by it. Yes, like meeting a ghost in broad light.
The blind man has a spectral appearance, yet he also seems kind and elegant. No one could dispute the
peculiar atmosphere of otherworldliness emanating from him, despite the fact that his look isn’t as
sophisticated as Lord Bai Wuan’s. It’s nothing like the domineering air Bai Wuan exhibited when he was
immortal. Instead, it was a sense of isolation and disconnection from the living. Yes, the somber vibe
that comes with being in a home that is haunted and full of spirits.
The blind man gazed in Zero’s direction as if he could see him there, his pupils white. When Zero stares
at this man, he can immediately sense the powerful aura of death and resentment on him. However,
this Demonic Cultivator was completely untouched by the negative energy, in contrast to the other
Demonic Cultivators who were. It is the same sensation as running across someone who was connected
to the afterlife. Zero had experienced this sensation just once before. It was the same feeling when he
first met Bai Wuan and thought that he wasn’t an ordinary person when he first saw him. A being
individual who doesn’t belong in this world. A person who is unaffected by anything in this life, not even
death.
The blind guy with white eyes asked, “Are you coming to pick them up? When I saw them, I knew that
they weren’t going to die like those other people who perished. Your souls are no longer linked in this
realm but rather in a place that is within reach yet so far away. You and the others who were hidden in
your shadows shared the same aura.”
A bit stunned Zero controlled his expression and remained his usual poker face while giving the blind
man a scrutinizing gaze, “Are you a member of Xie Gui?” Zero questioned. “Who are you?”
“Me? I’m someone without a name. Born without normal eyes but can see through this world more
clearly. You... are human yet not. You have a mortal’s body but your soul is free from the reins of the
dead. You can be revived however many times you want as long as that person whom you surrendered
your soul to is still alive, and you would be able to live forever.”
“Your people are different. They are like you, but not as well. Only you are able to bring them back to
life since their lives were in your hands.”
“You may call me Xiao Bai, but I am not associated with Xie Gui. I just followed my destiny and waited
here for that person to come to visit me.”
The blind guy known as Xiao Bai turned around and stopped looking at Zero. He did nothing but stand
there vulnerable with his back straight on them. Watching the Lycoris garden without saying anything
anymore. Zero received the impression that this individual had been waiting for him to pick up his
group. After all, his people make up the sole corpses in his garden. Sadly, he wasn’t the person he had
been looking for.
In order to awaken his comrades, Zero moved toward the red spider lily garden. When Bai Wuan picked
them up, he bestowed on them the gift of immortality. While his brothers submitted their souls to him,
he offered his to his lord. They could be revived as long as he is still alive, and Zero would live forever as
long as Bai Wuan does.
Their names were now listed in the book of the registry that serves King Wuan rather than in the
archives of the underworld. Their Lord is an Immortal from the Upper Realm, something they have
already known. They would continue to exist in the underworld once he returns there and they would
live there in order to govern and maintain the realm of the dead.
Once Zero’s qi had invaded his subordinates’ bodies, they started shaking as if they weren’t dead
corpses at all. The qi of Zero is a catalyst to wake them up, the moment they woke up, their wounds
vanished completely. Even though they aren’t alive, they weren’t all that different from the living. They
had been ghosts who had been reincarnated as underworld beings that only existed for the Underworld.
The dead bodies in the flower field began to awaken one by one. They even began to stretch, as if they
were accustomed to situations in which they would die and then resurrect.
“Did the little lord and his man safely returned to the Lan Zhuayun Sect?”
“Wow~ these are real flowers. For some reason, it is so relaxing here.”
Zero was standing next to the blind man, Xiao Bai. The latter did not interrupt or make any comment
regarding what was taking place in front of him. He may not have reacted since he is blind, but Zero was
aware that he is also capable of seeing other things.
“Are you the head of the Demonic Cultivation Cult?” Zero asked. “You knew I would be coming for these
brats and gathered them here right?”
“Yes, I created them. It is more like giving them a chance to be like a cultivator yet not at the same time.
There are disadvantages and I warned them about it. But in the end, most of them had still gone
insane,” explained Xiao Bai. “No, because I don’t lead them. They are free to do whatever they want.
The karma they would accumulate would be for them alone.”
“Are you able to glimpse the future?” Zero inquired once again. “Do you know who you’ve been waiting
for?”
