Manual for Commend SIP Series Version 2.0/0612... **Important Notice** This manual is a CE-labelled product, meeting EU standards EN 55022 and EN 55024. Keep this description in a safe place. **Attention** Only authorized service personnel should install and mount the SIP devices and equipment. **Introduction** The Commend SIP Series
connects SIP technology with reliable solutions. The full duplex capable stations are linked to the Ethernet (LAN/WAN) and IP-network via compatible SIP Server. **SIP Standards Explained** Each VoIP subscriber is automatically registered on a server with their respective IP address. A new address is assigned by the SIP provider according to SIP
standards, in the form of "sip:[email protected]". **Technical Specifications** - Power consumption for terminal devices (Class 0): 0.44 W to 12.95 W - Operating temperature range (for SIP Series P, V, VE, and F): -20° C to +60° C (-4° F to 140° F) - Storage temperature range: Same as operating temperature **Environmental Ratings**
The IP rating for SIP Series V and VE is IP 65, with mechanical impact resistance according to EN 62262. The front panel is made of stainless steel. **Extent of Supply** - SIP stations (various models) - Screws for mounting - Optional: G8-VOIPSERV (Asterisk Server Compatibility) Series M SIP modules for integration in existing housings and panels
or building of customer-specific stations are available in two versions: with RJ45 sockets mounted horizontally or vertically. For installation, additional mounting material is required for Series P, F, V, and VE modules. The following additional mounting materials are available: * Flush mount kit WSFB 50P/V/VE * Surface mount kit WSSH 50P/F/V/VE
The mounting instructions are divided into sections, including measurements in mm (inch) for the flush mount kits. The surface mount kit has expansion openings that can be broken out with a blunt object. For Series V and VE modules, additional mounting material is required, which includes the flush mount kit WSFB 50V. 2.0/0612... Page 25

Page 36 Configuration via Web Interface Commend SIP Series Overview Configuration
Settings The home page provides an overview of the current software and hardware versions and configuration settings of the SIP station – the data is only informative, i.e. no configuration can be carried out via this page. Any changes made to settings in a field will be applied to the device's running configuration as soon as the button at the bottom
right is clicked and a reboot has been performed. This process may take a few seconds. In the SNMP Settings section, users can input the necessary settings for monitoring via the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). The definition and usage of this function are explained in more detail under "SNMP." When editing SIP-, Call-, or LED
Settings, any changes made to fields will be applied to the running configuration as soon as the button at the bottom right is clicked. This may take a few seconds. The Registration max. Expires field sets a timer responsible for updating the station's registration with the SIP server. The entered time in seconds is sent by the SIP station to the SIP
server (Proxy below). The Disabled menu item prevents running conversations from being cancelled at the SIP station, meaning such cancellations can only be made at the remote station. This feature is useful in emergency situations where, for example, only the emergency center should have the ability to cancel a call. In Phonebook Settings, users
can add desired call destinations by selecting the Add new Contact option. The Speed Dial Number field allows for direct dialling of numbers using a SIP station with a full keypad. However, this field has no function on 1-,2-,3-button versions. When importing or exporting phonebooks, users can save and import existing phonebook settings. Audio
Settings are also accessible through the Web Interface. Any modifications made in the "Audio Settings" fields will be applied to the running configuration as soon as the button at the bottom right of the Audio Settings section is clicked. Pre-recorded audio can be used for various states, such as outgoing call destinations and incoming calls. This
feature allows users to configure individual tones or messages for specific events. Indication of file length is provided if desired audio files are loaded into the memory of the SIP station. Configuration and Features of Commend SIP Series ####Input Configuration (Page 49) The input configuration allows modifications in fields that are automatically
updated in the running configuration when the button at the bottom right is clicked. This process may take a few seconds. ####Output Configuration (Page 50) Similar to input configuration, output configuration also involves making changes in fields which will be updated in the running configuration as soon as the button at the bottom right is
clicked. This process might take a couple of seconds. ####Configuring Relays (Page 51-52) Relay configurations can be set up separately for both relays of the SIP station via sections Relay 1 and Relay 2. Possible settings include indicating current relay status, manual actions, and different relay modes like deactivating attendant contact, closing or
opening relay output, and switching it to blinking. ####System Settings (Page 53-54) This includes configurations for remote control and background light as well as firmware updates and reboots. A dropdown menu offers options including configuration of remote control settings and the background light. ####SIP Trace (Page 55) SIP trace allows
a list of current SIP messages to be indicated, making it easier to reconstruct actions and facilitating troubleshooting. ####Remote Control (Page 56-57) The possibility for establishing a "remote control account" enables controlling different operating states for automated processes without the authorization of full access on the web interface. This
includes simulating desired buttons like pressing button 1, 2, or 3, or various buttons found in stations with full keypads. ####SNMP (Page 58-59) The Simple Network Management Protocol controls and monitors network elements via a central management station/PC. The protocol manages communication between the monitored device and the
monitoring station. Configuration of Audio Data via Web Interface To configure audio data on the Commend SIP Series, navigate to the "Audio" tab (page 45). Before proceeding, it is essential to have basic knowledge about audio configuration. This section explains the various settings and their consequences. To carry out echo configuration at this
station, the effects will be audible in conversation with an echo partner. The office or garage reception can serve as an example. The echo configuration has to be carried out at this station for it to be audible. A detailed description of the Snom web interface is not provided, as only basic knowledge for a serverless operation between two SIP devices
will be communicated. To enable an operation without a server, activate the option field "on". This enables a serverless connection of the Snom phone to a SIP terminal (e.g., Commend SIP station). As no server is in use, no SIP account can be created for registration on a server. A dummy-account (e.g., "124" + password) can be created if needed. The
following sections provide operating instructions for the display menu of the SIP stations WS 800V and WS 800F. Here, the station data is indicated, including IP address, registration status, and version. After pressing the Enter button, the entered call number will be dialled. If no button is pressed within a timeout of 10 seconds, a double tone will be
sounded and input mode will restart, allowing a new number to be dialled. For more information about the Commend SIP Series, visit www.commend.com/sip 2.0/0612.
