• Please read through the entire pattern before you start.
• Size information is on page 8.
• Depending on the yarn you use, you may want to choose a hook small enough so your stitches are tight
and to prevent stuffing from showing through.
• Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning / end of rounds.
• Gauge is not essential as long as you keep your tension consistent.
• Please use felt or thread for the eyes if giving to babies, young children or pets as safety eyes can be a
choking hazard.
• Alternative to magic ring: Ch 2, work 6 sc (or # of sts noted in Round 1) in 2nd ch from hook. Then, continue
on in rounds as noted in the pattern. Search YouTube for video tutorials.

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS – The Tu’s
Legs à Body à Attach Arms à Head
• Worked from bottom to top.
• Work in continuous rounds, do not join or turn unless noted in pattern.
Starting with the left leg…
With color & hook of choice, work magic ring, ch 1 to secure ring.
Round 1: Work 6 sc in magic ring (6)
Rounds 2-3: 1 sc in each st around (6)
Fasten off here for left leg. Set aside for joining with right leg later.
Work on right leg now, starting from Round 1. We will connect the two legs at
Round 4.
Round 4: You will be going from the inside toward the outside of the right leg,
then from the outside to the inside of the left leg.
Pick up both legs and position them so that they are facing the same direction.
Insert hook in next st of right leg as well as the next st of left leg, work 1 sc to
connect them together. This 1 sc you just made will NOT count toward your
stitch count. Next, work 1 sc in same st – this is your starting point so place your
stitch marker here. Your next sc will be on the left leg (leg on your left side).
Continuing around, working 1 sc in each st from left to right leg, making sure to
omit the connecting st mentioned earlier. (12)
Stuff with fiberfill as work progresses.
Rounds 5-8: 1 sc in each st around (12)
Have the arms ready as we will be attaching them in the next round!
Round 9: 1 sc in next 2 sts. Attach arms in next 2 sts by flattening top of arm so
that 2 sts of arm aligns with next 2 sts of body. Work 1 sc in these 2 sts, stitching
through both layers to secure the arm. Then, work 1 sc in next 4 sts. Next, attach
the other arm the same way in the next 2 sts. Lastly, work 1 sc in last 2 sts. (12)
Be sure to stuff the body. We will work on the head now.

In my sample & the photos below, I threaded a tail all the way across for the window to make the cross.
Alternatively, you may do it halfway by going into the center stitch (where you made the magic ring), then
repeat that for the other 3 ‘bars’ – a very helpful tip from my tester, to make it a bit sturdier of a bar!

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS – The Little Carrot

• Work in continuous rounds, do not join or turn unless noted in pattern.
• Stuff carrot lightly as work progresses.
• Worked from top to bottom.

Round 9: 1 sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog in next st (4)
Fasten off and leave a tail. Weave tail through last 4 sts to close. Weave in ends.
The ‘inside piece’ of the carrot house is designed to fit inside the house, which is the ‘outside piece’. You
should be able to fit all 4 bunnies inside the house plus a few of the
little carrots. It makes for a perfect play set for kids (of all ages!).

SIZE INFORMATION
Did you know? ‘Tu’ means rabbit in Mandarin Chinese. Hence, the
name! Thank you to my tester, Margie, for the awesome idea!
Below are approximate size measurements for your reference.
PapaTu & MamaTu: 6” tall from tip of ear to feet x 2.75” at the widest part (head).
Tutu: 5.5” tall x 2.25” at the widest part (head).
Toto: 4.75” tall x 2” at the widest part (head).
Carrot House (outside piece): 11.25” in height from top of
greens to bottom x 9.75” at the widest part.
Carrot House (inside piece): 4.5” in height x 5.5” wide.
Little Carrot: 2.5” long x 0.6” at the widest part.
Adjust your hook size or use heavier/lighter weight yarn if you would like a larger/smaller Traveling Tu
family. I do recommend using stiffer yarn for the carrot house so that it keeps its shape.
I hope you had fun making this play set as much as I did! Share your finished projects with me – tag me
and use the hashtag #doriyumi on social media :) I would really love to see your projects!!