The only thing Xiao Bai could see when he looked up above him was the cave’s stone ceiling. “I don’t see
anything specific—just a part of an unknown future. As for the one I’ve been waiting for, all I know is
that... He is a being unrestrained by the laws of heaven. Carefree and mischievous yet cruel and cold-
hearted. His eyes... are the embodiment of the moon.” However, Zero believes that this man can see the
sky from this location for some reason.
People who were close to Zero had a sense that they were familiar with the subject of the blind man’s
story. They were debating speaking out but decided to let their boss decide. After all, that Venerated
Being that saved them may be the one this blind guy really wished to see.
“I think I know who that man you were waiting for is. I can bring you to him after everything which
should be done in this place is over. Wait here for a while,” said Zero as he prepared to leave this place
with his people and looked for the Demonic Cultivators they were supposed to eliminate.
Neither did Xiao Bai agree to his statements nor did he attempt to stop them from leaving.
“Lao Hei is my name,” Zero said, before continuing to walk away without looking back. Before leading
his people away from that location, he gave the blind guy just a fleeting glance.
Xiao Bai observed Zero leaving as he walked away. Despite the fact that he is blind, his eyes can see
through him to his soul.
“A blazing pure black soul. It’s very lovely,” The blind man said as the Lycoris flowers before him started
shaking and changing into a human shape wearing pure white attire identical to that of Xiao Bai. “It is a
soul that meant death itself...”
They had to kneel down to Xiao Bai and show him respect. These entities were undoubtedly beings who
worked for the blind guy since they had always existed from the beginning.
“Master, are you going to come with them? They seem to know the being you had been looking for.”
“No, didn’t he say to wait here? He didn’t want us to get involved in the thing happening on the surface.
They would be finished soon and would come back afterward...” said Xiao Bai. “What do you think of
him?”
The blind guy questioned his subordinates about what they thought about Zero. They had been
observing the man ever since he entered their cave which is impossible even for the human clan that
lives above them is capable of. Even though they live underneath their house, the Xie Clan is unaware of
them.
“That person is strong. There is something in him that makes it hard for me to imagine him dying. He
isn’t like his people whose bodies would die once killed.”
“His body possesses the strongest unknown energy that grants him immortality. It is something that
wasn’t originally his but... He can use it whenever and wherever he wants to.”
“Moreover, that energy inside of him is similar to master but in a much fiercer form.”
“Yes, we possessed the same energy. But mine can only create a few things while he can directly erase
things. It felt weird as if we exist to complement each other,” remarked Xiao Bai.
“Master, aren’t we going to help them up there? What if that being is connected to those humans who
attacked the ones that live above us?”
“Well, good thinking. Make sure to keep those humans who just arrived alive but don’t let them see you.
If Lao Hei notices you, tell him I command it. He should understand,” said Xiao Bai. nov𝑒𝑙𝓤𝗌𝐁\𝓬\o/𝚖
The men in white standing in front of him bowed and exclaimed, “As you order, Master!” before
dispersing into the cave.
—-
In the meantime, Zero and his crew run across the group of Demonic Cultivators lurking in the rear of
the Xie Clan’s Mansion not far from the cave where Xiao Bai is. The backyard of the Main Mansion of the
Xie Clan is the sole exit from Xiao Bai’s cave. When one of Zero’s subordinates talked to his superior,
they had just completed destroying their adversaries.
“Boss, is it alright to let that blind man know about the Lord?”
“Let the Lord decide. He always likes interesting things the most. That man’s name Xiao Bai isn’t simple.
My instinct is telling me he is quite dangerous himself. That cave... I didn’t notice it at first when we
came in but when we went out it suddenly disappeared, didn’t you notice it,” said Zero. “Well. As long
as he wasn’t an enemy we should get along with them well. They have a similar presence like us after
all.”
“Yes, Boss!”
After the annihilation of the Demonic Cultivators in the rear, Zero and his team re-joined the squad that
was being led by Lu Yi and the others. They supported them as they fought the Xie Clansmen until none
of them remained. Sounds of flying and explosions may be heard not far from the Mansion. Clearly, the
fight against Xie Gui is not over yet.
In terms of what Zero and Xiao Bai will eventually become, they will be the White and Black
Impermanence that directly serves King Wuan and takes over control of the whole Underworld for him.
