 WELCOME
In 2016 , Siamak Fallahi founded the contemporary
ensemble with alone. The Ensemble’s member’s share a
passion for 20th-21st century and contemporary persian
music.They are employed on project contract, enabling
them to fulfill the major aims of the Ensemble:
performance, creation and education for young
musicians and the general public.
Under the artistic direction of siamak fallahi, the
Musicians work in close collaboration with composers,
exploring instrumental techniques and developing
projects that music, theater, video and visual arts. New
pieces are commissioned and performed on a regular
basis. The Ensemble is renown for its strong emphasis
on music education: concerts for people, creative
workshops for students, training programs for future
performers, conductors, composers, etc.

About
Tehran Contemporary Ensemble is a
contemporary music ensemble of some soloists
dedicated to the performance and promotion of
music from the persian contemporary composers
and musician.

About one year this ensemble of highly

professional musicians has been performing a
repertoire of orchestral music in all its diverse
forms. under the artistic direction of siamak fallahi
they are united by a shared passion for new
persian music .they accompany composers in the
performing of new performance and extended
techniques computer music and encounters with
other forms of artistic expression such as theater
video visual arts and persian folkloric and
traditional forms.

Siamak Fallahi is the Music Director of the Tehran Contemporary
Ensemble.Fallahi began his musical training in conducting, studying with
Nader Mashayekhi, but composing took a more prominent role in his life
while he was in his early nineteen. Soon after, he divided his time equally
between the two disciplines of conducting and composing .

 NADER MASHAYEKHI
COMPOSER and
CONDUCTOR

Nader Mashayekhi from 2006 to July 2007 he was conductor of the Tehran Symphony
Orchestra.Mashayekhi studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna under the
tutelage of Roman Haubenstock-Ramati. In the 1990s he was music director of the Austrian new music
ensemble "Wien 2001".
His works have been performed by Klangforum Wien (1992-95), Ensemble Work in Progress, Berlin
(1993), Ensemble Zwischen Töne, Berlin (1997-98-99-2000), Savarian Symphony Orchestra (1997),
Radio Symphony Orchestra, Vienna (1998), and the Tehran Symphony Orchestra (1998-2000).

Arsalan Abedian was the assistant of the electronic studio (fmsbw) of the Institute for
New Music (Incontri) at the HMTMH during his studies. His works have been
performed mainly by Yarava Music Group in Iran and by different ensembles like
Esbjerg Ensemble, Ensemble Mosaik, musica assoluta, Ensemble musikFabrik,
Ensemble Laboratorium and Ensemble Schwerpunkt in festivals like KunstFestSpiele,
Musik 21, SinusTon, Ankunft Neue Musik, Csound Conference, and next_generation at
ZKM in Germany, Denmark, France, US, Russia, Uruguay and Ireland.

Arshia Samsaminia He studied composition at Sibelius Academy in Finland , Estonian Academy of

Music and Theater and Tbilisi Music Conservatory in Georgia His compositions has been selected and
performed in different festivals such as Sound of Stockholm 2017 , Art and Science day 2016 Bourges
France ,Mixtur 2017 Barcelona , UNM Nordisk Musik Festival Iceland 2017, Łódź Academy of Music
Poland , Batumi Contemporary Music Festival Georgia , Eufonija Festival Serbia and etc. He has had
composition and orchestrating projects, collaborations with Stockholm Saxophone Quartet(Sweden),
Persson-Meitzner Duo (Sweden) , Sepia Ensemble (Poland), GEPO (UNESCO) orchestra in Paris,
Tbilisi Contemporary Ensemble, Omnibus Ensemble , and etc.

,and play contemporary music is at the heart of the
ensemble mission .the ensemble’s commitment to
transmission its experience skills and know-how is
visible in the several dozens initiatives undertaken
each season to reach a diversified public . this
include educational concerts, school workshops,
gatherings to introduce young composers,
preconcert rehearsals for audience members keen
to learn about composers and their works,
instrument workshops in music academy
improvement classes and international academies
for future music professionals.
