Tip!
Use a stitch marker or safety pin to keep track of where the round begins. A wooden
chopstick is perfect to use to get the piece thoroughly stuffed.

BODY
Using White and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring

R4:​ 1 sc, 1 inc, [2 sc, 1 inc] x5, 1 sc (24)
R5:​ [3 sc, 1 inc] x6 (30)
R6:​ 2 sc, 1 inc, [4 sc, 1 inc] x5, 2 sc (36)
R7:​ 36 sc (36)
R8:​ [5 sc, 1 inc] x6 (42)
R9-15:​ 42 sc (7 rounds, 42)

Start stuffing and keep doing that as the hole becomes smaller.

Sew the hole together. Cut the yarn but leave a 30 cm long yarn tail.
Use a long needle and pull it through the bottom to the top of the body, make a little stitch
and then pull the needle from the top down to the bottom again.
Pull the yarn a little bit. Fasten the thread and weave in the ends.
The reason for this is to make the body of the snowman stand more stable.

HEAD
Using White and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring

Attach the safety eyes between rounds 8 and 9 with 7 stitches apart.

Pin the head to the body and sew it on.

CARROTNOSE
Using Orange and a 2.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring
R1​: 6 sc in the magic ring (6)
R2-4​ 6 sc (3 rounds, 6)
Finish with 1 sl st.
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing.
Pin the nose to the head and sew it on.

ARMS part 1 ​(make 2)


Using Light Brown and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring
R1​: 6 sc in the magic ring (6)
R2-8:​ 6 sc (7 rounds, 6)
Finish with 1 sl st.
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing.

ARMS part 2​ (make 2)


Using Light Brown and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring
R1​: 6 sc in the magic ring (6)
R2-3:​ 6 sc (2 rounds, 6)
Finish with 1 sl st.
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing.
Pin part 2 to part 1 and then sew it on.
Now it is time to sew them on to the body.
I have sewn one arm on the snowman so it looks like he is waving. I have sewn the other
arm to the body (see picture guide).

STONES ​(make 2)
Using Black and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring
R1:​ 6 sc in the magic ring (6)
Finish with 1 sl st.
Cut the yarn but leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew on the stones to the snowman's tummy.

SCARF
Using Light Turquoise and a 3.5 mm hook
Ch 49
R1:​ Start in the 2nd ch from the hook, 48 sc, ch 1 and turn.
R2:​ 48 sc, ch 1 and turn.
R3:​ 48 sc
Cut the yarn and weave in all the ends.
The fringes on the scard:​ Cut 6 pieces of 5 cm long threads, fold them double.
Take your hook and pull the fringe through the end of the scarf. Yarn over and pull through.
Repeat this so you have 3 double ended fringes on each side of the scarf.
Wrap the scarf around the snowman's neck and secure with a couple of stitches.

HAT
Using Black and a 3.5 mm hook
Start with a magic ring
R1​: 6 sc in the ring (6)
R2​: [1 inc] x6 (12)
R3​: [1 sc, 1 inc] x6 (18)
R4​: [2 sc, 1 inc] x6 (24)
R5:​ ​In back loops only,​ 24 sc (24)
R6-7:​ 24 sc (2 rounds, 24)
R8:​ ​Change to Light Turquoise, ​24 sc (24)
R9:​ ​Change to Black, 2 ​ 4 sc (24)
R10:​ [1 sc, 1 inc] repeat to end of round (36)
R11-12:​ 36 (2 rounds, 36)
Finish with 1 sl st.
Cut the yarn and weave in all the ends.
Pin the hat to the side of the snowman's head. If you want you can stuff the hat a little bit
before sewing it on.

FINISHING:​ Embroider pink cheeks and a black mouth and eyebrows.
