2 CHRONICLES 13:1-20

THE BIble says

2Chronicles 13:1 ¶ Now in the eighteenth year of king Jeroboam began Abijah to reign
over Judah.
2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Michaiah the
daughter of Uriel of Gibeah. And there was war between Abijah and Jeroboam.

For us to know, Abijah is the Son of King Rehoboam, ang king Rehoboam is the Son of
King Solomon. And na devide ang 12 tribes of ISRAEL tungod sa SALA NI KING SOLOMON.

1Kings 11:11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of
thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded
thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.
12 Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will
rend it out of the hand of thy son.
13 Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for
David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

Rehoboam, and this is the time nga ma fulfill na nag judgment sa Ginoo. The kingdom of
ISRAEL is devided.

The Bible says
1Kings 12:17 But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah,
Rehoboam reigned over them.

And the rest of the 10 tribes naa kay Jeroboam, seervant ni King Solomon

The bible says
1Kings 12:21 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house
of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men,
which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to
Rehoboam the son of Solomon.

The bible says
1Kings 12:24 Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren
the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They
hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the
word of the LORD.

2Chronicles 13:4 And Abijah stood up upon mount Zemaraim, which is in mount
Ephraim, and said, Hear me, thou Jeroboam, and all Israel;
5 Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to
David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?

2Chronicles 13:12 And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests
with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against
the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.

2Chronicles 13:20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah:
and the LORD struck him, and he died.
Gusto sa Ginoo nga mo lambo ta, mo lambo ta sa tanang bahin sa atong Cristohanon
nga kinabuhi.

Wala ka recover si king Jeroboam.

C. King Solomon and Foreign Wives:

Solomon, known for his wisdom, allowed his foreign wives to turn his heart away from
God. They influenced him to tolerate idolatry, resulting in the division of the kingdom
after his death (1 Kings 11:1-13).

Colossians 3:5: "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is
idolatry."

Anything nga molabaw sa Ginoo ug makababag nato sa Ginoo is considered IDOLATRY.

In our context mabasa nato nga gibadlong ni KIng Abijah ang Israel uban sa hari nga si
KIng Jeroboam tungod sa ilang IDOLATRY.