They sift the souls and assign their standing in accordance to their collected karmas and merits before
sending the souls to the Reincarnation Hall, which is governed by Bai Hua, the sister-in-law of King
Wuan, or to be tried in the Hall of Judiciary.
Chapter 849 14.125 Last Violet Star – (Past) End of the Xie Clan.
They hadn’t anticipated how quickly the dispute at the Xie Clan estate would be resolved. Things had
been simpler when Zero and his team joined the main group under the leadership of Lu Yi and Jin
Shiyan. They are also assisted in the battle by Xiao Bai’s men. Small mounds of dead bodies covered in
the Xie Clan’s robes were formed. To prevent a gathering of undead creatures, Jin Shiyan ordered the
burning of all the bodies.
Lu Yi was standing on the sidelines and observing the chaos. Even from where they are, two Nascent
Soul Cultivators can be sensed colliding. Every time the swords struck, they could feel the leftover sword
qi that two sword cultivators were producing, albeit it wasn’t as potent as being there in person. While
Jin Shiyan was concentrating on cleanliness, Zero was also watching him.
“Is Yun Jieye the only one who was facing that old monster?” Lu Yi wondered. “Looks like they won’t be
finished anytime soon.”
“The Clan Leader of Xie appears to want to fight with the Lord, but Lord Jieye isn’t letting him approach
at all,” Zero said, “The Lord is simply watching them battle.”
Lu Yi puzzled, “If they work together they should be able to kill him immediately away, why aren’t they
doing so?”
“Do you recall the crystal ball the Lord handed to Lord Jieye?” Zero said, “Maybe they wanted to do
something?”
“Don’t tell me they intended to capture Xie Gui’s soul?” Lu Yi said. “With that thing they called Soul
Prison. But why?”
Zero responds, “Because the Xie Clan destroyed the Bai Lengshui Sect and abolished Little Lord’s
cultivation.”
“Well, they reap what they sow. Ah, sigh! It’s just A’Wuan’s typical anger. Let them do whatever they
want. By the way, do you know the guys in white robes concealing their faces? They seemed to arrive
out of nowhere but helped us battle the Xie Clan. Are they also your men?” asked Lu Yi.
.....
Zero said, “No. But they aren’t enemies.” Passing a couple of pill bottles to Lu Yi as he gets ready to go.
As he inspected the many little jars that Zero had handed him, Lu Yi seemed bewildered. “What are
these?” he asked.
“Pills. You have injured men. Treat them and gather their bodies. Once the lords are back we don’t know
when we are going to leave,” said Zero.
Lu Yi says, “You have my thanks.”
“You’re welcome,” said Zero before he walked away to join his group and disappeared all together.
Nearby infrastructure was completely damaged. Sound waves and sword assault remnants are all over
the place, destroying the landscape. Nearly all of the trees in the forest under Xie Gui and Yun Xiajie
were uprooted, and the ground was littered with holes and slashes. This alone demonstrates how fierce
their battle was.
The fight between the two Nascent Soul Cultivators was fierce and put pressure on those whose
cultivation was below this stage. However, Yun Xiajie had the advantage since he was younger and had a
step or two higher strength than his opponent.
Mid-Nascent Soul Stage was Xie Gui’s initial stage. After years of battling inner demons, Xie Gui’s power
had deteriorated to Early Nascent Soul Stage, and they had just finished fighting for hours when Xie Gui
continued to suffer and saw a decline in his development. If Yun Xiajie’s fighting experience had been
more advanced than the former, Xie Gui would not have survived this long.
Xie Gui caused the chaotic respiration and the subsequent bloody cough. His blood dribbled from his
wounds, and his red and black brocade garments were riddled with sword wounds. As he glared at Yun
Xiajie, his chest began to sway violently. He was now gazing in particular at Bai Wuan, who was
observing the struggle with a bored yet amused grin on his face. Sadly, those two silver orbs never
struck Xie Gui; rather, they viewed the Second Young Master of Yun, who was his opponent.
In frustration, Xie Gui spits blood. His eyes are filled with wrath and madness as he looks at these two
disgusting couples. As he saw the young cultivators in front of him, dismay and incredulity were also
clearly visible on his face.
Cough!
“I can’t believe this! That thing... The devil says Nascent Soul Stage is the strongest rank among Mortals.
