INTRODUCTION
The information you are about to receive from this reading of
your Odu, which was revealed during Itenifa ( Ifa initiation) is
the workings of the dynamic forces within you, which were
formed by your emanation and at the point of your existence
on this terrestrial plane. Also, it bothers on the cosmic forces
that are spiritual and beyond your control.

The dynamic forces are your potentials, natural qualities and

strength of your character to be controlled in order to
strengthen your public image and boost your popularity.
Whereas, the cosmic forces or components are from Ayanmo,
Akunleyan and Akunlegba, these three components are
loosely described as Destiny or Heavenly gift/virtues.

The Ayanmo is interplay to forces, which are usually divine,

and in consonant with the inventive precepts of Olodumare
(The Almighty God of creation). Ayanmo of your life cannot be
changed. Once you are created with it, it remains so till the
expiration of your life on this planet earth. Ayanmo includes
sex of an individual, race, family, parent, growth, and other
natural rules of which an individual must tow and obey.

Akunleyan are the virtues and values chosen in heaven

consequent upon your actions/activities in your previous
evolution or existence. They are actually things chosen by you
and most of the time form your likes and dislikes or taboo.

Akunlegba are the gifts or virtues added by various Irunmole

at the presence of Onibode (celestial sentinel) in heaven or
just before you emanate into the world. They are like spices,
additives, preservatives, and vehicles of propagation of
Ayanmo and Akunleyan or things that complement the
Akunleyan in order to fulfill your destiny on earth.

The reading of your Odu helps to determine or reveal your

talent limitations, assets, shortcomings, possibilities and
probabilities. You should use the appropriate ebo (sacrifice)
which has same polarity and magnetism to your Odu in order
to discover love, fortune health, hope, happiness, fulfilment in
life and longevity.

You should also avoid such things, which may hinder your
talents, or discoveries by observing your taboos as explained
to you during your Itenifa (Ifa initiation)

Pre-initiation Divination (Àdáwọgbódù)

Pre-initiation divination (Adawogbodu) is usually done before a

would-be initiate enters the Ifa grove. The essence of this
divination is to reveal the present situation of things about the
person. It states further and justifies the need or necessity for
the initiation. Sometimes, a clue or hint is revealed about any
unforeseen problems that may arise in the course/process of
initiation. Sometimes too it gives a guide or direction to be
followed or observed during the initiation.

The appropriate ebo (sacrifice) is done immediately, so that a

hitch free initiation is achieved, and to correct or amend any
sad or ugly occurrences that might have beset the would-be
initiate.

Post Initiation Divination (Ìta)

Ita, in simple translation means the post initiation divination

usually done on the third day of Itenifa (Ifa Initiation). The
significance of Ita is to reveal the situation of things
surrounding the initiate which may likely happen in the near
future. It acts as a support to the Odu revealed at initiation.
Through this divination, a babalawo is told by Ifa if all the
rituals and rites of initiation had been divinely endorsed by
the Irunmole and ultimately by God.

Ita, also re-emphasises and re-validates certain messages that

are sacrosanct in the main Odu reveal at initiation.

Sacrifices (ebo) are made immediately in order to engender

good tidings and possibly prevent any unhealthy occurrence
that may arise in the near future.

1. Ifa assures you that there is nothing on earth that you

are looking for that shall not be given unto you. Ifa says that
you are hearing this message so also were you hearing the
promise and assurance of Ifa that everything shall be giving
unto you. Ifa says that your name from heaven is Akinyode.
Ifa advises you to offer ebo with three roosters, three guinea-
fowls, three hens, three pigeons and money. you also need to
feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish and two hens. On this, Ifa

2. Ifa advises you to offer ebo in order for you to live long
on earth. The ebo materials for this are one matured he-goat,
plenty of palm oil, and money.

3. Ifa says that Obatala will provide you with children. You
will never come into this world without receiving your blessing
of childbearing. This blessing is one of the several others that
you have been assured from heaven. Ifa advises you to offer
ebo with four guinea-fowls, four pigeons, four hens, eight
snails and money. you also need to feed Obatala with shea-
butter, chalk, eight snails, ten yards of white clothes, and so
on.

