AISI 1006 Carbon Steel (UNS G10060)

Friday, 05 Oct, 2012

Introduction
Steels containing mainly carbon as the alloying element are called carbon steels. They contain about 0.4% silicon and 1.2%
manganese. Chromium, nickel, aluminium, copper and molybdenum are also present in small quantities in the carbon steels.

The features of AISI 1006 carbon steel are mainly softness and ductility. The following datasheet will provide more details
about AISI 1006 carbon steel.
