Program Syllabus

Welcome to mindbodygreen's Functional Nutrition Program.


This syllabus offers a general overview of what each section
of the program will entail, in the order you will experience
them. A few things to note about progressing through the
modules:

• We recommend downloading the study guide from each


module before you begin watching the videos, so that you
can follow along and take your own notes on the content.

• While you only need to answer one of the writing


assignment questions to move on to the next module, we
highly recommend answering all of questions to further
solidify your knowledge, and then save them in your notes
or in a journal.

• The first six modules are foundational, and if you’ve already


completed any nutrition training, you may move through
these modules more quickly than others. Module seven will
take significantly more time, so please plan accordingly!

Overall Philosophy At our core, we believe in using food as medicine. We believe


food should be functional, or as Hippocrates said, “let food

inflammation, make skin glow, balance hormones, heal the
gut, and more. In this brief module, Kelly will dive a little
deeper into this philosophy—the philosophy that food is a
pathway to optimal health and wellbeing.