4. Ifa says that through you many people will be initiated

into Ifa and through you several others will become Ifa
devotees. Ifa says that it is part of your destiny to lead and
guide others on the right path. Ifa advises you to offer ebo
with two roosters, two hens, and money. you also need to
feed Ifa with eight rats, eight fish and one hen. You must be
an Ifa ambassador at all times. On this, Ifa says:

5. Ifa advises you to offer ebo against uprising and crises.

Ifa says that this uprising is already on its way if it had not
occurred already. Ebo materials: three roosters, three hens
and money. you also need to feed the elders of the night with
two Okete, giant rat and feed Ifa with one matured she-goat.

6. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo and feed Sango in
order to overcome enemies and uprising. The ebo materials
here are six roosters, six hens, 200 pebbles and money. part
of these materials will be used to feed Sango as appropriate.

7. Ifa advises you to feed your Ori so that your Ori will open
the path of opportunities for you. Ebo materials four guinea-
fowls, four pigeons and money. you also need to feed your
Ori with one guinea-fowl.

8. Ifa advises you to add selling beads as part of your

business. If you cannot do this, allow your wife to be selling
the beads. Bead sales has the propensity to open the doors of
opportunities for you. Ebo materials, three pigeons, three
guinea-fowls and money. you also need to feed Ifa with one
pigeon and one guinea-fowl.

10. Ifa advises you to offer the ebo against contention with
the elders of the night. Ifa says that you have experienced
suffering before. This is the time that you are going to be
blessed with prosperity. And this is the time for you to offer
ebo so that the elders of the night will not spoil your things.
Ebo materials; one matured he-goat, one strong rope for tying
goat, and money. you also need to feed the elders of the
night as prescribed by Ifa.

11. Ifa says that you will beget a female child whom you
need to continuously offer ebo for in order to prevent her from
dying as an abiku. Ifa says that doing this will ensure that the
child does not die prematurely. Ifa advises you to offer ebo
for this daughter with one matured he-goat and money. on
this, Ifa says:

12. Ifa says that there is the tendency for you to give birth to
children of only one sex. For example, if you give birth to a
female child as your first child there is the possibility that all
your children will be female. And if your first child is a male,
you stand the chance of giving birth to all male children. If
you plan to give birth to both sexes there is the need for you
to offer ebo for it. The ebo materials here are two Okete,
giant rats, two hens and money. One of the Okete will be
used to feed Ifa together with one hen.

13. Ifa says that you are going to be blessed with success
and accomplishment. You are also going to be giving honour
and award everywhere that you go. Ifa says that your honour
is in the domain of Ifa and for this reason you need to hold on
to Ifa and Ifa will help you to achieve your heart desire. Ebo
materials: one matured she-goat, two guinea-fowls, two
pigeons, two hens and money. you also feed Ifa with one she-
goat, eight rats and eight fish. On this, Ifa says:

La Pre – Adivinación (Àdáwogbódù) es usualmente hecha

antes de que un pretendiente iniciado sea aceptado en la
tribu Ifa. La esencia de esta adivinación es para revelar la
situación presente de los asuntos de la persona. Muestra más
allá y justifica la obligación o la necesidad de la iniciación.
Algunas veces, una pista o un dato es revelado acerca de
problemas imprevistos que pueden aparecer en el
camino/proceso de iniciación. Algunas veces también, provee
una guía de la dirección que debe ser seguida u observada
durante la iniciación.

El Ebo apropiado (sacrificio) es hecho inmediatamente, para

que sea alcanzada una iniciación libre de sobresaltos, y para
corregir cualquier o enmendar cualquier ocurrencia triste o
desagradable que pueda asechar al aspirante a iniciado.

Adivinación Post Iniciación (Ìta)

Íta, traducido simple significa la adivinación después de la

iniciación usualmente hecha al tercer día del Itenifa (iniciación
Ifa). La importancia de Ìta se encuentra en la revelación de las
situaciones que rodean al iniciado las cuales pueden ocurrir
en el futuro cercano. Actúa como un soporte para el odu
revelado en la iniciación. A través de esta adivinación, se le
revela al Babalao mediante Ifa si todos los rituales y ritos de la
iniciación han sido divinamente aceptados por el Irumole y por
último por Dios.
Ìta, también re enfatiza y re valida ciertos mensajes que son
sacrosantos en el Odu principal en la iniciación.

Sacrificios (Ebo) son hechos inmediatamente para engendrar

arreglas positivos y posiblemente prevenir cualquier
eventualidad poco saludable que pueda surgir en el futuro
cercano.

Ifa le asegura a usted que no hay cosa en la tierra que usted
