SPECLACLTY CONTACT LENS WORKSHOP organised by Dr.Agarwal institute of
optometry.
I heartly welcome our dean Dr.karpagam maam and our principal Sudha maam and Fouzia
maam.
I do hereby welcome the distinguished speakers - MR YESHWANT SAOJI sir - M.OPTOM,
FLVPEI, FIACLE. He is Senior optometrist from Nagpur who specializes in the field of
contact lenses and in practice for 29years.

of the core idea innovations,Chennai.curently working as doctoral researches,in chitkara
university, Punjab

Becoming an expert in anything starts with a passion for the subject. A speciality in
contact lenses can be exceptionally rewarding, however it will take a level of dedication that
requires true clinical interest, not simply a financial goal. Our first topic for today will be
about Rose K lenses by Maheshwari Srinivasan mam.
Now I would like to welcome Ms. Harini Jesintho student of DAIO to talk about our first
speaker of today’s session.
Your presentation was way beyond to put it in words mam. Thank You for such a fabulous
detail lecture on Rose-K lens.

The first time most people see a scleral contact lens the immediate response is “wow that’s
big”. The size of a scleral lens can be intimidating but there are so many reasons for patients
to learn to love these larger contact lenses

Maheshwari Srinivasan M.optom ,F.I.A.C.L.E., F.A.S.C.O.

She’s the founder and CEO of Core Idea Innovations, Chennai. Currently working as doctoral
researcher in Chitkara University, Punjab and research guide at DAIO, Chennai.
She did her Bachelor of Optometry from Elite school of Optometry, Chennai.
Masters in Clinical optometry from SJS institute of Optometry, Sankara Eye Hospital,
Chennai,
Cleared FIACLE in 2013, accomplished FASCO in contact lens specialization in 2014 and
completed certification course on introduction to machine learning from IIT Madras in 2020
She worked as an optometrist in Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai and Branch Manager and
Consultant optometrist in alwazzan opticians located in state of bahrain,
She has also worked in Turakhia opticals, Chennai as a consultant optometrist
Worked as senior lecturer at DAIO handling around 8 subjects with her keen interest and
enthusiasm.
And worked as a Manager in product development and clinical sciences in ELISAR vision
technology, Chennai.
She published journal article on J cataract refractive surgery in 2017 on single pass four
throw pupilloplasty and in AAO 2021 on advanced vision analyser
She orally presented research papers in

 1st asia optometric congress and 6th ASEAN optometric conference, 2016
 Global speciality lens symposium, 2017

Good morning to one and all present here

Its my privilege to introduce the speaker for the day. Mr Yeshwanth saoji sir for the contact
lenses workshop 2022 held at Dr Agarwals Institute of Optometry. He is a senior optometrist
from Nagpur, who is specialised in the field of Contact lenses & has been in practice for
29years.
He has done his Bachelor’s degree in optometry from Elite school of optometry and Masters
in optometry from Bharathi Vidhyapeeth University, Pune.
He is actively associates with contact lens education in India and has been given a life time
accredation as a fellow of international association of contact lens educators (FIACLE),
Australia. For his uninterrupted fellowship for over 15yrs
He is also the senior faculty at vision care institute Of Johnson and Johnson India. A key
opinion leader for Bausch and Lomb & Alcon.
He was awarded the best optometrist of the year 2011 by Shankara Nethralaya Chennai
The living legend by optometrist student association of AIIMS and BIPOK ambassador for
working towards myopia control awareness in India
His areas of practice are Contact lens in complicated corneas and specialty Contact lenses
including ortho k and myopia control Contact lenses
His clinic – Saoji Vision care has been voted as India’s first centre of excellence for fitting
irregular corneas by David Thomas Contact Lens of UK
For the love of education, he along with Optom Nilesh Thite co-founder master class
optometry with the intension of making a difference in optometry education in India and they
conduct lot of educational programs and conferences across India
Recently the alumni of LVPEI optometry at their annual virtual conference voted him as the
alumnus of the year 2021

Good morning ladies and gentlemen it gives me an immense pleasure to be part of this
auspicious occasion I heartily welcome everybody present here.
Today we are gathered here for the Specialty Contact Lens workshop now I would like to
introduce to you all our respected Ms. Savita mam.
She has done her bachelor’s degree in optometry from sankara nethralaya Chennai.
And master’s degree in business administration from ICFAI university, Tripura.
She has also completed certifications from global ok vision and ANSAL university.
Also done certification course on impression scleral lenses by la ser eye jewelry, USA,
Currently pursuing FSLS [ fellow of scleral lens education society], US.
She received Dr. P P santhanam jayalakshmi award for best optometrist of the year 2020-21
in the 32nd institutional award ceremony of elite school of optometry from
prof .arunachalam ravikumar.
She was souvenired by optometric association of tamil nanbargal [oatn] for contribution
towards myopia awareness video facilitated by honourable health minister Mr. ma
subramaniam.
She has also been souvenired by SRM medical college hospital and research center for
conducting CME on rose k lenses.
She was the guest speaker about why myopia control in a CME conducted by myokiddo
lenses, c&j optics US she was also the guest speaker on optometry practise during covid 19
practioners perspective by eye gurukul and indian optometric association.
