Pitch:

The interview and story is on my friend Daniel who has recently transferred from a Private
School to Burnaby South. It will be about day to day life and how his experience in starting a
new chapter in a different environment of people changed his life. It’ll show B-rolls of his
hobbies and his favourite things to do like watch Anime, play basketball, doing tik tok and also
fashion, which makes him easily connectable to an audience around his age and for those who
want to try and fit in.
Extra Stuff:
1. Who is your audience?
My audience are teenagers and people around Daniel’s age and for those who are struggling to
fit in.

2. What is your main idea to be conveyed?

The main idea being conveyed is that Daniel has a nice backstory as he is able to sympathise
and connect with people his age who also try to be more educated in designs and fashion. He
also found a love for connecting with others as he’s very friendly and can create a bond with
anyone. Knowing his backstory and experiences in private schools, transitioning to a public
school, his life perspectives and motives changed from when he wasn’t registered in Burnaby
South.

3. What sides of the story do you want to show/hear?

I want to show the life and hobbies of Daniel while he tells the audience his experience in trying
to start a new in a different school.

4. What B-roll do you need to shoot?

B-rolls needed to be shot are:
- Daniel in his house being interviewed
- Daniel at the basketball court practicing
- Daniel on his PS4 and doing Tik Tok (his hobbies)
- Daniel practicing and testing out fashion as well as shopping for clothes
- Pictures of his childhood

5. How can you, the reporter connect or creatively become involved with the story?
A way I can involve myself is be the one to ask the questions in the video as if it was a proper
interview

6. Who are the people to interview?

- Daniel
- His parents possibly
- His close friends

7. What questions to ask?

- What was your childhood like before moving to Burnaby South?
- What made you start a love and interest in Fashion? What about it makes you enjoy it so
much?
- What do you find similar between Fashion and your love for sports?
- What was your first experience at Burnaby South after moving from a Private School?
- What do you like more about a public school than a private school?
- What do you wish and aspire to be in life?
- What do you do now during a pandemic? What keeps you occupied and distracted?
