“I am really excited to swim here in Dubai. Before going here, I already set my mind
that I need to perform well this time since I’ll be competing against the best swimmers
from different countries. And I’m happy that I made my family, my team and of course
our country proud again,” said Mojdeh.

“I still have four more events and I’m looking forward to winning more medals. We’ll
see. Traveling abroad helps me a lot to improve my skills and at the same time see the
beauty outside the Philippines. Going to theme parks as a reward makes me even more
motivated to swim faster,” she added.

Reigning Female Swimmer of the Year Kyla Soguilon of Sun Yat Sen SchoolKalibo won
three silver medals in girls’ 12year 400m IM (6:03.85), 50m freestyle (29.69) and 50m
backstroke (33.96).

“It was a great start. Mojdeh was just fantastic in all her events. She won two golds both
clocking good times at 31.88 in 50m free and 2:43.88 in 200m butterfly are great times.
I am happy for her as you see her swimming with a brave heart,” said PSL President
Susan Papa.
