Due to the pursuit of happiness, often involving a blooming career and a contented
family life, more pressure is put on people in today’s society, especially those
having high positions in workplace. Some state that it is impossible for such
individuals to have both accomplishments in their life. In my view, I completely
disagree with this statement due to the following reasons.
To begin with, the characteristics of mangers or CEOs can completely enable them
to obtain both aspects. Undoubtedly, they have a well-developed set of skills
needed for their occupations, such as time managing or planning, to name but a
few. With such competencies, they are capable of balancing between family life
and career path. Time management allows them to accomplish their tasks more
effeciently, thus minimizing extra work hours at home. This enables them to
strengthen family bonds and have better connection with other family members,
therefore reinforcing understanding and affection needed for a happy family life.
Similarly, excellent planning skills can also helps them organize activities in a
plausible way, allowing them to utilize time more effectively. This, obviously,
permits them to dedicate to finishing tasks at work and making contributions to a
happy family simultaneously. Consequently, with such skills, both a thriving career
and a content family life can be achieved.
Other external factors can also enable managers and CEOs to possess both
achievements. When managing a responsible, hard-working and cooperative crew,
working productivity of both managers and workers will be increased. This
decreases pressure arouse from work as well as the heavy workload that they have
to complete. In addition, all companies workers can also have day-offs on holidays
or other special occasions. Utilizing such breaks, workers can consolidate family
cohesion by different approaches to enjoy holidays. Furthermore, they can also
attain both a content family life and a successful career when having a supportive
family. Such a family can sympathize and share the strain of work, thus both
strenthening familial relationships and creating motivation for the managers or
CEOs to carry on their work. Hence, besides skills needed to be a manager, such
elements can also allow people in higher positions to obtain both sides.
In conclusion, with the mentioned set of skills as well as other factors relating to
co-workers and family members, it is completely possible for a manager or CEO to
have both a thriving career and a happy family life. This enbles them succeed in
pursuing happiness, thus creating a life which is more meaningful and worth
living.
