OSCILLOSCOPE
A cathode ray oscilloscope (CRO) is a laboratory instrument used
to display, measure and analyse waveforms of electrical circuits.
It is used to display the analysis and measurement of waveforms.
It is an extremely quick X-Y plotter that shows the input signal vs.
time.
COMPONENTS OF A CATHODE RAY
OSCILLOSCOPE
A CRO has the following essential parts:
2. VERTICAL AMPLIFIER
It amplifies the input signals for display on the CRT screen.
3. DELAY LINE
It provides a certain signal that is applied to vertical deflection
plates of CRT.
4. TRIGGER CIRCUIT
It produces a triggering signal for synchronizing both horizontal
and vertical deflections of the electron beam.
6. HORIZONTAL AMPLIFIER
It amplifies the sawtooth signal and then connects it to the
horizontal deflection plates of CRT.
7. POWER SUPPLY
It produces both high and low voltages. The negative high voltage
and positive low voltage are applied to CRT and the other circuits
respectively
