BARNHILL CAREER FAIR

Barnhill’s Career Fair will be on Wednesday, November 20th.
We will have lots of guests here to inspire our students by sharing
their journey as they have a chance to interact and speak with
someone whose career choice interests them.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Do you want to volunteer in your child’s school?
There is lots of need for volunteers to come to Barnhill.
Coaches, dances, clubs, breakfast, lunch help, and working in the
classrooms. Any help is appreciated!
Please contact Ms. Ferguson or Mrs. Musie.

PSSC
PSSC Meeting will be held on Monday, November 18th
from 6 -7pm.
All are welcome!
FOOTWEAR
Messy weather is on the horizon. Starting on Monday, the expectation
is for students to have a pair of indoor shoes to wear throughout the
day inside the school.
DIVERSITY AND RESPECT WEEK
November 18th - 22nd is Diversity and Respect Week!
Barnhill works hard on supporting the uniqueness and diversity of our staff, students, and
extended communities. We strive to make everyone feel welcome, safe, and included in our
school.
This week, we want to focus on celebrating our differences, learning more about empathy,
unlearning biases, and keeping this conversation going!
UNIVERSAL CHILD’S DAY
November 20th is Universal Child’s Day!
This day is to help acknowledge and help remind people that children have rights to
play, education, medical treatment and more.

To celebrate this day, the Culture and Diversity Club will be hosting a Sock-Hop in
the gym at lunch and quiet colouring in Room 36 for others.
PBIS BLITZ
In November, we are challenging students to work on their time management skills.
We ask that students work towards being on time for each class and homeroom.
The expectation is that when the bell rings, students are in their classroom ready
to learn.
Teachers will be tracking this and students that are able to achieve this goal will
be rewarded!
GIFT BASKET FUNDRAISER
There are two baskets for our Grade 8 Quebec Trip fundrasier. A Chocolate Bar
Basket and a Christmas Basket.

If you want to sell tickets for these baskets, you need to bring in a chocolate
bar and/or a Christmas item for the basket. What you bring in will determine
which basket you get tickets for.

Please see Mrs. Muise to get tickets.
