Course Description: This course is based on the practise of four skills in the target language. Depending on a variety of topics presented in each unit, students also develop their knowledge of
vocabulary and grammar in accordance with the level expectations. During the course, students engage with various activities including group or pair works, communicative activities and
games. An international course book with a workbook, additional worksheets and booklets designed by the institution instructors are utilised to help students use and practice the target
language.
Listening Can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc., including short narratives. (7,8)
Can understand the main points and important details in stories and other narratives (e.g. a description of a holiday), provided the speaker speaks slowly and clearly. (13)
Can understand the information content of the majority of recorded or broadcast audio material on topics of personal interest delivered in clear standard speech (10,16,19)
Reading Can read straightforward factual texts on subjects related to his / her field and interest with a satisfactory level of comprehension. (7)
