Acceptable English Language Qualifications
Acceptable English Language Qualifications
Acceptable English Language Qualifications
This is the list of qualifications approved by the University of Hull for assessment of proficiency in English language for admission to on-campus
programmes.
For applicants who need a Tier 4 visa no other qualifications are accepted for language evidence. However the University considers a wider
range of evidence for students who do not need a Tier 4 visa and individual cases are considered at the discretion of the Dean of Faculty.
Applicants should check the English language requirements for their preferred programme as some programmes may have higher
requirements than the minimum stated in the tables.
Where individual skills scores are required these must be achieved on one certificate.
Acceptance will normally be based on the candidate’s most recent qualification or test result.
The University will review this list in line with future changes to UKVI Tier 4 visa policy and it may therefore change at any time. Offers will be revised if
necessary when UKVI policy changes. English language evidence is in addition to any other academic requirements for admission for a particular
programme. The University may, at its discretion, place additional requirements within individual offers.