How can you reach it at such a young age and why can you defeat me this easily?! Who the hell are you
two!?!” roared Xie Gui. “Why... How come you two had reached the Nascent Soul Stage at such a young
age!? Aren’t I the one who is supposed to be the strongest in this realm!?”
The young pair merely glanced at him. Xie Gui’s defeat was recorded on the stone the minute he gave in
to his inner demons. His loss is an irreversible fate.
“We must return fast because I need to heal my younger brother, and I’m feeling a little uneasy for
some reason,” said Bai Wuan. “A’Xia, execute him swiftly.”
“Is it that serious?” Yun Xiajie asked with a hint of concern in those golden eyes. He was asking about his
beloved’s intuition which would usually be correct most of the time.
Bai Wuan hesitated briefly before nodding. He cast an uneasy glance in the direction of the western
plains. His gaze eventually returns to something behind the home of the Xie Clan.
“I need to leave for a while. A’Xia you can do as you want,” said Bai Wuan.
The Second Young Master Yun warned, “Be careful. I shall be back soon.”
“Un! Wait for you back at the Xie Clan’s mansion,” said Bai Wuan as he disappeared on the spot.
Xie Gui gasped in disbelief as he saw Bai Wuan vanish into thin air. It reminded me of the scene from the
night before he was consumed by inner demons. This is the same move that the assassin did to escape
from his clutches. His shocked and indignant eyes expand. Xie Gui shouts at Yun Xiajie while sporting
bloodshot eyes.
“It’s him. It’s that bastard! The night... It was absolutely the person who attempted to kill me and
triggered my inner demons. It’s fucking him!!! ARGH!” screamed the Xie Clan Leader in a fit of utter
wrath.
The madman loses his mind completely and all he could remember is the original target of his hatred
and fury. Xie Gui still wanted to kill Bai Wuan the most and when he overheard him saying he wanted to
return to the mansion, the former wanted to fly back to that place but would Yun Xiajie allow him to?
Obviously not! He attempted to break up their protracted conflict by blocking Xie Gui. The second young
master from the Lan Zhuayun Sect had been waiting for this moment when the old monster’s stamina
would be virtually exhausted.
CLANG!
Xie Gui is surrounded by the sounds of guqin and sword attacks, preventing him from taking flight. Yun
Xiajie halted Xie Gui’s path back and momentarily restrained his movements while wearing a placid look.
It was sufficient to stall the man for a while.
GRAAA! ARGH!!!
Screamed Xie Gui, “Let me go! I want to kill him. Let me kill him!! That damn silvered-eyed brat! He
should have killed me!!!”
“Boisterous. He is my Dao Companion but you keep saying you want him dead. You should get the
punishment you deserve,” said Yun Xiajie as he whispered to his sword, “Shenyuan, destroy his sword.”
{Okay, Master!}
Directly to the location where Xiao Bai and his people live, Bai Wuan used teleportation.
In that location, Zero and his comrades were also anticipating his arrival. They could only communicate
with their Lord by transmitting thoughts that had a precise location.
When Bai Wuan appeared, Xiao Bai and his companions were astounded. It is the exact same being that
Xiao Bai had previously described to them. When they first saw Bai Wuan, they could hear clamor
emanating from Xiao Bai’s people.
“But he is human...”
Bai Wuan paid little attention to the noises going on around him and focused more on Xiao Bai. His
response is cool yet classy. As usual, he would overlook anyone who couldn’t see through his eyes.
Zero remarked casually, “Zero, are they the ones you stated want to meet me?”
Bai Wuan keeps an eye on Xiao Bai, who dared not look him in the eyes. Even if he was blind, there was
no way he could have disregarded Bai Wuan’s golden light as he looked into his soul. He found it difficult
to look at him since it was so bright and noble.
‘This is the first time I’ve seen a soul this noble,’ thoughts of Xiao Bai. ‘Contrary to appearances, this is
not a human. In my memories, He is more powerful than common Gods and Immortals. However, why is
his spirit so erratic...?’
The blind guy in front of him was a fidgety figure, and Bai Wuan saw that the eyes and energy emanating
from this person weren’t simple; in other words, this blind man had merits on him and a little bit of
divinity.
Bai Wuan says, “You aren’t born in this world but a natural entity born in this world. An apparition with
a bit of divinity so the underworld isn’t wiling to let you enter. So what do you want from this lord?”
