    Dear Applicant,
    JIIPCC MENTORSHIP AND INTERNSHIP OFFER LETTER
    We are pleased to offer you an educational internship and mentorship opportunity for 7 weeks.
    You will report directly to Joseph Oboh and Dennis Williams virtually. You will not be paid for
    this position.
    For this position, your major duties will include:
    ● To submit a 7 minute PowerPoint presentation on assigned topics given to your group
    every week.
    ● Attend virtual sessions, 2 hours, once a week to discuss your PowerPoint presentation
    and interact with mentors.

    1) Intellectual property mentees/interns - Friday at 4pm (WAT) for 7 weeks, starting


    on the 8th of March, 2024.
    2) Artificial intelligence and technology mentees/interns - Friday at 12:00pm (WAT)
    for 7 weeks, starting on the 8th of March, 2024.
    3) The energy industry mentees/interns - Saturday at 11am (WAT) for 7 weeks,
    starting on the 9th of March, 2024.
    4) Fintech mentees/interns - Saturday at 2pm (WAT) for 7 weeks, starting on the 9th
    of March, 2024.
    5) Health Tech and Law mentees/interns - Sunday at 4pm (WAT) 7 weeks, starting
    on the 10th of March, 2024.
    6) Data Protection and Privacy mentees/interns - Saturday at 5pm (WAT) 7 weeks,
    starting on the 9th of March, 2024.
    7) Entertainment Business and Law mentees/interns - Thursday at 6pm (WAT) 7
    weeks, starting on the 7th of March, 2024.
    8) Alternative Dispute Resolution mentees/interns - Wednesday at 6pm (WAT) for 7
    weeks, starting on the 6th March, 2024.
    9) Patent Drafting mentees/interns - Sunday at 6:30pm (WAT) for 7 weeks, starting
    on the 10th of March, 2024.
    10) Blockchain, NFTs and Metavrse - Friday at 7:30pm (WAT) for 7 weeks, starting
    on the 8th of March, 2024.

    ● To participate in occasional research assignments.


    ● To write at least one article before the end of the nine weeks programme.
    ● To make at least one awareness video on a researched topic.
    Therefore, your first group presentation should be submitted on the 4th of March, 2023.
    Mentors would review weekly presentations and provide an explanation of them during the
    weekly meetings. Online sessions would be streamed live, recorded, and posted. You hereby
    agree that your voice and image will be captured during the live sessions and can be used by
    JIIPCC.
    Duration: This internship and mentorship programme will last for 7 weeks.
    Payment: This programme is valued at $1,000, however, it is fully sponsored by JIIPCC,
    especially through the commitment of expert practitioners who have volunteered to be mentors,
    and are committed to seeing the next generation fully equipped with the knowledge and skills
    needed to be relevant and valuable on a global scale. Therefore, this programme is coming to you
    absolutely FREE. To this end, the program value has been paid for by the sacrifice of JIIPCC
    and its mentors.
    Certificate: A certificate of attendance will be issued to every mentee/intern at the end of the 7
    weeks programme on confirmation of receipt of $10/Dollars or ₦10,000/Naira to meet the cost
    of the Certificate and other administration costs. In line with our desire to set a global standard
    for programmes of this nature, we hope that the issuance of Certificates will act as proof of
    attendance and completion of the program as well as deepen our commitment to attain
    collaboration status with global IP actors across the Globe. This is meant to provide structure and
    is a prerequisite for admittance into the programme. You are to attend at least 5 mentorship
    classes out of the prescribed 7 classes to get your certificate of attendance at the end, if you
    will miss any class, fill in the absence link.
    Payment: Payment of the certificate fee should be made using the account detail JIIPCC

    Submission/Acceptance: To accept this mentorship/internship offer, send a signed copy of this
    agreement and your evidence of payment of certificate ($10/Dollars or ₦10,000/Naira) to
    [email protected].
    Confidentiality: You shall not share official documents or trade secrets with anyone outside
    JIIPCC except you are given the authorization to do so in writing.
    Please Note:
    ● You would be added to a WhatsApp group for easier dissemination of information.
    ● You are to inform your supervisor if you will be absent from any session.
    ● You are encouraged to attend all sessions and put your video on.
    ● Through this Internship and Mentorship programme, YOU will be granted access to
