FEATURES:

 The ESE lightning protection system is in full compliance with French lightning
protection standard NFC 17-102 & Spanish norm UNE-21186

 The air terminal is Early Streamer Emission (E.S.E.) type which is equipped with
an upper series of spark-generating electrodes. The triggering device of the E.S.E. air
terminal is sealed in a stainless-steel housing fixed at the center of its central rod.

 The air terminal shall be fixed at the top of a GI elevation pole with base so as be at
least 2 meters above the structure to be protected. Its height above roof level would
be dependent on the level of protection and the protection radii required.

 The air terminal should be working on the principle of early streamer emission
using non-radio active technology, needing no external power source.

 The air terminal should be capable of tracking the lightning stroke 60 micro
seconds earlier as compare to passive lightning rod.

 The air terminal is made of stainless steel and it has qualified diameter to resist high
values of lightning currents

 FOREND ESE lightning conductor consists of 3parts:

i) Air Terminal
ii) Ion Generator
iii) Roof connection Pipe with Adaptor

 Ion generator is located in a special section which is of stainless body inside and
covered with special resin to shield from external effect. As the atmospheric electric field
increases during lightning storm, generator becomes active and ionizes surrounding air.

 Roof connection pipe should be capable of withstand in lightning strikes having

dimension 50mm OD and 60mm ID. The terminal adaptor having inner dia 60mm
OD.

FEATURES:

 The Lightning strikes are detected and monitored by FOREND LSC, which is able to
give some information about the service necessity of the lightning system. By using an
inductive record, the counter is able to accurately count all lightning events for a later
reference

 FOREND LSC works with an inductive effect of the lightning strike current. The events
are monitored by a mechanical counter display

 FOREND LSC is a serial counter with 6digit mechanical display unit

 FOREND LSC includes a high frequency transformer

 The counter shall be nonresettable

 It detect the lightning currents, which is more than 2KA

 FOREND LSC does not require any external power supply

 The lightning event counter shall be installed to the manufacturer’s instructions in a

readily accessible manner so that readings can be taken at regular intervals. It shall
be positioned such that it’s operating temperature is in the range of –10 deg C to +50
deg C

 The lightning event counter shall be robust, easy to install and housed in an IP65
rated enclosure. The counter shall operate from the energy of the lightning
discharge and not rely on external or battery power to operate

FEATURES:

 The air terminal shall be connected to the grounding system through an insulated
down conductor consisting of single core PVC insulated stranded copper cable of
conductor cross sectional area 50 sq. mm. conforming to IS: 2465.(actual length may
vary as per site condition ) to be supplied by the tenderer

 In the final 3m/5m to the ground and where it is exposed to human intervention, the
down conductor shall be placed in a protective PVC pipe of 3mm minimum wall
thickness to avoid mechanical damage and increase human safety

 The down conductor shall be capable of direct connection to the base of the air
termination by use of bolted connection

 The down conductor after routing must be kept in constant physical contact with the
structure via conductive clamps. The top 10% of the installed length from the terminal
must be anchored at least every 1meter

 Should be suitable for use on any kind of electrode & all kinds of grounds of different
sensitivity through the simple spill of the proper solution to the ground, which surrounds
the electrode