The moment the term “Underworld” was said, the surrounding hubbub abruptly stopped, and all of the
creatures wearing all-white clothing turned to face Bai Wuan with horrified looks. They seemed unable
to accept that a human might be knowledgeable about the hereafter. Even mortals on this planet are
unaware of the existence of the underworld; instead, they are familiar with Purgatory. The land of
punishment and torture. They had all knelt on the ground and worshiped in front of Bai Wuan after
following Xiao Bai’s lead.
“Venerable Lord, please accept us as your subordinates. We wish to serve you and return to the
Underworld,” said Xiao Bai.
When people knelt before him, Bai Wuan appeared indifferent and gazed down at them. He didn’t allow
them to get up or show their respect. When speaking with his Dao Companion, he is absolutely partial,
yet the contrary when speaking to others.
Bai Wuan questioned, “Heh, and what can you do, what are you capable of doing for this lord to accept
you and your people?”
Under Bai Wuan’s scrutiny, Xiao Bai’s followers shudder. Just sensing his eyes on them caused them to
become tense and uneasy. Like an ant witnessing an elephant for the first time.
Only Xiao Bai managed to maintain composure in the face of Bai Wuan’s intimidating presence.
Xiao Bai pleaded with the lord to accept them, saying, “My lord, I can work with Lao Hei and govern the
Underworld with you. All the souls will be separated according to their merits and karma. We will
undoubtedly be useful to you.”
“You are born with eyes that can peer into the future and see through the soul, so I guess you will be the
perfect job for it. I intended to let Zero handle the laws and regulations in the Underworld. Should I
leave the stability and authority to you?” asked Bai Wuan. “I guess you will be the perfect job for it.”
Hmm~ Bai Wuan’s eye wandered off from Xiao Bai who was kneeling in front of him this silent servant
observing the whole situation without speaking out a word of concern or rejection.
After giving it some thought, Bai Wuan decided to delegate the choice to his most devoted servant out
of all of his subordinates in this realm. He turns to look at Zero, who was patiently waiting for orders
while standing alongside him in a calm manner like an overqualified steward.
Bai Wuan glanced at his faithful servant, Zero, and said, “What do you think, Lao Hei? Since you gave
away your actual identity, it means you like him quite a lot. I’ve already given you the authority of the
Underworld. If you want him, then I will accept him.”
Zero lightly glances at Xiao Bai who happens to look up and meet his gaze. Through his eyes, I could see
him pleading, and I almost immediately lost my poker mask. Bai Wuan, who had been observing the
conversation between the two, smiled broadly. He seems amused by their response.
Chuckles~
When they inquired about their duties in the Underworld, Bai Wuan replied, “Well, more details of your
jobs shall be explained when I return to that place. For now, stay together. Register Xiao Bai’s name
under my registry and the rest under his registry. The mistake of your subordinates would be your
responsibility.”
Bai Wuan used the guidance of a white snowflake that appeared above his palms to inscribe his emblem
as the King of Punishment on Xiao Bai’s forehead. In order to control their life and death in the same
way as Zero does for his subordinates, he established a connection between Xiao Bai and his people. In
the meantime, Xiao Bai’s life was given to Zero.
Despite his charming smile, Bai Wuan asked, “I warned you. He is your responsibility. Any complaints?”
yet his eyes were serious.
.....
“Good. Stay in contact. I’ll soon finish my trial and ascend. Until then, keep an eye out for signs of
Demonic Beings in this realm. When I make the decision to ascend, I’ll open the gates of the underworld
for you guys.”
They all bowed their heads and honored Bai Wuan as a group.
“Yes, My lord!”
In just one day, the Xie Clan as a whole was destroyed. The Sect Alliance’s cultivations fared well in this
conflict. Lu Yi made the decision to bring back the bodies of those who died bravely in this war for their
loved ones. When Bai Wuan came back to the surface, his sweetheart greeted him warmly.
He didn’t appear to struggle in his battle with Xie Gui, that venerable monster.
“Did you capture him?” Bai Wuan inquired as he hugged his lover.
Yun Xiajie handed his beloved the crystal ball and said, “Caught. For you.”
Bai Wuan happily accepted the gift that his lover had gotten for him. He peered into the glass orb and
observed Xie Gui’s soul writhing in agony as it was being slowly consumed by Hell flames.
The Second Young Master Yun says while nodding his head. “Go home together.”
