Message
from the CEO
A Legacy of Partnership and Purpose

As Helen Keller wisely said,

Alone we can do so little; together

Sapna Moudgil
we can do so much.
Cheif Executive Officer
These words resonate deeply with us at NIIT Foundation,
reminding us that it is through collaboration that we achieve
our greatest impact.

We have indeed experienced the power of partnerships to drive meaningful change. In 2007, we opened our first
Skill Development Centre in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh in partnership with IT companies and local
government leadership. The PPP model successfully contributed to the skilling and employment transformation in
the local community, enabling over 7,000 local youth to get jobs in IT/ITES domain.

Over the years, we've partnered Pan India with corporations, NGOs, and government bodies, pooling our collective
strengths to make a tangible difference in the lives of over 9 million beneficiaries. From skill development and
community outreach to funding critical initiatives, each partnership reflects a unwavering commitment to
creating opportunities and transforming lives.

In the last decade, the evolution of CSR has been remarkable. What once began as purely philanthropic efforts has
matured into strategic, outcome-driven initiatives that benefit both society and business. The introduction
of mandatory CSR regulations has further enhanced this shift, with companies now embracing structured
approaches that prioritize measurable impact and transparency.
In just a few short years, we've seen a 53% increase in CSR spending, and we know this momentum will only grow
as more organizations recognize the critical importance of aligning business goals with the needs of the
communities they serve.

With NIIT Foundation on a mission 2030 to enable 50 million beneficiaries to use digital technologies to
improve their lives, we recognize that partnerships with like-minded organizations are critical for this purpose. By
fostering even greater collaboration, with clear roles and shared visions, we can amplify our efforts and touch
more lives than what we can do individually.

We are deeply grateful to our over 200 partners for their encouragement and support to continue walking this
path of transformation. Please reach out to us if this resonated with you. There is a lot more we can do together.

Cover Story
Empowering Communities: The
Transformative Power of
Partnerships
At the core of NIIT Foundation’s mission are the partnerships that
fuel its work to bridge the education and skills gap in
underserved communities across India. By collaborating with
corporate leaders, NGOs, and both government and private
institutions, NIIT Foundation creates networks that spark
transformation, empowering individuals and communities
alike.
One story of transformation began in 2007 in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh, where NIIT Foundation launched its
first learning center. Located in the scenic Satpura range, this center marked the start of a journey aimed at
uplifting local youth. Just two years later, a second center opened in Barkuhi, expanding the organization’s reach.
Today, both centers continue to offer life-changing courses in technical and non-technical fields, giving young
people the skills they need to build brighter futures.

Yet, the heart of NIIT Foundation’s mission goes beyond the expansion of learning centers. It’s about the
individuals who walk through the doors of these centers with dreams but uncertain futures. Thanks to the
collective efforts of corporate and NGO partners, NIIT Foundation provides opportunities for growth, offering
digital skills, financial literacy, and career-ready training. These partnerships act as lifelines for communities,
delivering programs that are not only relevant to today’s job market but also accessible to those who need them
the most.

Corporate partners contribute more than just funding—they offer industry expertise, ensuring that the programs
remain aligned with the evolving demands of the workforce. NGO partnerships, meanwhile, create vital grassroots
connections, helping NIIT Foundation reach the most remote and marginalized communities. Together, these
collaborations form a powerful synergy, equipping individuals with the skills required for sustainable careers and
growth.

The cycle of transformation is completed through placement partnerships, which link trained candidates with
meaningful employment opportunities. Collaborations with both government and private institutions further
extend the impact of these initiatives by embedding employability skills within formal education systems and
preparing students for the future job market.

From the first center in Chhindwara to the millions of lives impacted across the country, NIIT Foundation’s story
is one of hope, transformation, and opportunity. At the heart of this journey are the partnerships that have made it
all possible. Through their continued support, NIIT Foundation lights the way for those seeking better futures,
one individual at a time.

Volunteer Speak
I am Sneha Sumant Randive, a third-year student at Delhi
University, pursuing a Bachelor's of Elementary Education. As a
future educator, I sought opportunities to hone my teaching skills
and connect with students.

Joining NIIT Foundation as an educational volunteer, I aimed to

bridge the gap between my theoretical knowledge and practical
application. As I shared my knowledge with students, I realized the
value of giving back to the community. I was fortunate to have
access to quality education, and I wanted to extend this privilege to
those who weren't as fortunate.
Sneha Sumant Randive
NIIT Foundation Volunteer Volunteering as an educator here has been a profoundly rewarding
New Delhi
experience. Witnessing student's faces light up with understanding
and enthusiasm was truly fulfilling.
Through engaging lessons and personalised interactions I saw the students grow in confidence and skills. What
struck me the most was the diverse learning abilities and potential within each one of them. NIIT Foundation
commitment to empowering marginalised community resonated deeply within me.

I’m proud to be associated with NIIT Foundation which is working to bridge the educational gap in the underserved
communities. My experience here as a volunteer has broadened my perspective of Education and I believe that it
has transformative power.
