AGBS Faculty Case Writing Workshop

Working Procedure

General

I. Case writing workshops were held from for 04 May to 08 May for faculty of AGBS as
listed below:
1. Bangalore
2. Indore
3. Hyderabad
4. Chandigarh
5. Bhubaneswar
6. Mumbai
7. Pune
8. Noida
9. Ahmedabad
10. Chennai
11. Kochi

Course Content

II. During the workshop, aspects listed below were covered.


 About Amity Research Centers
 What is a Case Study for Teaching
 Types of Case Study and Data Collection
 Benefits of Case Method of Teaching for Faculty and Students
 Process to be adopted for, drafting, review and publishing a case study
 What Next – faculty were encouraged to draft case studies. Support of Amity
Research Centers was assured.
 Set of required documents, sample compact Case Study and guidelines were
separately mailed to all AGBS
Working Procedure

III. To facilitate the faculty in their endeavour to draft case studies and ensure an orderly
process. Working procedure to be adopted is detailed as below.
IV. It is recommended that a Faculty Coordinator be appointed at each AGBS. Duties of the
Faculty Coordinator along with detailed working procedure are given below:
 Make a firm program of cases to be developed by faculty at the AGBS, with date of
completion
 Carry out Weekly Review of the progress.
 Review inputs / drafts as and when forwarded by a faculty; approve / suggest
corrections / changes if required
 Forward cleared documents to [email protected]
 Forward inputs related to the case received from ARCS Review to the faculty
concerned.
 Faculty will not correspond directly with ARCS Review Team on a case under
submission / review
 A case ID will be given once the Trigger is approved
 Please use the Case ID in all correspondence related to the case
 Adopt a trailing mail process for the correspondence initiated related to the case
 Do not forward solitary mails related to a case, once the trigger is approved and
the review is in process
 Please ensure that the subject line of the mail carries the title of the case and the
case ID
 A blind review of a case will be done. Identity of the case writer will not revealed