Now they may return home. The oppressive clan that had surrounded the Sects was ultimately
vanquished. The others seemed to agree that peace had finally been established. In the large sects, only
a select few elders and those in positions of power are aware of the devil’s existence. To prevent
instability in the realm, they have been keeping it secret from the general public. But given that the devil
race is renowned for being cunning, will they truly be able to keep it a secret from the others?
A few days have passed since Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin safely reached home. The sect is really tense
now that Yun Xiajie and Bai Wuan are absent. In the Lan Zhuayun Sect, practically everyone felt uneasy
about the Devil’s very presence.
“Yes. They say it was hidden and imprisoned at the main peak. Do you think it’s real?”
“We can’t even check ourselves. The Main Peak is where the Sect Master and the Great Elder live. Do
you want to get punished?”
“You mean the punishment for breaking the Sect Rules? That’s whipping right?”
“Okay. Let’s forget about the devil nonsense, not knowing whether it exists or not. I’m more worried
about Junior Brother Jieye and Junior Brother Wuan. Do you think they’ve won against that old
monster?”
“Of course! Young Lord Lu Tian and Young Master Jin Shilu joined them. They should be fine.”
“But isn’t that old monster a Nascent Soul Cultivator? Our Sect Master is only at the Golden Core stage.”
“But I heard Junior Brother Jieye had become Nascent Soul himself?”
“Rumors say Junior Brother Wuan is on the same level as well. The beloved sons of heavens are really
amazing ha...”
“Yes, they were different from us even the moment they were born. I’m still at the 8th Establishment
Foundation Stage. I wonder when I can build my Golden Core.”
“You are already at 8th while I’m still at 6th. You need three more levels to reach Golden core and
you’re still complaining.”
“But Junior Brother Jieye and Junior Brother Wuan were younger than us but they are even stronger
than Senior Brother Huaye.”
“Well... Forget about those two. They are different from us. But we can at least reach the same strength
as Senior Brother Huaye right?”
“Un. I just felt bad that his future Dao Companion’s cultivation was abolished by that evil Clan of Xie.
Young Master Bai is quite talented himself and was already at Peak Establishment Foundation before he
was crippled.”
“Shut up! Don’t let Senior Brother Huaye hear you. You’ll get beat up.”
“I heard Junior Brother Wuan can. That’s why they are waiting for them to come back.”
This kind of discourse was prevalent throughout the Sect. Since they returned and informed their elders
of the vows they had exchanged, Bai Qiyin had been residing in his Dao Companion’s courtyard. When
the Great Elder learned about this, Yun Huaxia received hours of reprimands, and their Dai Ceremony
was rescheduled. It was planned to be held on the same day as the Dao Ceremony for Jin Shiyan and Bai
Lili.
Bai Qiyin first resisted nodding in agreement. He does not desire to marry before his older brother.
Unfortunately, he and Yun Huaxia had already taken the oath. To receive an acknowledgment from the
Heavenly Laws, they required a formal Dao Ceremony; otherwise, their Dao Companionship wouldn’t be
recognized at all. Bai Lili made every effort to persuade her second elder brother. Only after learning
that his younger sister had obtained their elder brother’s blessing for the event did Bai Qiyin grudgingly
acquiesce.
Currently, Yun Huaxia was busy getting ready for his and Jin Shiyan’s Dao Ceremony. He is assisting Bai
Lili in organizing the wedding, and since two couples will be attending, everything that has to be
prepared will be doubled. Yun Huaxia is thus busier than a diligent ant. He had to work on his own Dao
Ceremony while resolving issues in the sect.
In order to protect the Main Peak, which contains the Devil’s prison, his father and other elders were
unable to assist him in any way. They couldn’t allow anyone to enter that courtyard out of concern that
the devil would escape while Bai Wuan was away. If it occurs, this devil would annihilate the entire sect.
Up until the day Yun Huaxia and Bai Qiyin announced their Dao Ceremony, everything was well. While
the majority of the disciples rejoiced at the news, there was one person in the gathering who was
devastated by it. When Jin Baihua learned that his one-sided love target had plans to be married, he was
surprised. Jin Baihua was a guest staying at the sect.
“Senior Brother Yun, you... Are you really choosing Bai Yin as your dao companion?” Jin Baihua
questioned Yun Huaxia, who was approaching him bewildered and stunned.
