A team at a manufacturing plant wanted to identify the most common production issues
causing delays. They asked the staff to record the type of issues encountered during the
assembly process over a two-week period. Afterward, they collected the data and tallied the
results by specific issue.

Conclusion:
Priority should be given to addressing Machine Malfunction (34%), Incorrect Assembly (20%),
and Missing Tools (17%) first, as resolving these defects will eliminate 71% of the issues.
Following this, addressing Material Shortage (12%) will increase the resolution rate to 83%,
aligning with the 80/20 rule. The remaining issues, Faulty Components (12%) and Human Error
(5%), are less critical and can be addressed later.
