ABSTRACT

The main moto to develop our product “Onion Sapling Machine” is

to reduce human efforts. The farmer used to sow the saplings by their hands,

thus we got an idea of our project.

In many parts of the world there are much technologies which

reduces human efforts. But we are the only one to introduce this Semi-

automatic Sapling Machine.

Our product has low cost and high efficiency and accuracy which also gives

equi-distance length between two saplings.

The machine needs to be pulled from one of the end. There is a sapling

bed on the tray as soon as we pull the sapling get sowed one by one with

equal distance between them.

There is small plow situated just below the pulling handle, which digs

out the soil and makes efficient space for the sapling to be sowed.

Following factor are needed as follow

1. Soil should be watered before sowing

2. Sapling bed should be put

INTRODUCTION
Today in 21st century where technology has been so
developed in agriculture sector, but still there are some corners where
we are facing some major issues. Especially when it comes to Onion
Plantation, to plant the onions there are some traditional and different
techniques to handle the seeds and to take care of the yield. There is
most old and inefficient way to plant the seeds or to cultivate it which
is shown in the below figure.
Looking forward to these problems faced by the farmers and
women’s, the way they plant crops or the posture they have while this
procedure, they face postural stiffness and other such injuries, we
won’t say that “there are no equipment to make these work easy”, but
farmers can’t afford such heavy and costly equipment.

There are some steps before to prepare the seeds or crop to sow,

Step 1: Prepare the Seeds. ...

Step 2: Demarcate Space to Grow the Plant & get the Soil Ready. ...
Step 3: Keep an Eye on the Tray. ...
Step 4: Ensure the Saplings Are Sown in Rows. ...
Step 5: The Crop Will Be Ready for Harvest in Four to Five Months. ...
Step 6: Once Harvested, Pile the Harvested Onions with the Leaves.
