2- DETAILS OF FAILURE INCLUDING CONSEQUENTLY DAMAGE

01-Engine oil, oil filler, fuel filter & air filter changed by the customer at it's appropriate time.
02- pyrometer battery found low need to be replaced with new.

3- BRIEF DETAILS OF REPAIR METHOD

01- visited the customer service checked genset in stop condition.


02- Walk around inspection checked all fluid levels found normal.
03- started genset off load found all running parameters normal.
04- stop the genset performed maintenance service as per cat specs.
05- Removed all tappet cover breather filter and air filter.
06- checked & adjusted intake & exhaust valve - lash.
07- checked & adjusted fuel injector timing & fuel synchronization.
08- checked valve - bridge, valve springs, Push rods.
09- checked both sides turbo charger compressor wheel side found normal.
10- checked & Re adjusted the fan belt, charging alternator belt.
11-checked radiator core & Fuel cooler core found normal.
12- checked & Clean breather filter & battery terminal.
13- checked & cleaned the main alternator with air.
14-- checked & grease actuator linkage & N.D.E. bearing of the main alternator.
14- checked power & control wiring, .D.V.R. connections found ok.
15- checked Diolde, Varistor & PMG found as Up-0.036", Down -0.032", Left-0.0 35", Right0.0 33".
16- checked magger of main stator found 1.64 G ohm.
17- checked Starting motor condition and connection found ok
18- checked SMR relay box and fuses found ok.
19- Checked MPU condition, clean and install it.
20- Perform earth test found 1.18 ohm.
21- checked the excitation system found ok.
22- checked complete harness condition found ok.
23- After completing all the jobs energised the system .
24- Then started genset off load found normal then put on available load up to 680 KW found normal.
25- checked blow by found 325L/mints @680 KW .
26- checked vibration on load found normal.
RPM -1510, oil pressure 470 kpa, jacket water temperature 77c, battery voltage -26.9 vdc.
L1-1090amp, L2-1120amp, L3 1179 amp
50.8 Hz, A/C voltage -403.
