    Description

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 is a cellulase preparation produced using a genetically modified strain of a non-pathogenic
    fungi. The preparation is efficient in the modification of cellulosic material and is especially a suitable component
    for liquid detergent formulations.

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 preparation is classified as cellulase (endo-1,4--D-glucanase) with

    Properties

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 is a clear, light coloured aqueous liquid with a density of approximately 1.0 - 1.1 g/ml.

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 contains a declared minimum activity of 38 000 NCU/g. The cellulase activity is determined
    on CMC substrate at 50°C and pH 7.0. Detailed description of the method (B-033) is available on request.

    Application

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 is a liquid cellulase enzyme product specifically developed for improving the cleaning effect
    of liquid detergents. The product is efficient in:
    • antigreying
    • antiredepositioning
    • the removal of pigment dirt

    BIOTOUCH FLX 1 keeps garments looking attractive for longer by enhancing whiteness while being stable in
    the presence of potentially degrading substances, e.g. various classes of surfactants and proteases, and being
    exceptionally stable even at high storage temperatures. These characteristics are critical for flexibility in
    formulating detergents.

    The preferred process conditions for the product are:


    - pH of washing water: 6 – 10
    - temperature: 30 – 70°C (86 - 158°F)
    - enzyme dosage: 0.1 – 0.5 % of the detergent’s weight

    The recommended dosage will vary according to detergent formulations and washing conditions, and the
    desired level of performance should be based on the experimental results.

    Storage
    Store BIOTOUCH FLX 1 below 25ºC or preferably below 10ºC to ensure the maximum shelf life. Extended
    storage or adverse conditions such as high temperature may lead to higher dosage requirement.

    Handling
    Avoid the formation of aerosol and dust of the product. Repeated inhalation of enzyme aerosol or dust may
    cause sensitisation and may cause allergic type reactions in sensitised individuals. For further details on the
