2. What is the role of stomach in digestion of food?
Ans- When the food enters the stomach, the muscles of the stomach mix and
mash the food. The juices made by glands in the lining of the stomach help to
digest the food partially. After that food moves into the small intestine.
3. How do our lungs work?
Ans: Lungs help us to breathe. The lungs expand when we take in oxygen. This is
called inhalation and they contract when we exhale carbon- di- oxide. This is
called exhalation.
4. Write a short note on liver.
Ans- Liver is the largest gland in human body. Liver helps in digestion of fats. It
makes proteins important for blood clotting and other functions.
5. Write 2 functions of heart.
Ans- i) Heart pumps blood to all the other parts of our body through blood vessels
of our circulatory system.
ii) Blood provides the body with oxygen and nutrients.

1.Why is it important to chew the food properly?