“Why? His clan was destroyed, his cultivation was destroyed, and he no longer possessed anything
deserving of you!” Jin Baihua questioned.
Yun Huaxia responded, “I chose him because I love Yin’er. This is more than enough reason for me to do
so.”
“But I..!”
“Don’t say it, because I don’t want to embarrass you or reject you in front of everyone. Jin Huayu, I will
only love Yin’er in this life. The rest is irrelevant.”
Yun Huaxia’s implied rejection of Jin Baihua caused him to leave that location. He is left with no choice
but to go back to his room and sob bitterly.
Even though everyone was aware that Bai Qiyin had his cultivation abolished, Yun Huaxia nevertheless
chose him to be his Dao Companion. Bai Qiyin made Jin Baihua feel incredibly envious. He struggled to
understand how someone like Bai Qiyin was able to have things that he was unable to have.
Bai Qiyin is a direct descendant of one of the great sects, the Bai Lengshui Sect. No one could dispute
the power the Bai Lengshui Sect once wielded, despite the sect being exclusive and dissolved.
Furthermore, Bai Wuan, this Ice demon, could easily construct it from scratch. Some of the disciples who
were compelled to leave the disaster weren’t your average cultivators. Jin Baihua has witnessed people
safeguarding the Bai descendants from everyone and everything. The majority of them had reached
Peak Establishment Foundation Stage, and some had even reached Peak Golden Core.
Despite having fewer members, they may nevertheless compete with the other major sects in strength.
The Bai Lengshui Sect can be revitalized once they begin enlisting new disciples. The Northern Lands
have many gifted younger generations. It won’t be long before the Bai Lengshui Sect is rebuilt.
nov𝓮𝓁𝚞𝗌𝚋dot𝓬/o\𝔪
Furthermore, the Bai Lengshui Sect may keep its status as a Great Sect with merely Bai Wuan. His
strength is the strongest among his generation and his chosen Dao Companion happens to be the
Second Young Master of the Lan Zhuayun Sect. His generation’s strongest individual, the Second Young
Master of the Lan Zhuayun Sect, is his chosen Dao Companion. With this, the Lan Zhuayun Sect would
unquestionably support them. Additionally, the Heir of the Jin Tiangui Sect would shortly be married to
the Bai Clan’s sole princess. Jin Baihua couldn’t understand why Sect Master Jin would marry his
cherished heir to a woman with no formal qualifications and family background, yet his father was still
eager to do it. However, it was more than enough for the others to accept this predicament merely by
thinking about Bai Wuan.
Bai Qiyin was raised in a distinguished household. He also has a very strong sibling who adores him
dearly. Even if his cultivation talent is just mediocre now, he won’t have any resource issues because his
elder brother will provide him with whatever he needs. Even better, he now has a man who adores him
despite his past or his physical prowess. A young, good-hearted man who is prepared to swear an oath
to the gods in order to show them that his love for him is sincere.
Although Bai Qiyin’s skill for cultivation is less than Jin Baihua, but unlike the former, he has a family that
views him as a servant rather than as a family. Additionally, he doesn’t have a loving brother. Even
though he had several half-brothers and half-sisters, none of them loved him as Bai Wuan does Bai
Qiyin. Then, when he did find someone to love, that person was never noticed by him as he wasn’t the
man who had captured his heart but Bai Qiyin instead.
Jin Baihua’s wrath will erupt at the sight of just this. He had always questioned why the world had
always treated him unfairly. He barricaded himself in the lodging the Lan Zhuayun Sect had provided for
him. While his heart was filled with resentment and hatred for everything, he was sobbing
uncontrollably in his room. He could not stand to hear another word about the Yun Huaxia’s Dao
Ceremony, whom he insidiously adores.
He loathed his family. Jin Shiyan, his sibling. He resented Yun Huaxia for failing to recognize his feelings.
He despised the unfairness of the world. He detested everything about his life, even his fate.
Suddenly, there emerges a beguiling whisper, hearing a voice lingering in his ears for a little moment.
{Do you despise that man who is incapable of loving you at all? Do you hate this world for having
abandoned you? Do you hate your clan for reviling you?}
{You may have everything you desire from me, but in return, your body and soul will belong to me once
you pass away.}
The Devil of Wrath, Fennu. He is one of the powerful devils from the Infernal region and governs over all
the abominations in the three realms.
