World Map
 The world map is called Mercator projection.
 It was developed all the way back in 1569.
 There seven continents of the world in order.
1. Asia
2. Africa
3. North America
4. South America
5. Antarctica
6. Europe
7. Oceania
 Zealandia is called 8th continent in the world
 There are 195 countries in the world today
 193 countries are member of UN
 2 countries (The Holy See, Palestine) are non-member observer
states
All about Asia
 Asia is the largest continent.
 The land area of Asia is 44.58 million km2
 Asia population is nearly 59.76% of the total world population
 The population density in Asia is 150 people per km2
 According to United Nations, there are 48 countries in Asia
 Three dependent states in Asia
1. Taiwan (China)
2. Hong Kong (China)
3. Macao (China)
 There are 12 landlocked countries in Asia.
A landlocked cannot access the ocean since the nearest cost is in another
administrative unit.
 There is one double landlocked country in Asia—Uzbekistan
Double landlocked country means a country that is surrounded by another landlocked
country
