ART
INTRODUCTION
Industrial arts is a field of study and
practice that focuses on the design,
production, and application of objects
and systems using tools, materials, and
processes.
It encompasses a wide range of
disciplines, including manufacturing,
engineering, technology, and crafts.
• Industrial arts in education is a
hands-on, project-based approach
to learning that focuses on the
design, creation, and application
of tangible objects and systems.
• It goes beyond theoretical
knowledge by providing students
with practical experiences that
develop their skills.
CARPENTRY
CARPENTRY
Carpentry is the skilled trade
of working with wood to
construct, install, and
maintain structures,
furniture, and other items.
CARPENTRY
TOOLS
HAMMER CLAW
-A Hammer Claw is a versatile tool primarily used
in carpentry for driving nails into a pulling them
out of wood. It’s a staple in woodworking, but also
finds use in general applications.

-The other kind of head is the waffle head. Most

commonly used in construction, it leaves a
distinctive waffle mark on the wood when you
drive the nail. This, of course, is not the proper nail
for woodworking.
C0PING SAW

-The Coping saw is used

to cut shapes out of
wood. The blade is thin
to allow it to move freely
.
CHISEL Chisel are precision tools used
for shaping wood, carving
details, and creating clean
joints. They come in various
shapes and sizes, including
bench chisels, mortise chisels,
and carving chisels, each
designed for specific tasks.
SCREWDRIVER
Screwdriver is one of the
important hand tools for
different woodworking project. It
is used to drive or loosen screw
into the wood. A woodworking
screwdriver has some basic parts
like handle, shank, blade, and tip.
TENON SAW The saw used for
cutting wood straight.
It’s backed with a
strong material
(typically brass) to
ensure it stays straight.
CARPENTER’S
PENCIL
These sturdy and flat-sided
pencils are designed for
marking and layout work on
wood. Their flat shape
prevents them from rolling
away and allows for precise
markings.
TAPE MEASURE
The common tape measure is the
cornerstone of accurate
measurements in carpentry. It
allows you to measure and mark
dimensions with precision,
ensuring your cuts and joints are
spot-on.
UTILITY KNIFE A utility knife is a handy
tool for scoring, cutting,
and trimming materials.
It’s perfect for tasks that
require precision and
control, such trimming
excess materials.
LEVEL
Achieving a level surface
and ensuring a vertical
alignment is crucial. A
level helps you maintain
accuracy in your projects.
THE NAIL SET
The nail setter will usually
have either a convex or
concave surface to grip
the nail better and keep it
from sliding off and
marring the wood.
ELECTRONIC
ELECTRONIC
Electronics is a scientific and
engineering discipline that studies
and applies the principles of
physics to design, create, and
operate devices that manipulate
electrons and other electrically
charged particles.
SOLDERING IRON
Soldering iron is a handheld
tool used in soldering. This is
a process where solder (a
fusible metal alloy typically a
wire) is heated to a high
temperature with the tip of
the soldering iron.
Multimeter is a
measuring instrument
that can measure
multiple electrical
properties.
WIRE
STRIPPER
Wire stripper is a
small hand-held tool
that is used to
remove the insulation
from electric wires.
SCREWDRIVER
Screwdrivers are a type
of hand tool used for
the insertion and
removal of screws.
NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS
Needle nose pliers have
tips bent at a 450° angle,
making them ideal for
opening and closing jump
rings with your hands in a
comfortable position
Plier used for gripping
something round like a pipe
or rod, some are used for
twisting wires, and others
are designed to be used for a
combination of tasks,
including cutting wire.
A power supply unit is used to
provide stable electricity. The
device converts and supplies
electricity of the required voltage
and frequency, excluding noise
from the electricity obtained from
an electrical outlet.
Wire strippers are used to
remove the insulation from
electric wires to make
contact. Wire cutters are
commonly used to cut
copper, brass, iron,
aluminum, and steel wire.
MASONRY
MASONRY
Masonry is the craft of building a
structure with brick, stone, or
similar material, including mortar
plastering which are often laid in,
bound, and pasted together by
mortar. The term masonry can
also refer to the building units
(stone, brick, etc.) themselves.
A brick is a type of
construction material used
to build walls, pavements
and other elements in
masonry construction.
CONCRETE
MONTAR
Natural stones are
quarried or smaller pieces
of rock, which itself is a
large concreted mass of
earth or mineral matter.
BRICK
HAMMER
VENEER MORTAR
Veneer Mortar.
Similar to regular
mortar, veneer
mortar is a special
material to help
masonry units stick
to angled surfaces
and structures.
A cold chisel is a
tool that cuts bricks
and veneer stone in
half. It has a flat,
wide head.
Masonry cutting
tools are essential
to cut through hard
materials like brick.
WIRE BRUSH
Wire Brush. Wire
brushes are used to
scrape away chips of
rock and concrete
that get in your work
area.
PLUMBING
PLUMBER
WRENCHES
Plumbers use pipe wrenches to
tighten and loosen nuts and
fittings on pipes. Two of these
are often used together, one for
holding a pipe in place and the
other for rotating a nut or
fitting.
PIPE CUTTER
Pipe Cutter a tool or
machine for cutting
pipe. Cuts pipes
cleanly and accurately.
PLUNGER
Plunger handheld tools used to
clear blockages in drains and
pipes. Plumbing plungers
consist of a rubber suction cup
attached to a stick (shaft)
usually made of wood or
plastic.
TEFLON TAPE Commonly used
in plumbing for
sealing pipe
threads.
BASIN
WRENCH

Is a specialized tool for

installing or removing
kitchen and bathroom
sink faucets.
PLUMBING
SNAKE (AUGER)
A slender, flexible auger used to
dislodge clogs in plumbing. The
plumber's snake is often
reserved for difficult clogs that
cannot be loosened with a
plunger. It is also sometimes
called a toilet jack.
PIPER
THREADER
Is a tool designed to
create threads on the
end of a metal pipe.
HACKSAW
Hard blades and
small teeth designed
