1. Divide students into two lines: the Say Line and the
Play Line, facing each other.
2. The Say Line students each have a card with an action
word.
3. On cue, the first student on the Say Line says their
word to their partner in the Play Line.
4. The partner in the Play Line acts out the word.
5. Rotate the Say Line students to the back of the line
and repeat until all pairs have participated.
E. Discussing new concepts and Action words help students to focus when listening. They also help
practicing new skills (2) the students to retell and act it out by identifying what the
character is doing. Moreover, common action words also can be
easily understood if the students are engaging in different physical
activities like role playing and following directions.
